Not sure if anyone shared this Douyin post here yet, but fans previously asked them to recreate this funny meme and they did it: https://v.douyin.com/i5hXmt3H/
The scriptwriter for TJC's "Under the Skin" had access to seeing the entirety of this drama: https://t.co/eYriqmTsp0
He said he already watched it twice and that the first half is hilarious, and the second half is super sweet. Especially the part with SCC and TQ revisiting their school days. 👀
On a more serious note, I appreciate how they are tackling the domestic abuse case. The main people involved with helping the real Fan Jin are pretty much all women; SQL who is her lawyer, SCC who transformed into her to stop the patent from being sold/collected evidence, LY who also helped with collecting evidence, and of course the real Fan Jin herself for reaching out for help in the first place with SQL. Then the final rescue is the actual cops (because idol dramas love to pretend cops don't exist in China in order for the MLs to play the hero lol).
As much as this drama has comedy, it is still very rooted in logical decision making. It is also very mindful of what the female audience actually want to see these days. SCC is honestly a very refreshing FL in many ways especially in C-dramas that love to sell "big female lead" but will absolutely dumb down or destroy the FL character once the romance starts in order to uplift the ML. I cannot even begin to list out all the dramas I have seen where the FL characters get absolutely dragged by viewers for "hurting/torturing" ML for oh, being upset about a situation or going against something he planned. Because how dare the FL not appreciate the ML enough when the ML loves her so much! The FL tends to just become a tool for the viewers to self-insert to love the ML/actor playing the ML. But back to my point, I just really appreciate when dramas expand on the FL roles beyond her romance because it makes her into a character who can stand alone even without the romance aspect. Because at the end of the day, a woman's life is not dictated by her romance.
Ironic that SCC and TQ are able to interact with each other as their realest selves at the moment when SCC has the filters on. The bracelet filters remove the filters they had on each other slowly and surely.
TQ falling for these transformations and then seemingly starting to forget the previous ones as SCC switches to a new one got me giggling because he truly is chasing after SCC's soul. 😂 It really is kind of romantic.
LOL, it seems like because real Fan Jin woke up, SCC had to become a love rival in order to get TQ off of real!FJ's back. There is this preview scene of them battling it out with tennis.
No idea since it is an original script. The filters are a major part of this drama and based on some of the pictures I have seen, SCC has 4 "big" transformations (SM, alpaca, FJ, and then QST) and smaller ones here and there that will continue.

😭😭😭
I love that his character is the physically weaker one while SCC is a sports star with no problem carrying around grown men.
