SCC looks so cute with that hair bun on her head. A whole cutie. Also, very impressed that the actresses playing SM/FJ who are actually SCC have been really consistent with keeping the SCC quirks that Li Landi had. The skipping while singing, the animated hand movements, the way of speaking, etc. Even when it is a different face, I can still totally see SCC.

I love how they hinted it all the way back with the turtle, then confirmed it with the alpaca, and then expanded on it with the goose. It is just such a good character build up.

For sure! It is just so easy in idol romance drama to have the male characters taking over and helping the female characters in their career lives. But in this drama, they do their own jobs.

I agree. This is not a typical idol drama that serves you everything on a plate. These characters are constantly in motion and evolving and I am someone who really likes character-focus drama and analyzing them, so it is wonderful for me to analyze their actions. But I am glad that there are like-minded people who are able to appreciate this drama because it is a rarity in C-drama land to have a romance romcom at this level.

AGAIN, I love SCC and TQ as a pair. They are literally dumb and dumber (affectionate). I saw comments on XHS cracking up that they might still have unresolved misunderstandings when they get married and have kids because they share one-brain cell. 😭

SM's "corpse" still kind of fresh (haven't even been a week) and TQ already in love again. 😂😂😂

I really enjoyed episode 9 because it feels like the characters are moving to the next phase of their lives + it expands on their career lives.

TQ is starting to see SCC in a new light and feels that she is changing from what he thought she was like in school + their common views on the make-up products. GY gains a new admiration for LY due to her passion for her career as a comic artist. GY's knowledge of animals continues to be expanded + helps him with his client. Then we have SQL with her work as a divorce lawyer and needing SCC's help for it.

This episode really gives time for us to get to know them as characters who value their careers too and they are not busy all day long trying to romance each other up. I appreciate it so much because a lot of these genre of dramas barely go into their work besides knowing what their job titles are.

It does! Tbh a lot of it are misunderstandings that will be explained as the drama goes on (for example, SCC thought ppl were talking about her apperance in certain scenes but it was't really about her looks, but more about their perception of her behaviors). In addition, the characters self-reflect a lot on beauty, what it means to be beautiful, and why society is so focused on outer beauty versus different kinds of beauty stemming from bravery, kindness, etc. It is more of a growth story and is also pushing the viewers to question their ideas of beauty and biases too.

He saw her talking to other students and it seemed like she was berating/scolding them. There are more flashbacks in later episodes that showed why he kept on thinking she was a school bully.

SM: SCC didn't intend to ever transform into SM again after those accidental transformations. She only became SM because when she got the job, she heard her co-workers saying they would lose their jobs if TQ couldn't find SM to become the model. In addition, she knows the person who gave her the make-up/book is from that company so she didn't want them to possibly lose their job either. These are also not assumptions, it was shown in the dialogues and her internal thoughts.

Alpaca: Meant to destroy evidence but it ended up working as grief therapy for TQ.

Fan Jin: Victim of domestic abuse and in a coma who SCC is helping to win her case.

All of these "big" transformations ended up helping others.

I agree. I feel that part of his feelings he had for her transformations stemmed from admiration at first. There is love but at the same time, he really didn't know much about SM. Alpaca allowed SCC to know about him more. Fan Jin will probably be the one who opened him up even more emotionally. I feel like when it is time for SCC as SCC, it will progress a lot physically (based on those MV/teasers we saw where he seemed pretty active with the intimacy).

He thought SCC was a whole bully so of course he isn't going to out of his way to clear up anything nor try to be nice to her. No one would be friendly to their own bully.

TQ definitely jumps into assumptions about certain things too and his intention might not be negative but his words at times can be taken wrongly for sure, But this is a drama about growth and understanding for all these characters. His character is a lot more interesting and well-rounded than the typical MLs that just fall for FLs right away.

Yup. I thought the flashbacks would make it obvious that this is one of the central themes of the drama but I guess not. 😅

Amazing!!! It is great the heat is still rising because usually by day 3-4, the heat is almost set in stone and it gets harder to raise it since the first few days are when all the promo/VIP packages get taken in mass. Plus this drama is still not getting any full-out promo so it is relying on being shared through word of mouth.
