The details of this drama. I didn't even realize until I saw a Douyin video of it. But throughout the episodes,…
Another detail, the arm brace that Lin Tuo used to hide that he has ALS. That arm brace we knew was from CGP but it was all the way back in episode one when Lin Tuo knocked CGP out with the ball and he had to use the same brace.
The details of this drama. I didn't even realize until I saw a Douyin video of it. But throughout the episodes, Lin Tuo has always been the one to hold an umbrella for An Zhique. Even in the early stage of him using a wheelchair, the umbrella was attached to his wheelchair armrest. Until the final episode when it was An Zhique who held the red umbrella over them during the snow scene.
I saw a clip of them appear on a stage and them dancing and she couldn't hold it in and went off to cry and it…
The drama itself was filmed in 2022.
Yeah, she is filming "Filter" (modern) with Tan Jianci currently. Should be done filming by April and she is supposedly set to film another drama (historical) soon.
The stage performance you linked was filmed in early March of this year/2024. It was for the CCTV show "Play the Play" (they basically reenact scenes and talk about the drama).

Yup, it was during their rehearsal for the stage performance. She definitely got sucked back into the role again and it must had been very emotional for her to see Lin Yi (Lin Tuo) standing and being able to dance with her. I think in that moment, Lin Yi understood that she needed to be alone. They were fine like some months ago at the Weibo Night event (there are pictures of them backstage talking and laughing together).
She wasn't able to take off from her current filming to join the cast in their recent event, but she was watching the live and said she heard Lin Yi saying how he couldn't contact her for awhile because he didn't want to make her cry.
The timeline is very confusing and too many time skips, can anyone clear it?
They met in their 3rd year of college, dated for around a year before AZQ met LT's family (both graduated and started looking for full time jobs).
When LT got diagnosed, we know he managed to hide it for around 6 months before people started finding out.
3-5 years probably passed throughout the course of episodes as his ALS advanced from using a wheelchair full-time, loss of his bladder function, entering the nursing home, taking charge of the ALS group, loss of other functions besides voice and eye movements, then even his voice starting to fade/speech slowed down.
Then finally we see 2 years passed with him at the end.
They don't make the time skips super obvious, but the passage of time is usually stated in their dialogues when the characters talk to each other.
Examples: AZQ: "I dated your brother for a year" and "We have been together for some time already" Other characters: "He managed to hide it for 6 months."
I am happy they left it as an open ending but I would say it is more happy in the sense that Lin Tuo choose to continue living. If perhaps in 10, 20, 30, or even 100 years and a cure is found for ALS, perhaps we might think back to this drama and continue our own ending for this drama. Because unlike real life, these characters are locked in time within this drama. Who is to say the future won't allow us to hope for a happy ending for this drama.
He is on ventilation, but he is still alive. Usually towards that stage, ALS patient decides if they want to be on ventilation to continue living or just stop moving forward. It seems like Lin Tuo made the decision to continue living.
No wonder Li Landi said it took her a long time to be able to come out of the AZQ character (and so easy for her to get into the role again during the stage performance) and why Lin Yi said he hesitated to contact LLD for some time after filming because he was afraid speaking to her would make her cry (by the way, they have been friends since they were 16-17 years old and are under the same company so for this to happen, this drama must had a really big impact on them).
Episode 22: Love how they are exploring the ALS community (everyone having different backgrounds and at different stages of life) and trying to do data collection in order to even be able to start testing medications (AZQ putting her college major into use heh).
"If there is no hope, we will create hope."
"If one year is not enough, then ten years, if ten years are not enough, then fifty years. As long as there is someone working towards it, perhaps ALS will one day find a cure. The things we are doing now might not save /our/ lives, but one day, it can save a lot of people."
Uncle Guo... he really was the center of the small ALS community they had.
Dong Dong's birthday wish... I am crying again. And gasp!!! Actual good news because turns out Dong Dong has another type of condition (that can actually be treated) but because they never collected his entire medical profile such as testing his genetics, it was missed out and labeled as ALS. Usually ALS doesn't appear in someone so young so it makes sense. Everyone working together to get enough donations to help Dong Dong... my heart
I watched the episodes but these are like advanced episodes on the platform. So it depends on what platform you are watching and if they released episode 21 already.
Voluntary Stopping of Eating and Drinking (starting in episode 20) and Suicide Attempt
He kind of is by second half of episode 21 when the senior got him an eye remote control device for a laptop and he realized he can still actually do work. AZQ also offered him suggestions and he realized that there are things he can actually still do.
Everybody needs to see this comment to really understand her character and role in here. Her character brings…
Yeah, and her character is meant to also serve as a comic relief, so she is meant to be more out there to give breaks in between the drama angst. Her personality is explained through her upbringing and probably feeling the need to fight/"talk loudly" to get her point across (because no one was listening to her and constant fighting in her family). In episode 21, we even found out that she paid for her own tuition/school cost since she was 16 years old because her parents didn't care at all. She also serves as a good foil for CGP because there are later scenes where CGP was impulsive about something and HXD managed to calm him down and make him see LT's POV.
I think all the characters have their pros and cons, HXD's "con" is just more obvious because her action/speech is more out there.
Episode 21: The acting in this episode omg... also trigger warnings (under spoiler), please take care while watching the first half of episode. Second half we back to heart-warming.
Not sure of the discussion portion.

Dong Dong's mom with Lin Tuo's mom
AZQ with Yi Lan's ex-fiancé
AZQ's dad with Lin Tuo's dad
Their conversations are not just for each other, but also for the viewers.
The Yi Lan ballet scene... back to crying. Really got to praise the scriptwriter, the dialogues are so gentle and heartwarming.
