That's good to hear, only if online ratings and heat index increases☹️ I don't understand how come tang qi…
C-platforms in general have a lot of conflict of interest. They invest in different actors/actresses so want only certain ones to do super well & it also depends on if the actors/actresses' teams spend $$$. Then there is also the willingness of the production company/platforms to spend more $$$ to promote. Posts on Douyin doesn't always just "naturally" go viral, they are required to be "pushed" and that usually requires $.
I get as fans that people want their favs to do well stat wise, but it is better not to be too stuck on numbers with the C-industry because a lot of these numbers are either false or inflated. If a drama is good, the reviews will reflect that, even large numbers of antis can't change the perception that a good drama is bad if the drama is actually good.
Just wanna mention that this drama is getting a lot of positive feedback on the C-side. I am seeing tons of positive posts on Xiao Hong Shu, people excited for the next episodes, and people rewatching episodes to analyze scenes.
A lot of the praises are about this drama being women friendly and being relatable. I saw a clip of the SCC in elevator scene for her interview getting close to 20K likes the last time I checked, and the comments are all giggling about how they have the same outfit, they dress like her, and why did they take their entire self and put it in the drama LOL.
Essentially, Filter's first day heat index should actually be higher, but Tencent swallowed some of the heat to get fans to pay more for subscriptions, so fans are annoyed. These platforms do this a lot with dramas that aren't S+ or with actors/actresses who they think they can get away with in terms of the fanbase fighting back (their end goal is to make more $$$). People are noticing it and complaining about it though so let's see if Tencent backs off.
Is there eng sub link to yesterday whole promo event n livestream?
None that I have seen so far. Their international fans would have to sub it and more likely TJC's fans (maybe on Twitter?) since LLD doesn't have that many active international English-speaking fans that would be subbing anything.
The bgm? Speaking of it, is it normal in cdrama to have another drama bgm?
Not just that haha, SQL's bedroom has the stuffed fur ball (Xiang Liu's bird or something) and in the upcoming preview, you can see Lin Yuan wearing a Xiang Liu merch shirt. Since this drama is also written by Tong Hua and acted by TJC, they are definitely throwing in some Xiang Liu easter eggs to honor him. In their drama warp up video a long time ago, there was a scene preview of SCC, SQL, and LY singing Xiang Liu's theme song or something, so it seems like it is canon in this drama that those three are Xiang Liu fangirls.
He was definitely rude, but I don't think he was commenting that she isn't good looking. He was referring to her…
Yup, you are right.
He was not referring to her actual appearance. It was about her make-up (which then led to him checking on his own brand to make sure something like that won't happen to his products) and his perception of her behavior (bullying him, slacking off at work, etc.) that contributed to his negative impression of her.
I like SCC. She is willing to sacrifice for the sake of others and works hard. Im glad she shared her bracelet…
Tbh I don't remember his roles from other dramas so I don't know how his voice sounds like, but if he is getting dubbed, it is either he doesn't have the time to dub himself or his acting voice isn't the best and requires dubbing.

Yes, I like how they are setting up the two besties as a potential couple! They are so different but also very kind deep down at the end of the day (both taking the turtles).
Haha, I think he would have been shocked at first because in his memory, she was someone who bullied him. So, it won't have aligned with him that SCC is someone who did risk her life to save a child because it meant he was wrong about her all along (and he was).
When you already have an impression of someone, you will tend to see more things that reinforce your view of that person. For example, TQ mainly end up "seeing" the bad side of SCC: her being a bully, her not caring to dress up/smelling like meat for work, doesn't seem to have good work ethics as she kept on disappearing at work/slacking off. All of these "signs" help him determine that SCC is not a good person.
On the other hand, SM was more of a blank slate for him. His first impression is that she is brave and saved someone, was kind enough to agree to be a model, bold enough to school him and his co-workers regarding their make-up brand, etc. All of this added on to seeing that SM is a good person.
I think he would have fallen for anyone (that he doesn't know) at that moment /except/ for SCC because he would have to first erase his prior negative impression of her. But as he slowly gets to know her, he would have fallen for her.
Aw, I adore SCC as a character. I love how she embraces the fact that she is jealous of ppl liking SM more (when they are the same person), but she is also like whatever, I will just work harder.
I can't even blame her co-workers for being upset at her because from their POV, SCC got in as an intern via connection and then seems to be slacking off by disappearing (as she needed to transform into SM). If I was her co-worker, I did be annoyed too at having to contact her constantly and doing her job when she should be around. But with time, I am sure they will come to adore SCC too as she shows her work ethics. ❤️
TQ... I feel bad for TQ LMAO. From his POV, he suddenly met his school bully again and is being ignored by his crush/"one-night stand". And I am sure as he meets with more of these transformations, it will probably freak him out and confuse him more so he will not be having a good time anytime soon.
I was pretty touched by the things she did for her bff like putting TQ on the blacklist. The only thing she might…
Babygirl is kind of a fool too and easy to scam (going by that turtle incident) so I can tell she was just hoping to cheer up SCC via TQ since she knows how much it affected SCC. 😂
Okay so I caught up, his first love heartbeat is based on SCC/SM saving the kid and at the time, all he saw was her back and he already kind of fell for her. When she turned around, he didn't see her face right away, but then he saw her face with the injury (that she got from saving the kid). Her saying she was okay (with the injury) then made him fall for her more. But now he does know her face so he would of course love the face behind the action too. So him being able to draw her now along with the injury (badge of honor) makes sense because he has now associated that face with the person who saved the kid and who is kind + schooled him/co-workers on their views about make-up. I am sure SM being extra beautiful helped but I think TQ would have fallen for the person who saved the kid regardless of how their face looked like. It just so happened that SM's face fits the beauty standard, so SCC misunderstand that TQ only cares about SM's looks.
Another funny tidbit because I don't think the subtitles explained the joke LOL:
SCC saved TQ's name on her phone(s) as 二官 (Er Guan/2 facial features) in episode 3.
This is a play on word that a person typically has 五官 (Wu Guan/5 facial features = nose, eyes, lips, tongue, and ears).
But because SCC thinks TQ is kind of an ass right now with a bad 三观 (San Guan/three views aka 1) one's worldview, 2) one's values, and 3) one's philosophy in life), she basically subtracted that from him (5-3 = 2) so all he is left with is 二官 (2 facial features). 😂😂😂
Lin Yuan is such a supportive and loving friend LOL. No wonder the relationship chart basically said they share a brain cell together. I love how she follows along with SCC's actions like kicking the scale away after SCC did it, cannibalizing TQ (not literally), putting TQ on the blacklist, etc. 😭
