Am I the only one who is happy that So Moon and Hana might not become a couple? I for one love the noona×dongsaeng…
you're not the only one. i don't want them to ruin the younger brother/older sister dynamic
i read the webtoon, and in it, the counters survived. they summoned pil kwang and gelly. so moon and the yung territory became one. the territory coursed through his veins and he drove out the level 4 spirit from ju seok without summoning it or removing its host
there are a couple of things i'd have changed. for example, i wouldn't have let gelly erase so moon's memories. i wouldn't have let the other counters develop extra strength or telekinesis. so moon had to go into a temporary state of minimal consciousness to restore his memories. he relived the loss of his "parents" and woke up days later. he invested considerable time and effort (2+ years) into developing extra strength and telekinesis. all it took for the other counters to develop them was for them to think about semi-conscious so moon and semi-communicate with his subconscious mind/for so moon to cry and subconsciously think about them 😐 so moon earned his powers. the others didn't (i want so moon to be super special and super powerful, okay? sue me). the drama might be different
the drama has already strayed from the webtoon and made it better. webtoon jeok bong was a toxic aspiring singer who thought he's hot shit, webtoon counters and webtoon ju seok were strangers, webtoon ju seok had a daughter, and it wasn't an unborn child and webtoon wi gen was an ethnically german woman
hyun woo (hantae) and do yoon (baram) moments were surprisingly cute and convincing. i could read the signs of genuine attraction between them from the get-go. they've become one of my favorite couples
i fast-forwarded through yoo in (young mi) and ja keon (jeong pal) moments. i don't want to see anything "straight" in bls (or gls) 🙏
how could the ex-teacher do this? copying and pasting baram's work without giving credit is dishonest and lazy. he made our baram cry! i want to wipe that stupid smile off his stupid face
so moon didn't get stronger in no time. he trained for 2 years and his hard work paid offhe's literally not like…
that's the funny side of him. like how mo tak brags about himself
"i heard you're no match for so moon" "that's not true. so moon is like a mini-me"
"you see the yellow handprint? the handprint that's much higher than the others? i, ga mo tak, made that legendary jump!"
and is this the time or place to complain about arrogance? if so moon is arrogant, isn't everyone? mo tak, ms. chu, mr. choi and ha na believed they were superior to jeok bong. so moon was the only person who trusted jeok bong and his unstable powers
"the smell seems worse toward the west? i don't know" "get your shit together and stop making us anxious!" "that's why i didn't want to say anything ..." "what if ... jeok bong is right?"
the spirits believe they are superior to counters/people. and people believe they are superior to each other. everyone has an ego; a sense of personal identity or self-importance
"... them being reduced to the characters that need to be saved constantly by the MC gets boring quick"
then the writing of the other characters was atrocious. we should lift the others up, not bring so moon down
I like the show in general but Cho Byeong Kyu (So Moon)'s acting and/or the writing for his character are atrocious. The…
so moon didn't get stronger in no time. he trained for 2 years and his hard work paid off
he's literally not like the other counters. so moon wasn't a comatose patient when he was recruited. he's full of energy
his energy is a ladder stretching from the human world to yung (wi gen called it a door in season 1, episode 15). it's an extension of the yung territory itself. the time so moon spent in the training room increased his strength to infinite levels. he could summon the territory, manipulate rocks and take down a level 4 spirit. 2 years passed, and he should be stronger in season 2. downgrading him would have been atrocious writing
he's not arrogant. he's a reliable person with a strong sense of responsibility. mo tak, ms. chu, mr. choi and ha na are his family. he doesn't want to lose them
the other counters aren't/don't feel useless. mo tak is freakishly athletic. he taught so moon how to fight. ms. chu has healing powers so moon doesn't have. she repaired so moon's damaged bones many times. mr. choi is freakishly rich. he provides for the others. so moon can read memories and sense spirits, but ha na is better at them
they called so moon the pillar that upholds their team. they wouldn't trade him for the world
"I/We can do it"
it's his teamwork slogan to motivate himself and his team members. like shia labeouf's "just do it," it's a meme. it's not supposed to be taken seriously
because it is. we can't rule out the possibility that it is a publicity stunt. it's all about business for celebrities. every time they step outside is a new opportunity for them to be the center of attention. they want you to buy into their fake "lives" to sustain themselves and their careers. i believe their "break-up" is around the corner
When Pil Kwang pushed the blondie into a wall, brought his face close to hers and was thinking how to defeat So…
"... the first thing that came to my mind was that he will kiss him to death"
you're not wrong. all he thinks about is so moon. in the bathroom, living room, bedroom, courtroom, he plans their meetings in his head and wants to run into so moon
imagine pil kwang and gelly repenting for their sins, casting out their demons and returning to the human world as counters. having to team up with so moon, mo tak, ms. chu, mr. choi and ha na, they humble themselves and keep an open heart. pil kwang courts so moon and gelly courts ha na to win their hearts and earn their forgiveness, and- 🤔 that would have been a heartwarming story
I am not feeling Uncanny Counter at all this season. I am getting less and less motivated to watch it.
uncanny counter should have broken into double-digit ratings
the 2nd season showcases the uncanny family in well-choreographed, stunningly crafted combats. so moon has gotten stronger and healthier. he has the power and fury of a raging storm! he's the best thing that ever happened to yung. the plot lines and dialogues are coherent. and the wise jokes crack me up
You can look at her fellow member Jennie and get your answer. Regrettably, dating remains "scandalous", particularly…
"when you look at bg fanservice and see it's very, um, homoerotic, it's because ..."
it's because men should be with men, and women should be with women
for all their flaws, korean entertainment agencies have done one thing right; girl/boy groups. equally equipped sex-exclusive programs teach members of the same-sex to work together and develop vital social skills. they share meals, split up chores, hug, hold hands, flirt, kiss, and support each other through work stress. their relationships involve comfort, honesty, trust, respect and open communication. every second is homoerotic and romantic. society doesn't let them see that. they don't see the beauty in same-sex socialization/love
"they are just friends!"
that's what they say. "friendship" and "romance" are not different. they are variations of the same love. variations of the same desire to be close. idols have been in polyamorous same-sex relationships since debut. their love for their groupmates will always be realer than whatever they might have with the opposite-sex
you made the right pick. uncanny counter and dp are about people proving themselves, fighting against adverse circumstances and finding their roles in their communities. they will get you out of your slump. king the land is about ... nothing. it's the slump
save yourself. grab your comfiest blanket, a bottle of popcorn, and curl up with uncanny counter and dp
pil kwang: i'm happy we met, what about you? are you happy? 😍❤️ so moon: no, i'm not pil kwang: you're ... not? what a shame, i'll be bored without you 😟😭💔😡🤬🖕
all this man wanted was a yes. he's begging for so moon's attention. so moon should give him some 😆
it's because the asian entertainment industry relies heavily on the parasocial aspect of the relationship with…
you have a limited understanding of the world
every job is slavery. everyone falls into two groups; slave (working, middle class) and owner (top 1%). asian entertainment agencies aren't doing anything out of the ordinary
universal human rights? human rights aren't valid independently of opinions and institutions. there is no universal agreement as to whether human rights exist, can exist, and if they exist, of what provenience
i don't believe in a "god." i believe human rights came from human laws. humans made laws. from imaginary, man-made laws came imaginary, man-made rights
human rights are nonsense. and universal human rights are nonsense upon nonsense. noone has an innate right to life, liberty, privacy or happiness. it's not innately toxic or immoral to "violate" these "rights"
non-westerners shouldn't care about what westerners think of them or their culture. westerners tell non-westerners what to do for their gratification, to feel better about themselves. they should practice self-reflection and be okay with non-western fans telling celebrities what to do for their gratification
