This one is more about why the murder happened aka the psychology of the human heart. It is pretty easy to guess the murderer for case 1 (due to only a few suspects) but I think the beauty of it is more of how our FL pays respect to the victim's body. Case 1 is also considered the simplest case of all 8 cases.
Case 2 has a lot more twists and turns, but the underlying theme is still about the evilness/hypocrisy of humans. Case 1 and 2 are also focused on women and their standings in a more historical standing.
So if you want a detective case where you can't guess the murderer straight up then this might not be it for you. I feel like the cases here are more about the victims as our FL is a coroner.

There is this one particular scene that shows the difference between Qin Wan and Yan Chi quite well in episode 7.
