On the other hand, my drama watching hasn't suffered much, so that's something! :D I've definitely expanded into historical dramas!! OMG am I in love with them!! From the not so love Arang and the Magistrate to the very much love The Moon Embraces the Sun and The Princess's Man, I've been trapped in them. Once I finished those, I moved onto Chinese Historical romance dramas, and have found love. <3 I didn't think I would love them so much, but my god, I do. The Vigilantes in Masks was freaking awesome, and I think I've watched it five times already (Well parts of it) and then I took a giant leap and watch Startling By Each Step, which I didn't want to watch mostly because of the guys all being half bald, but it was and is absolutely AMAZING. The characters and story-line is the best I have ever seen, and even if I still love BM and such, it's fundamentally better. It's the best writing I've ever seen. It's very character driven, and not a single character is the typical character we always see in dramas, they're REAL to the core. They ALWAYS stay true to their personalities, and there are no real gimmicks to make the story keep going. In my heart, even if I didn't like the choices they made, I loved the character themselves regardless, because you understood each choice. Ah, just amazing. I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Even though the ending isn't an all around happy ending, it didn't make me dislike the drama at all. It was exactly what should have happened, and agh, I think I'll need to watch it again. Not to mention, the female lead is my absolute favorite. Ok, I'm done! Tell me about you!! <3 I miss ya my dear! ^.^

Hey darling! :D I thought of a few good excuses as to my absence, but they all suck horribly and are not worth the effort. I've just been horrible at keeping in touch, I'm sorry. How have you been??? Are you still enjoying 9 Times Time Travel?? I hope so! I'm glad to hear that you've found your love again! ^.^ How is your family? Is your brother healing well?
I got my cast off a while ago and have been doing physical therapy, which is a lot more painful than I had been preparing myself for. haha It's ok though, getting better. I still walk with a limp and use a crutch when needed, but there's been improvement, and the doctor said my bones fused properly, it's mostly the ligaments and muscles right now that are revolting. XD heh So it's been pretty busy, not to mention the BF chose the worst time (selfishly speaking) to go visit his family in New York, but it's forcing my to actually get used to doing everything by myself again and using my leg and foot a lot more. ^.^ I also came down with the flu, so I've been cranky as all hell. Heh, so those are my complaints and rants, but I'm staying optimistic, even if by force. :P I'll put this all under spoiler so everyone doesn't have to read my whining. XD

and my god is the music ever horrible. Or lack thereof? Yeah, that's the problem. There's not enough background music, and the silence is just...unsettling, but unintentionally unsettling. Or new music that just doesn't even fit the era pops up out of nowhere and that's even more unsettling. XD idk, I'm still on the fence. The love story IS good, really good, so there's that.
I hope you keep enjoying drama watching!
(BTW I ended up watching Speed the other day because of you. :P)

Haha I'm glad! :D I was worried after I read your last message! I never would have though that Nail Shop Paris was about any of that. O.O How..weird. Is it a good weird? I'd assume so since you're still watching it. haha Keep me updated please! ^.^
I think you should definitely always enjoy the idea of watching dramas, and not watch one because you feel pressured. I realized me gushing and telling you to watch BM was probably a lot of pressure because of how much I loved it and wanted you to love it. XD I'm sorry! I know it's more than that, but I didn't help. >.>; Haha I get too excited sometimes. But again, I'm glad you were able to start watching a drama just for the fun of it again!
I have startling news...I'm watching Arang and the Magistrate. Yes...a Shin Min Ah drama!! *Gasp* Did hell freeze over? I'm not sure yet, but I don't want to murder her as much as I do when I try to watch MGIAG. The male lead is definitely the main reason I'm sticking around though. It's interesting, but it's so horribly slow in some parts, and needlessly sneaky. Like showing only part of a scene, cutting away to a completely unrelated scene, and then going back only to really have nothing happen anyways, or to have exactly what you knew was going to happen, happen...

I haven't really watched anything new recently, which is odd, but I'm still stuck from Bridal Mask, so nothing is really appealing to me. Any suggestions?

(I'm long winded as well...XD Or for myself, more aptly called a babbler. XD)
I don't like descriptive sex scenes in my romances either, so I understand where you're coming from. Most of the romances I pick don't have many, or I skip them because it's pointless. I'll just watch porn if that's what I'm looking for. I think I like a sense of danger in my romances, which is why I like the mystery. Agatha Christie is one of my favorites, but my guilty pleasure is Nora Roberts and Nicholas Sparks. Haha
I'll be honest, I swooned all over Darcy, but logically I probably shouldn't. Elizabeth is my favorite character in a book so far, and I could probably read Pride and Prejudice forever if I had to. I don't think I've read very many rewritten fairly tales, but you've got me curious now.
I haven't read any of your favorites, so I'm going to look into them! I love finding new styles to read.
Hmm, my absolute favorites...this is difficult because most of my favorites truly are classic novels. I just enjoy the style of writing more. More recent would be..
The Guardian - Nicholas Sparks (Guilty Pleasure, I regret nothing)
Rose Madder - Stephen King (I'm not actually a Stephen King fan, but it was an interesting story.)
The Language of Flowers - Vanessa Diffenbaugh
I haven't been able to watch Shut Up: FBB either, but I ruined it myself by stumbling onto one of their MVs. XD

Yessum Ma'am. 49 Days is currently untouchable for me. You are right though, one day when I'm in the mood for a tragic romance with a beautiful story, I'll probably end up watching it.
I love thrift stores for that very reason! Where I'm at, we don't have discount book stores, so garage sales and thrift stores are the only places, but they have tons! I also make a trip every summer to a state wide flea market where they let you fill up an entire box of books for an inanely cheep price. ^.^
I think my favorite Poe poem is Spirits Of The Dead. I used to be in Speech (Because I was a nerd like that and was also in Drama Club. I have no regrets. haha) and I still have it memorized from a speech I gave about it. For Shakespeare, I always come right back to Macbeth. In drama class we got to see a wide variety of different performances of it, and it was such a fun experience. A Midsummer Night's Dream is a very close second though!! We actually went to a large theater in a different city to see a play put on by professional stage actors, and it was AWESOME! They had such amazing costumes, were actually hooked up to wires so they could fly around, and I think I respected the play a lot more after that.

Oh wow! I would feel bad too, but part of me thinks that it's a good thing? Maybe that's too harsh, they probably could have just suspended her ability to write prescriptions, but maybe she's done it before? He could have gotten really sick, or even died if it was a medicine he was lethally allergic too! I'm glad he's doing better though and got it all figured out! He went through a lot of trouble, even the sutures! Again, I'm just thankful he's doing better and it wasn't more serious, on the medicine angle.
Haha! I'm loving your grandma right now!! I wouldn't be able to walk away from that scene in K2H either! Hot Neighbor? You've got me curious and jealous. Should I move so I can have some eye candy? :P
I know what you mean! That's exactly the feeling I had when I started BM. I mean..I don't start dramas just to see if I'll like them and then write them off, or put dramas on hold, and rarely drop them, but those were happening a lot more often recently. That's the whole reason I started BM, to just get it over with and drop it, say I gave it a try. But it just..well you know. And I'm really surprised she's liking it! For me, it's the difference in characters and story-line (Like the female lead not doing the normal things they always have a female lead next to a hero do, or the story of a hero being so clear cut) It just has so much heart and shocking reality to it that it renewed my love a little. I really hope it does the same for you! I don't want you to get tired of drama either!!

I can't even be mad that you're watching those movies! I'm jealous!!! <3 I really really want to watch Independence Day now!! I miss Will Smith. haha Not to mention Jeff Goldbloom. (or however you spell his name) XD I also loved Speed, even if it gets made fun of a lot!
But yes!!! *Jumps around* I really want you to watch it! Probably more than my room mate! I'm excited to find out what you think of it! Partly because of both of our opinions on Joo Won were so poor during L7, and partly because I just know you'll enjoy it so much! Just watch how fast that man makes you fall in love with him, even if you're angry at him. Haha
It took me a long time to get into RM because of that same reason! haha I always skip because I get bored when they try to over-dramatize boring scenes. Once I got into it though, I really enjoy it, which is odd because I hate Western reality TV. Although I did love me some Fear Factor back in the day.
Yeah, hopefully it's the last week and I can get started on working my muscles back up and actually enjoying spring! :D Everything's green and pretty here, so it's killing me more to be inside!

I'll be sure to start it though, and my attention will be at war between YSY and Joo won now for sure! XD
Ah, King2Hearts! <3 I love that drama! It's the drama that made me fall in love with Lee Seung Gi, his acting really surprised me a lot. Please let me know how you like K2H as well! I'm excited for you to finish it! :D

We should probably learn how to stop fighting the inevitable, but where's the fun in that?
It's true that hearing someone dies at the end of a drama makes it a lot more difficult to watch it. There's one that I won't touch because of that reason. XD
I used to read a lot more than I do now, but I read a fair share. I ADORE Jane Austen! <3 I can't count the number of times I've read Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility. Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe, and Shakespeare are the only authors (using this term widely XD) I've made sure to have every piece of work from. Normally, I read romance/mysteries. I like fantasy novels, but I don't really like Sci-fi, so I'm wary of the genre.
What's your favorite book? Do you have a drama you can't watch because you know someone dies?

Good! I'm glad you finally get a break! :D I haven't watched any new drama yet..*gasp!* How weird is that for me?? haha I'm still stuck, but I'm okay with that. ^.^ I've been watching a lot of Running Man though between re-watches of Gaksital. XD Which is an awesome reality show. <3 My foot is okay I guess, the doctor decided to keep the cast on for another week. I'm starting to think they're just trying to make me pay as much money as possible. -.-;
I hope you like AAMR, I've heard good things! Although, selfishly, I want you to start BM first! haha BUT! I am consoled over the fact you're not because I got my room-mate to watch it with me!!! :D:D:D I couldn't believe that I finally succeeded in making her watch a Kdrama, but she's absolutely loving it!! It really makes me all excited over it again because of her reactions to it. :D It feels like when you teach a baby something new that makes their world better. haha jkjk
Let me know how you're liking AAMR! How's your brother doing? Did he find something to help with the pain? Did your nana ever finish Lie To Me?

*twitches* The first episode you say? It would have been less tempting if she was in a later one!! Not that that's your fault, but I think I'm going to crack and just watch it.
I never really had a problem with waiting for western TV shows either, now that you mention it. Well, at least I didn't wait for the season to be over. I think they're formatted differently though, so it's easier to handle the wait. I've actually never seen Lost, but so many people love it, that if I didn't have so many dramas to watch, I'd start it now. XD
I think we'll both end up watching it as it airs, because if I crack and end up doing so, I'll make sure to rub it in your face. *innocent look*
Oh! I can't stand the cliffhangers on dramas either! I'll always watch the beginning of the next episode like you do, and sometimes I get so nervous while watching an episode I'll take a peek at the end just to see what happens. I'm one of those people that will read the ending of a book just to see if it's worth it. (Which I know I shouldn't be proud of)XD Most spoilers don't ruin much for me if the story is still good, I'll enjoy the ride and still get tons of surprises along the way. I just usually prefer happy endings.

Ahaha Yeah, Gaksital kind of stole my heart and made a mad dash with it. It really surprised me, because I had convinced myself I wouldn't like it at all, until five minutes in and I was already in love. XD It's an obsession, but it's been a long time since I've been this obsessed with one drama, so I can't even apologize.
I'll get started on finishing King Of Baking once my obsession of Joo Won being Gakstial fades.
Do you have any dramas you didn't think you'd like and ended up loving?
