There has been analysis on XHS that TQ is lowkey obsessive (someone who read the script also said he is surprising kind of green tea later on so he definitely isn't as simple/obvious as he seems) and that might get more obvious as time goes by. He is too observant and was able to counter all the lies Lin Yuan told him previously and he definitely noticed some things already, but it doesn't make logical sense to him.
The truth is that TQ doesn't /know/ SM that well. He doesn't know anything about her family, nothing about her friendships, nothing about her career. He knows she is brave and nice but that is really it. They barely had more than 3 full conversations if you think about it. A typical person also won't jump into the river to chase after a crush either (and he has only known her for some weeks at this point). They did try to call someone for help instead. He is relentless and if SM was just some random woman, TQ could actually come across as pretty scary.
It is ironic because he is almost acting like SCC when they were back in school. That relentless pursue in which he didn't know (and thought it was bullying) and SM/SCC doesn't want currently.
Promo for this drama is still terrible btw. Bilibili unfortunately wasn't given the rights for Filter (side-eye at Tencent) so editors at this time can't really make edits for this drama on there without risk of them being taken down if they get a lot of views. Maybe that will change later but it currently limits the spread of this drama from getting out of the fan circle. Xiao Hong Shu seems to be the main platform right now fans are focusing on since they can post edits there.
I didn't engage in the LYF fandom, but I guess the fans of the male actors from that hate TJC lmao. Their fans have been going on Douban and rating this drama one star since day 1 (you can check their accounts and see them rated their favs' dramas as 5 stars). 😂 Pettyyyyy. Alpaca - I originally thought it was because SM "died" so SCC felt bad and was trying to comfort TQ. Based on the preview clips, it looked like she was trying to destroy evidence of SM that TQ kept LOL (but maybe also to comfort him).
Quen Sheng Tang - I have a theory that maybe the bracelet will be updated again, and this time SCC can clone herself and create other characters (so she and the other characters can exist at the same time). I am thinking QST is used as a fake boyfriend because the relationship chart says TQ hated him. QST doesn't appear until way later and I am assuming by then, TQ's and SCC's relationships would develop further on TQ's part so maybe QST might end up being almost like a love rival haha.

The traditional modern idol romance drama route would be FL having a conflict with a female co-worker and the co-worker would be ruined/fired due to doing something bad to FL despite the co-worker having way more work experience.
The co-worker messed up here, but it is great that SCC also acknowledges that the plan the co-worker made was more polished at the end of the day and co-worker didn't really need to look at her plan because she (co-worker) would have achieved the result anyway with her work experience. It is just so nice to see??? That a romance drama isn't busy trying to pit everyone against the FL to make you feel bad for her/hate everyone else and end up dumbing down the supporting characters when FL is the actual rookie compared to her co-workers.

SCC was dressed as Xiaoqing (green snake), SM dressed as Bai Suzhen (white snake), and TQ as Xu Xian (a normal man). The white snake (disguised as a woman) and man fell in love and got married but the man freaked out when he found out the white snake was a snake and died from shock. White snake restored him back to life, but man was still afraid of her and ended up falling for a trap that got white snake locked up. Green snake swore to get revenge. It is funny because it parallels to their current relationship and also highkey foreshadows the upcoming episode.

Maybe SCC transformed into Fang Jin (aka an actual irl person) to help her sister and real!Fang Jin deal with the divorce from the violent man especially since there is a clip of SCC/Fang Jin stomping on a man.

The bracelet can cover up pimples/injury to the face, but they still exist in reality (so in a way, the person would still have to put in the work to actually have better skin irl).
There is this preview clip showing 2 SCCs too so I wonder if in the future, the bracelet might get another upgrade in which she can even clone herself or create a whole another person that can exist when she is still herself.

Yup, this is a story of growth for both of our main characters but deep down, they both have sincere and kind hearts.
I love that both are flawed and we see them struggling with society/other people. We are not coming into characters who are already "perfect" because irl, people in their 20s-30s and even beyond are growing every day. We experience new encounters that make us question our own set values and what we had known before. It has been a while since I have seen an adult romcom with a heart for its characters.
