He has been quite suspicious, unless someone else comes up as even more dangerously sneaky, he's topping the list...I…
I sort of hope it wasn’t from the beginning because if it was that little bonding and drinking together around the table scene in the flashback was all a lie 😅😅
From the sword king’s place. Possibly at hidden space of SK. Remember Sancai was a spy plant at SK’s side…
But yes, I guess all I mean is that the writing system wouldn’t be hard to teach or learn for people as brilliant as Sword King for communication with him.

I thought the implication was the falcon gang had been operating for years (maybe even relating to that falcon whistle of Yan’s kidnapped sister) so that they were not dropped into the story at the same time period? maybe I misread it though… I thought Mr Mask has been in the story since before the Crazy Yan battle back then with him saying he painstakingly planted Sword King yet he was removed so easily.
Ep.28: the conversation between the two CY's is strange. I don't know how the director filmed this. They're not…
I feel like probably intentional actually myself. The poster already made me think yin/yang symbol and then there was that little bit about good and evil coexisting happily a few eps back because martial arts are true neutral, it all just depends on the mind that uses them. I took it as a deliberate framing that they face in different directions yet still can coexist. (But I could be thinking of a different scene.) 😅

Simplified and Traditional Chinese aren’t two separate languages, they’re just the same letters written with more/less brush strokes. In 15 years someone like Sword King could easily learn to read it if taught, suspect he’d be fluent in Northern Watelander dialect-writing too.
Many Cdramas do have smart and capable female characters though
Agree, and she does it because she's just that self-possessed and amazing herself, not because she needs to be married to someone less strong than she is to make her look good. Separately or together in their marriage, they both shine. Would love to see more FL like her too.
I don't want to spoil it for you, so all I will say is that up till 18 that was also my feeling watching, and…
Ahh, in this case I cannot help you. I read it as that scene where XQS is floating in the water and then wakes up was XQS waking up properly, and that he and XMM are now sharing a body that currently shares memories, but that XMM's memories are disappearing more and more from, so that XQS 's original soul is regaining consciousness after being suppressed by the system/XMM, but that his soul was always subconsciously there impacting the emotions XMM was feeling.
That initially, XMM was maybe roleplaying some emotions out of a desire to live out his dreams of being a martial arts hero, as well as transferring some emotions (like the grief/disbelief/tears not actually being because someone's dead, but because he thought he could change that character's ending) but that as XQS' soul wakes more and more and remembers more, the emotions are more and more grounded in actually belonging to the present reality he's in. (And as the system says, eventually XMM will potentially cease to exist at all, and it will only be XQS in his body, remembering nothing of the fact that he's technically part of a book.)
Okay let me just say this.. This drama is great but I just can't connect with it at all even with all the emotions…
I don't want to spoil it for you, so all I will say is that up till 18 that was also my feeling watching, and post 18 I am so invested that I'd probably pay to watch if I didn't have a subscription already. And they explain it in a way that for me makes the earlier stuff make sense in hindsight in a way it maybe didn't watching it at the time. If you're pre-ep 18, then tl;dr is you're not alone, but (for me) it gets better. If you're ep19+ and still feeling this way, then I maybe can't help so much with it 😅😅
At this point, he can't not be on a rampage because what exactly has he done with his life if all of his life…
Yup, but by the sound of it, rather than 'being executed' a bunch of Northern Wastelanders dressed up in his Sect's clothes and started fighting the other sects and killed a ton as well as murdering LSF's sect, and then Xiao and the guys they fought against them thinking his sect started it, while trying to save the injured after, so neither side can truly be blamed in that case. But neither side is gonna be very happy about this fact I can bet.
You have a very kind and warm heart XD He had my sympathy till like Ep21-22-ish but he lost it when he sold his sister for a book he never bothers learning moves from or practicing anyway. 🤣🤣
At this point, he can't not be on a rampage because what exactly has he done with his life if all of his life…
i'd say 100% chance he didn't kill him, that was the masked guy going in I thought bc he worked out that Deng deduced his identity was the Water Lord? This one, he's clearly being framed for.
(The rampage wasn't the slaughter of Deng's sect, but the kneeling on the guy and the breaking his arm and torturing him for info + the ongoing murders of that spy/Xiao sect/Xiao butler, like he can't afford to back down on the revenge rampage he's on cuz he doesn't want to be wrong.)
There's a certain kind of poison that comes with jealousy and blaming others for your own life being not what you want it to be that results in you becoming worse and worse as a human though, in fairness. Like, he is spiraling downwards because little by little he inches down that slope till finally he's running down it, as opposed to never having those values.
It’s a combed back, signifying more mature, older and more experience😅.
Don't worry, if it's the one with zero fringe at all (that he wore on the flying horse), it generally only lasts one scene and then he's back to his usual self :D
LSF talks a lot about how his clan was killed but he did worse to other sects. In fact I am getting very tired…
I can kinda feel for him tho-- based on his POV we just saw, he went to sleep thinking Xiao Senior said "we'll let you have some time to think about it" and woke up to find the village being slaughtered and the sects murdering, from his POV sects lied and sneak attacked while pretending to be noble. He was a kid at the time who saw his mom get run through by a Xiao disciple (based on the blue-ish robes), and when he went to his Tang family to help him get revenge they betrayed him by chaining him up and hurting him as well. We saw him on the streets; there, the regular people of society clearly weren't nice to him either. By the time he got saved by LCZ his morals were so non-existent that he really doesn't care if he's chopping wood or committing murderer, there's no moral line in him.
He's too mean, but I do feel a tad sorry for him still. I think he is the type to go jump off a cliff once his revenge is done and revenge is all that's keeping him alive. I'd like it if he found something he actually wanted to live for, like Patriotism or something? Or a hobby? Or got himself a vegetable garden or a passion or growing orchids or painting fans or smth. (His extreme handsomeness definitely helps my sympathy for him, even if he's way too mean and I can't back him b/c he tortures people too much and takes too much delight in humiliating them.)
In that case maybe he died in that initial ambush he said he was the only survivor of and never lived at all.
