The fact you talked about the comedic elements was great; most people don't mention it!
My top 5 scenes in no particular order:
-The first night that everyone sees the people come back to life, after saying that this could never happen (I enjoy that kind of scenes so much!)
-When it was revealed that the queen wasn't pregnant (even though it was heavily hinted in previous scenes) and I finally understood what she wanted to do with all those pregnant women.
-The revelation about the temperature and not the sun as the reason they wake up.
-The little girl dying was -for me- like they were pointing out who the real monsters are.
-When they protected the injured/elderly with the carriage and the statement that he wasn't going to abandon them.
I could write so much more... (I also loved the opening, it was so beautiful)
My favourite character was definitely Young Shin (portrayed by Kim Sung Gyu). He was full of mystery and he was also courageous and to tell the truth I actually expected him to die after his unkind behaviour in the first episode. I also loved Ryu Seung Ryong's performance (I wanted to kill him half the time)!
5 reasons for people to watch it:
1. The zombie scenes are greatly executed
2. The cinematography is beautiful
3. The drama blended with comedy is not something that we usually see.
4. The suspense
5. The mysterious plot.
And THIS IS A PERIOD/ZOMBIE DRAMA, everyone should watch it.
That was long....
I don't want to insult you in any way and I understand your love about twilight. The article had a very interesting theme!
1. This is a good idea, but the teacher seems to be precautious about anyone getting near the building and he would probably start another explosion if someone tried to do anything that risky.
2.That is extremely dangerous for the hostages as it would probably injure -or worse- a lot of the students.
3. That is my fav from the ones you stated, but it is also risky. From the things I have understood so far they can't watch inside the classroom because of the windows and they could kill someone innocent even if they tried.
I also believe that the writer (besides the fact that they should write 10 episodes of the series) wants to point out the huge power of the media. Taking those risks to save the students would be something that probably not even the government would agree to as there is a huge possibility for people to get hurt. This is me overthinking but they would feel better if a ''psycho'' killed students than them killing them in the process of rescuing them. (This is obviously not an intention from the writers, but if the government somehow intervened that is what would probably happen. They would get blamed for killing innocents. That is why I believe that the techniques you mentioned- that btw were great and they would probably happen (especially the 3rd one) if something like that occurred- would be a risky move as they had to involve the government in the plot )
Btw how many episodes have you watched? I am waiting for subs!
Can't wait for the final episode!
Zombies + Joseon= amazing
It will be interesting to see for once fighting zombies not in the future, but in the past.
I hope I am not the only one who wishes this to be a big hit so more people will start watching korean dramas.
