As of now there’s still no bodies— the assumption is that XQS went to sword manor first, then back to the main mansion (where the monks died) second after failing to find his parents hence why the prince is there before him, and that upon seeing the token only his dad carried and that his dad would never have parted with except death he concluded that they were dead and that LSF killed them, but all is offscreen and as of ep24 they’ve not yet found the bodies, though the bad guys are saying they did die.

The beginning, we can only credit it to Dad holding the purse strings and (based on his own wardrobe choices) believing more in donations to the poor than funding extravagant and extensive changes of clothes, luckily XQS had his sword brothers + lots of bank notes from Mother even back then 🤣

My bet is age. We see in the flashbacks he looks 20 while XQS looks 6, so I'd imagine him being 15-odd years older would be why.

I want that team up too, I still feel like the ultimate team-up is gonna somehow be against the System though. Maybe some parallel fight between the invaders and XQS in that AI-generated plane paralleling each other where their victory will mirror his.

LCZ saved this erring and evil dude as a kid and has known him 15 years, during which point LSF helped LCZ establish the gang and is the only surviving member of the original 8 of the guys who built it together/did that painting together I think. His wife acts like she's LSF's mother, too. I'd imagine he basically sees him as a combo of one of his oldest allies + his kid.

poor guys are on a budget, they are saving all their own budget for rebuilding their buildings and have no rich allies/sword brothers to drop by and spontaneously gift them with amazing clothes, which I assume is what XQS owes his wardrobe to 😂

Absolutely nothing wedding related these two eps except *Xiyue volunteering for it to help out the family because she's just that nice and Yiren's moping drunk crying about how hard life is and how useless he is to his parents' graves. (Looks like the wedding will be tomorrow's eps maybe.)
