At this point, he can't not be on a rampage because what exactly has he done with his life if all of his life choices were furthering the goals of the people who wiped his sect out? He's got just as many reasons to cling to the idea of it being a lie by his enemies as Sixth Senior's dad does to not wanna accept the sects were wrong back then, poor guy, they were both wanting the other to be wrong so much in that convo.
But his methods are too cruel. I can't get behind someone who tortures & humiliates people and enjoys it, he is just a little bit too mean for me, though like everyone else I 100% agree he is also super handsome and way too much so to properly hate.
