OMG, Yang Zi's cello performance in the lobby is embarrassing.
Why? I mean they were showing that she was beautiful while playing. We were looking at her 'with Gu Wei's eyes' in a way, There are many dramas, where a character plays a piano, or another instrument but the focus of the scene is on something else. This is cinema after all. Anyway, I disagree.
I actually never read the novels these series are adapted from. Learned that lesson with American films because…
I don't read the novels dramas are adapted from, unless it's danmei or bl:))) I am sure, many people here have watched SnowWhite or Beauty and the Beast, or Carmen. But rare are people who have read them. And I don't think, those who didn't, need to read the source, to have the right to enjoy them or decide whether they are good:)))
Just finished the first six episodes, and I still think that it is pretty good, but has yet to do anything to…
I don't think anyone on this page has a problem with any other person's opinion, as far as it is a genuine opinion. At least, I haven't seen any post that didn't respect an opinion about a drama. However, not all posts are coming from the right place, and therefore not all people will get the same kind of replies. Not only on this page, but on many pages on mdl, I have seen people writing a post, thinking that noone has the right to disagree with them, because that is their understanding of freedom of speech. But even when someone writes something negative, people have the right to disagree, without the person 'feeling victimised'. Especially, when most of the posts aren't even about dramas, but concern the fans themselves. What they should like or not, how rejoiced they should or should not be, etc. Shouldn't we expect that someone will answer to us, if we judge and attack them?
Apart from this, I'll only comment on one thing you said about expectations and hype probably not meeting the reality. Whose reality? We can only decide for ourselves whether our own expectations are met . As to the other people, we can't judge on that, because we might not understand their expectations, in the first place. And we can't judge on 'reality', because it is still only 'our own reality'.
I think its kinda translation fault... like it made Kiyoi sound much meaner that he actually was... if i remember…
This is funny. But I am afraid the translation is also not that important. Because, even if you see it muted, and without subs, you should be able to understand what's going on:) I am saying this seriously. On another note, ratings sometimes have nothing to do with the drama, because people downvote also for other reasons. And this is clear as sky when you check rating tendencies on mdl...
For those who are enjoying this drama , please continue on supporting this drama til the end...And for those who…
Do you think that people will listen to you if you ask nicely?:))) On another note, I think you mentionign they might ruin eagerness to watch the drama is kind of fun, because it's exactly why they are doing it:)))) This said, Never gonna work, because it doesn't work that way.... It's going to have the opposite effect and more people are going to watch it. So do not worry.
I've been curious about this one since I saw the trailer a while ago and put this on my watch list and now I'm…
The reviews aren't called mixed, when the majority loves it. Even when you have a rating of 8,3, it means 83 percent loves it. And if you go on the rating page, 90% rated it 10, according to mdl at least. Mixed is when it's 50/50 (around), which it'll never be:)
Of course, whether to watch or not, it's really up to you. You can watch it on WeTV or Viki. You'll have free episodes + vip episodes. But if you do not want to pay subscription, you just have to be patient waiting for the new episodes to become free.
Unless I am mistaken, they only mention one being in thirties, and the other, younger. Which makes sense considering one is a Doctor and the other a University student.
You can check by age group what the rating is by clicking on the blue/black lines to the right of the ratings…
Thanks. know that you can see the ratings by age group, but this rating is not what i am referring to. Unless you mean something else. What I mean, is seeing the number of people/percentage by rate. For example how many people voted 1, 2, 3, etc. Even right now, we seesome data - 90% of people voted 10, and 10% of people voted 6.5. But this can't be the whole accurate data. I thought it was informative when mdl showed the whole data.
I had not read the synopsis on this page, but I did right now. And I read the one on Viki. I don't remember who mentioned here on this page, but the person was right I think, that this synopsis on viki was written based on the novel, not the drama. And if the Viki synopsis was edited here on mdl that's great. But right now, I'm afraid, the lanugage is a little colloquial, and the english needs to be edited.

I believe the rating will go up again after the ending. Most of us don't rate dramas until they finish airing
I haven't rated yet:) That's why I explained that my post is about something else. There are so many things that could be said, but I didn't want to write long, and edited my message several times...
I'll tell from the beginning, my post isn't about what rating a drama should have, or how viewer should rate a drama, but about the 'phenomenon' of downvoting, which is a different phenomen. When a drama is being downvoted, t's not the result that is disappointing, but viewers and the site.. Because, first of all, rating doesn't change anything. Does a drama become better or worse? If it has lower rating than another drama (saying randomly, I don't mean any specific drama), will the other automatically become better or better received?:) To me, this phenomenon, shows the rather sad side of the viewers, believing that dramas/actors are in some kind of competition, not even realizing, that this competition is only in their own heads, and that these actors they believe they 'love', would be repulsed by this type of mentality. But just to remind everyone that downvoting shows the popularity and the worth of the drama:) And the fact that I do not feel the need to check other ratings, compete, write ten thousand disguised messages on other pages, all of this, is for a REASON. Because what I love is something deserving, that does not need to enter a competition with something else...
PS On a separate note, transparency of a Site is a different matter, and would be better if MDL would display number of votes and percentage per ratings.
Anyway, I disagree.
