Yes! I am very happy it got a lot of love and still is getting love. More and more people have been checking it out once it ended and are realizing it is a great drama and different from what they originally expected.

Director Li Hui Zhu seems to excel more with crime-related dramas so hopefully this being that type of genre would help. π Case-breaking genres rely heavily on the scriptwriter and their ability to adapt from the novel so the scriptwriter here will definitely have a heavier responsibility. I have seen people reading the original novel which is loooooong and they say the cases are interesting. It will just depend on how they adapt it for screen and if the pacing is done well.

People can't create multiple accounts on Douban to rate since in order to make an account there, you need proof of citizenship to register. Douban is still considered the top rating website the industry uses, and that people use to check if a drama is good.
Of course, the rating of a drama can be impacted by if someone in the drama has a big scandal or if people are not happy with the ending (high opening score but low ending score so there are still some dramas that are considered /good/ even with a low score due to the ending but those are few).
A lot of people think Filter deserves a higher score on Douban, but due to competition with other traffic actors/actresses, the score has been impacted but it shows how well-received this drama is to still be able to maintain 7+. And that people like this drama so much they are willing to create accounts on Douban just to rate it or go out of their way to rate it.
In addition, this was an original IP which didn't have a novel out before this drama aired. It had no build in audience except for the fans of the cast. For it to get as big as it did (and still gaining in popularity) is an achievement.

The bracelet has several updates as the story progresses. The main function at first is that her appearance "changed" based on light refractions. It means SCC (female lead) didn't physically change her appearance. But due to the refractions with light, in other people's eyes, her appearance becomes someone/something else. It is also why if someone touches her when say she is an alpaca, she did get exposed since the touch won't be fur but her human body. Her weight also stays the same so physically nothing changed. The bracelet also makes her "injury" disappear, but it is just the visual mark that seems to be gone, she is still injured.
The function of the bracelet gets more advanced as it updates. First it was just one avatar (the beauty), then it allows her to do 3D printing (become other people and objects), then 2D to 3D printing, etc.
It is implemented in the story since her transformations in each arc has to do with the update and when the bracelet updates, she becomes stuck in that transformation for a while which prolongs her interaction with TQ (male lead). She also uses the bracelet in various ways from pulling a prank, get back at someone, save people, etc.
The bracelet also ties to her journey with her insecurity about her looks (mainly due to people's comments about her appearance though some of it are misunderstandings) and her relying on it to solve problems. But it also allowed her to understand that the bracelet and these transformations aren't actually that great at the end of the day.
It doesn't seem like it is for this drama's promo. ARP seems to be going but LLD's side on Weibo clarified that it isn't for drama promo so it seems like she isn't going to the one on 4/15. π€

Yes, I think reincarnation stories can be great because of the soulmate concept that the soul recognizes the soul. But then when it is only one reincarnating with no memories and then other one hasn't reincarnated, it then goes into the "replacement trope" territory which I am iffy about. The writers have to write really well to show that it is not about the person clinging onto the memories but that the person loves the present person (even without the memories).
Funny info: It is likely that Tang Qi's name came from θε离ε₯ (Huang Tang Li Qi) which means preposterous/bizarre. His name seems to have dictated his fate that he did encounter all these wacky incidences with SCC. π

B either remains ignorant of this or finds out later and becomes hurt over it. People usually dislike that genre, and it is considered a tragedy because the love is no longer "pure" and there will always be trust issue for B.

Yup and that can be very common among Asian families. I remember back when I was young too, I had distant relatives that would compare me to my cousins saying I was prettier but one my cousins is paler so that is a plus for her over me. π They can be very blunt about comments about looks and don't understand how it can affect the one receiving the comment.

There was one BTS with the ambulance scene, but both had more interactions with LLD even during it (they didn't really show a BTS with just those two during the car scene, but they are friends). LLD ended up twisting her neck because she couldn't stop laughing with WHY which TJC teased her for.
