I tried giving LBFAD a try 2 times last year and couldn't get into it at all. I found it very outdated in terms of the characterizations of both characters. Also didn't help that I watched it after "Love Like the Galaxy" so there was a big difference with the general acting, emotional intensity, and etc.

Tried giving it a chance again after and still couldn't get into it. Tried watching clips of their "sweet moments" and still did nothing for me. I need to like the individual characters first before buying into their relationships and I couldn't connect with the characters at all.

Yeah, this is just rumors but he is known to have supposedly dated two of them, one from FIL and one from "The Best of Times". There was this interview of when FIL was airing/about to air and he had to promote it with the FL and lmaooo, you can tell they weren't feeling it (probably broke up by then). It was said he gets really immersed in acting/becomes the character so it isn't surprising to people that he ends up dating his co-stars sometimes. For example, he got really sick after he filmed "Good Bye, My Princess" and it took him about 6 months to get out of that role.

I don't really have a preference! I think a modern drama would be nice but a historical one would be great too. As long as their characters have depth!

Me, C-fans definitely know how to ship lmao, they can dig up anything and make connections about everything. It doesn't help that CXX and LLD have natural chemistry and they aren't even trying to "fry CP" but their interactions/banters are just so so so nice. Plus CXX isn't exactly making it hard to do so especially when compared to his previous promo with his previous dramas. The fans are hilarious too because they are saying they will ship even if they get married to other people because they can still divorce (mostly trolling but) lmaooo.

CXX and LLD having 3 CP names is hilarious because they got ppl shipping them in 3 different ways, their onscreen characters (YQ and YT), them irl (both single and ready to mingle), and then you have the fans who think LLD is/was dating ZXC and want CXX to successfully win her over (with some thinking he actually did recently). Their shipping forum on douban have like 30+ pages analyzing them already lmao.

That would make more sense! I feel like Youku would have the right to sue Tencent if that was the case unless Tencent really ended up getting copyrights of this drama too. Waiting for whoever got the leaks to leak more at this point lol.

Right?? I watched a BTS video of the costume director's work on this and the clothes were AMAZING but I felt like I barely saw the full extent in the drama because of those bright lights.

Update: Youku adjusted the lighting of the episodes for TSL on Youku and the difference... now you can see all the details on their clothes. 💀 People thought the heavenly realm's clothes were plain but it was only because the lighting was so bright everything faded to white when heavenly realm's clothes had mixes of blue, pastel purple, different shades of white, grey, etc. There were tons of details on them like the beading.
