LOL usually within a week if they are pulling something like that, but let's see. They had a clip of YQ waiting at the stone house (Lamu's stone house) and ran outside to hug YT sooooo, it seems like they did /film/ something. Question is if they will use the footage or not. They cut out quite a lot of scenes already so they either are throwing them all out or saving everything for special/additional/add-on episodes to get more $$$.

Sure I can understand her but it doesn't mean I sympathize with her, I also think she has been lowkey setting this up once she found YT and QK. I don't truly believe she did have let them live in peace without letting them know the truth. She claimed YT and QK were part of her clan/family, yet she is the only who lend a hand in destroying the only two left that the clan so desperately tried to protect. At the end of the day, the only person she managed to hurt/destroy was YT (and QK), not anyone else.
Any sympathy I had for Hu Sui/Su Kui would be gone by episode 39 (my current comment is about the teaser clips I saw for episode 39 but also the build up). I can understand her wanting revenge for her people, but she is basically using YT to take that revenge for her when YT and QK as flowers basically perished back then and got reincarnated as humans thousands of years later (HS/SK was basically the only survivor who lived through that tragedy). They too are victims but now have their own lives.
I don't think it is a coincidence that HS/SK told QK about one flower dying = another loses power. She knows QK would do it for YT and YT would be the one to take revenge (because QK is not as likely to go seek revenge). In addition, YT's beef with void king and heavenly emperor is more about QK, not about the Dongqiu clan. YT is willing to kill for QK but also willing to stop for QK because she herself is not happy and she knows QK won't want her to go down that path.
Her only promise to HS/SK was to get the lamp back for her to hopefully revive her family. But the previous emperor destroyed that already. YT doesn't owe anything to HS/SK. If HS/SK wanted revenge that badly, she could had go seek out the heavenly emperor who now has no cultivation and go kill him directly, but no, she wanted the whole world to go down. She stabbed YT and blamed her for not killing the heavenly emperor but even if YT killed the emperor, HS/SK would probably still want all the realms destroyed since their ancestors all had a hand in destroying her clan. Not to mention the ancestors involved in destroying her clan are pretty much all gone by now so all she is doing is seeking revenge on their descendants.
It is even worse that she dragged YT into opening up Guxui again because YT didn't want that, she didn't want to be the chaos that everyone decided she was since birth.
I have been lowkey side-eyeing her when Man Man passed away and she told YT that "Man Man is gone but I am here." How are you going to be mad at the one person who has been supportive of you all this time? She really treated YT as a tool for her revenge.

Xianxia in general just repeats the same trope over and trope again since the basis of it is: 1) Good VS Evil, 2) Perhaps Good is not actually Good and Evil is not actually Evil 3) Fights between deities 4) Humans are surprising candidates who has the power to overtake the gods 5) Mortal arc 6) Memory loss 7) Love facing obstacles due to being on different sides 8) Big boss at the end (LOL)
Basically rinse and repeat and that's why xianxia has been stagnant for years. I personally haven't watched any xianxia dramas for years since they are pretty much all the same. TSL got me hooked again though. YQ is basically the best ML ever and showed that a xianxia ML can actually protect their FL *side eye Ye Hua*. YT is such a breath of fresh air since they tend to make xianxia FL extra foolish in the beginning so they can show them being powerful later on and "matured"/"turn dark".
