Title Shadow Love Spoiler
From what I’ve seen in some clips of what’s coming, I think Annan is jealous of himself. He hates that she loves Jin’an. I get the feeling he’s holding onto his memories because he really does love her, not because of the Jade Linglong

I just finished watching today’s episodes. The Evil Sorcerer’s death didn’t seem that bad to me, since he dies in the same place he was exiled, kind of closing the circle. Plus, he was always just the Empress’s puppet and such a loser.

Now I feel like Annan is back, pretending to be Jin’an. Those words about waking up from a long sleep… and that hot kiss. He really knows how to play this cunning game. No clue where the story or his memories are headed though, since the Jade Linglong is never taken from him in the novel

Guys do you think ML will take back Linglong at any point to gain back the superpowers?
According to the release schedule, there’s a Jade Linglong symbol in episode 37. So now I’m not sure what it means, because I thought they would extract it there… but it actually happened earlier

I really love how faithfully they've adapted the original novel - it's an adaptation so there are some changes…
Totally agree. As a novel reader, I’m really happy with how they’ve adapted and improved the story

In the novel, they just move to a peaceful place. But in the show, I just can’t see the Crown Prince, a man so obsessed, ever letting her go in front of his enemy.

I just can’t see Su Mu Yang ever letting the FL go. So I think he’s going to die, and Prince Annan will unite both nations. Feels like the most logical outcome, since there aren’t any qualified successors in Yao either

You’re not the only one who’s thought that. Maybe I’m just in denial, but I feel like it could actually be his plan. I don’t know… it just makes me anxious to see all the suffering Li Shuang goes through because of him. He’s her beloved, even if it’s Annan’s personality in control

We’re totally in the dark with this arc since it wasn’t in the novel. But I think the scriptwriters will make him keep his memories with Li Shuang, only it’ll be Annan showing up as the dominant personality, not Jin’an. That’s why he’ll still have feelings for her, but in a way he doesn’t really know her as himself. (At least, that’s how I think it’ll go) Or maybe he really does forget her and starts having flashbacks of them together, which leaves him confused and intrigued

The CP only shows up three times. He doesn’t really do much in the plot, which is why he survives. The novel mainly focuses on Li Shuang and Jin’an. The whole political storyline between their countries just isn’t in the novel. The drama script really expanded on the novel, especially with the Prince Annan arc and how he will deal with all the mess in his life after being gone

Novel readers, one question- In the novel, after Jin An forgets about Li Shuang, how much duration does that last.…
He never forgets her, because the Prince Annan arc doesn’t get any development in the novel. When he finally remembers who he is, nothing really important happens with that truth. That’s in the second-to-last chapter, and the last one is all about Li Shuang’s fate

In these two episodes, Cheng Lei once again shows his acting talent. The way he shifts his expression between the Blood Puppet and Jin’an in the quicksand scene is just amazing. You can really see two personalities warring inside him.

Wow that's quite short for a Chinese webnovel 😯 usually they go up to 100 chapters+..
He exists in the novel, but his character gets no development at all. When Jin’an remembers who he is in the second-to-last chapter, nothing happens. The last one is about Li Shuang’s fate, and only in the extra do they get their happy ending. That’s why I say the drama actually improved the storyline and is giving us 8–9 episodes of Annan

Yeah, the novel felt kind of unfinished in many parts, so the scriptwriters filled in the gaps with their own take. For example, the whole Prince Annan arc is 100% from the drama, although it still keeps the same timing as the novel, happening at the end of the storyline.

I wanted to ask everyone- what are your favourite scene in the series yet!? They might not be any famous scene…
Umm, I actually have a few! One is when she used her bow and arrow in battle while jumping off Jin’an’s transformed arm. Another is when Jin’an practiced his confession in front of Qiao Er’s straw dolls. I also love the scene when they both grabbed the sword during the fight. And for the romantic ones… honestly, all of their hugs.

I understand that it can be frustrating that he still doesn’t remember who he is and that the pacing is slow, because it is. But I’m really grateful the scriptwriters are giving us 8 episodes of Annan to get to know him. The novelist made him so irrelevant once he regained his memories... We have to keep in mind that the novel only has 45 chapters and two extras, so I actually feel the drama really improved the original plot, flaws and all.

Is it me, or is this drama so slow? I am on ep 23 and getting bored with it. I love the drama but need something…
The story moves slowly, building layer by layer, so it can feel a bit drawn out at times. Also, both the original novel and this one are based on Jin’an and Li Shuang
