One thing I really like about this drama is that both pair YQ x YT and CF x QK said alright we are out of here. One thing about xianxia in general is that these royal characters tend to stick around for their realms for the "greater purpose" while their partners suffer by their side from bullying/harassment, etc. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you can't protect your partner as a godly being meant to be the king but still want to be a king despite that, then let your partner go. I am glad they went for the route that both ML and 2nd ML decided that it is just not worth it to stay around if these realms aren't going to treat their FLs right.

Some interesting background info of them: They actually met back in 2016-2017 for the casting for "My Huckleberry Friends". LLD became the female lead (Yu Zhou Zhou) while CXX applied for the role of Chen An (first love of Yu Zhou Zhou) but unfortunately he didn't get the role. LLD mentioned she actually still has a picture of him from back then in her phone all these years and forgot about it until CXX brought it up that they met back then. They got the opportunity to work again for "Guardians of the Lands" (the BL drama not aired yet but filmed before TSL) where this time, LLD played CXX's first love that got away LOL. And now this drama where both are the main leads.

Yup! People waited so long for these scenes since this CP is slow burn so they were waiting around to get all those sweet moments before going into the angst route. They are still really sweet but those scenes really added more to it. Why bother filming the scenes just to not air them with full exposure to the current audience.

Yeah, there was no way they could had removed the consummation kiss fully since that was important to the plot moving forward (symbolic of their relationship development to the next level) and the sword dance is needed too since that relates to their future fight. They can get away with those smaller scenes since plot-wise they can do without them BUT they have been pushing these scenes for so long since the beginning of the drama to get fans hooked and tuned in.

Yup, this drama is doing so good too for a drama with no liuliangs so why push it and make fans upset. Even worse if they try to money grab later with those scenes when these scenes shouldn't be "benefits". Regular viewers aren't going to go out of their way either to find these scenes so it is not fair for regular viewers to not get the full experience but also potentially to the fans who have to pay for these scenes.

2 cheek kisses, 1 nose to nose, mahjong scene, part of the back hug scene, and part of the consummation kiss was also cut. Btw, it was mentioned that the consummation kiss took 2 hours to film to get all the angles so it is sad that they are just cutting it. C-netizens are also saying that Youku plans to hold back these scenes to later release "special episodes" to get people to paid for them to get these scenes. 💀

I don't know if YQ will sacrifice himself again here since so much has changed. In the novel, YT's one true love is La Mu and YQ was more of a substitute for La Mu. I think YT later came to love YQ but she couldn't trust him in the realm fights. While the YT now in this drama, I feel like she can trust YQ and won't let YQ sacrifice himself again for the world.

Yup! Also the magic spell/motion YQ taught YT in this episode today, I am sure there is going to be a call back to this moment because there was a scene of YT and YQ using the same spell to fight each other.

Okay so there are some speculations of how the plot will proceed onward from here from teaser clips people have been watching:

One speculation:
1) Youqin's cousin who likes him exposed Yetan's identity to the heavenly emperor
2) Heavenly emperor planned to lock up Yetan and throw her back to the human realm
3) Hu Sui ran to Youqin who was being punished/locked up to tell him what is happening
4) Youqin broke through the "prison"/got really injured in the process and basically told his father he quit being Empyrean Xuan Shang and that he will never turn on Yetan
5) Youqin takes Yetan away (probably to the human realm?)

- So this is where people don't know how the story will go anymore

6) Potentially YQ and YT escape to the human realm/beast realm(?) along with QK and CF and both pair(?) or just YQ and YT get officially married
7) Both heaven and void realms pissed off and want to kill the princesses (exposed as twin flowers)
8) You got the kings choking the princesses scene
9) QK sacrificed herself
10) Guixu opened up at the same time (?)
11) YQ tried to close Guixu aka potentially sacrifice himself but YT didn't let him and let herself go in and explode(?)
12) YQ fainted here and there is some theory that heavenly emperor wiped out his memory during this time so he doesn't remember YT anymore
13) YT lives/revives(?) and now is part of void realm
14) Ghost scene of QK bidding farewell to YT and CF crying on the floor
15) YT decide to go to the heaven realm and fight/get revenge
16) YQ don't remember her at this point so they fight but the fighting reminds him of something (his past with YT where he did the sword dance with her)
17) YQ probably remembers again and there are scenes of them hugging/crying/looking at fireworks (YQ in his white outfit and YT still in her void outfit)
18) No idea after this

Reminder this is just speculation from teasers we have seen so far and people trying to put together a timeline.

Edit: Man Man apparently also dies(?) at some point which further YT's path for revenge

Let's hope, some people are convinced it might be an open ending too because LLD in an interview said it can be HE or BE depending how people look at it.

People really forced a happy ending. 🤣 Good for us. There are some series where I like BE but this won't be one of those dramas.

Yup! She was conflicted BECAUSE she saw these shards as individual people but she also didn't want YQ to go back to his old position with expectation to always sacrifice himself for the great good. She wanted better for all of them.

Fun fact about Qing Heng in the novel:

The heaven realm didn't designate that Youqin had to be the one to marry. Like the void realm, they were just candidates. Meaning Qing Heng was also a candidate to marry Yetan. In the novel based on the spoilers I read, Qing Heng actually had a crush/liked Yetan too.

Yes! They broke a lot of the typical xianxia tropes and you don't feel like you need to scream at the characters to talk to each other just so they can have 10+ extra episodes of angst. Even when Yetan didn't tell the 3 shards right away the truth, the not speaking part then was justified in that moment because how can you tell these 3 shards with their own personalities and dreams that they are just shards and were meant to revive someone else? That angst and hesitation made sense and wasn't forced just to add in extra episodes.
