I forgot if the 3rd ML is Cui Lang or some other guy, but from what I have read with the snippets, 3rd ML's love interest married 2nd ML at the end for political reasons. 3rd ML then went and "live with" FL aka take care of her but this is left more ambiguous whether it is love or mainly just to support her since ML is gone and FL turned down 2nd ML's invitation to let him take care of her.

Jiang Ci gets stabbed, poisoned, etc. Just don't expect romance to come right away because it won't for awhile. Also, FL and 2nd ML actually had a thing first before FL and ML develops. It is slow burn but the development of the characters is amazing.
AHHHHH, we finally got the official trailer (though still no official announcement of air date). Love it!!! I have read snippets of this novel here and there and it has been said the script (also adapted by the novel writer) is great too so I can't wait.

I don't know why they think they will get to air in September then if they still haven't gotten the distribution license because who is to say they will get it by September... fans are already not happy with the promo tactic aka not releasing interesting cuts on Douyin and instead these BTS of scenes we know nothing about from 100 different angles. They even posted to fans asking what scene they wanted to see the most and for those who didn't read the novel to begin with or didn't buy the script to read, they were flabbergasted. 💀

This drama has 8 cases in total, so they are essentially dropping 1 trailer per case as promo/get people interested to make sure they tune in later on. They are dropping 1 trailer a month so there should be trailers going all the way to January 2025. And depending on how fast post-production/distribution licensing is, it might be able to air around then.
Tons of rumors saying this drama will air in September but no news of distribution license and no promotion at this time... also tons of theories on why this is happening such as the production company having another drama they prioritize more to air. But who knows what is truly happening, let's just hope it airs at this point even if it is just them dropping the drama with no promo.

Based on their talks, Qin Wan and Yan Chi are more serious characters since they got baggage while Yan Li and Yue Ning are more extroverted/fun characters. Yan Chi and Yan Li are also confirmed to be brothers.
Li Landi said Qin Wan's character is already pretty knowledgeable from the beginning with her medical and forensic skills so her character development is more on the emotion side with letting down her guard/allowing herself to smile more as she gains a lover (Yan Chi) and friends.
Ao Rui Peng said Yan Chi is a pretty serious character too and would test Qin Wan in the beginning to sus her out before eventually trusting her and later falling for her.
