favourite parts of Ep24: -LSF & XQS in the masks being wayyy too charismatic with their mind games -The three-way epic fight scene -XQS demonstrating his innate powers of bullsh*tting (he's so charismatic lying to Sword King) -That the karmic queen beet-- I mean, that the master death beetle is dead -The cool blue-black hanfu (do I know how he managed to hide it under those servant robes? nope. Do I care? Also nope. I love that outfit, pls wear it more often, XQS 👏🏻👏🏻) -The fact that we have finally met 1 x competent elder in this show who I actually trust.
Also, "I owe you all an explination, I guess" < sayeth LCZ, proceeding not to give one. Love this man 🤣🤣🤣

yeah I only assumed himself as if it had been another member I am not sure why it would have affected their position as the main branch but I need to rewatch too 😂

When Tang asks him for the cure for XQS and he says if he hadn’t abandoned them she’d not be the main branch right now I think? And then they send the message to the prince via pigeon of where the cure is. (ep19 or 20 maybe?)

me too 🤬 He and XQS parallel each other in a way in that they both took tiny steps in opposite directions and then further steps were justified with “but having committed missing this far, my efforts would be a waste if I don’t continue on.” Only XQS started off basically with “you’re calling me big brother so I guess I’ll try and be a decent one” and Yiren started off with “well I guess I’ll just boot my tenants from their lease and ask for a bunch of money with no warning,” and kept going downhill from there. You can almost see his brain going— having humiliated myself by coming here, I can’t help those servants because then I won’t achieve anything. Having ignored the servants, how can I leave without getting a deal? Having agreed to sell my sister, how can I not keep going now? He’s just on a very rapidly descending path downhill this guy and doesn’t seem to see that he is not gonna get anywhere he wants in life following this road while harming the exact people he claims to be doing it for (though tellingly never himself.) 🤬😡

Minimal screentime with XQS who indeed is focusing on his missions but you gotta sit though like 15 mins in ep22 of Yiren the roadblock *compromising his morals and blaming everyone but himself for it while achieving nothing during some Sect Politics 😂 I did nearly think he was going to dig up some integrity for a bit there though, he managed to look like there might be some moral fibre in him briefly.
Weird how Tang fang didn't show up in today's episodes 🤷
They’ve alluded to a tournament to determine the new Tang Clan leader though so I imagine she’ll show up soon 👀 Maybe she’ll fight with LSF for that spot and he’ll defeat everyone else and then let her win so that he can have his half sister stay safe? 👀

Not yet, but a couple of times there were reaction shots where he looked like his jaw was clenching when XQS said he ate that infinity pill and now the guy who had it is dead and he asked quite a lot of questions about that so I feel his true motive in being so friendly may be he was himself after that pill (cuz I still don’t trust that nice friendly guy one bit.) 👀

I don't think that's quite it, because he's chill being friends with people who want to join it, and there was no 'you must suffer' element to it when executing Kang. Maybe he expected her to get herself out of it based on her competency and how fast she beat him when they last fought, but I think tbh no matter who was in that position he would help. There's some things you just don't watch happen even if you hate someone.
