They already changed quite a lot and this drama is airing on CCTV so more likely to be a happy ending.
I like how Mujia's and Tian Rong's family backgrounds shaped the way they are and careers they ended up having.

Real estate though, it is perfect for her. Tian Rong is good at socializing and building relationships. Her breakup with Fan helped lit her motivation to actually focus on her career.

Having them in dramas kind of guaranteed views (but it doesn't mean the quality of the dramas are good) since they/production know they can get away with mediocre production/acting since fans will boost the drama anyway.

It makes sense for his age but I didn't think the drama had the guts to state it outright.
