You can watch either or. TV version appears ealier because of copyright issues. But the TV version has been adjusted to fit the TV schedule. I had compared 1 episode, and what was different, that the credits were missing, and that the ending of episode 2, was the beginning of episoe 3.
The other version is the Original Tencent online version. And I am watching this version. But when the TV version appears, I watch the TV and then pass to the Online again, since I can also rewatch some scenes anyway.

If you'd like to see what kind of shows, you can go on Douban, search by ' type', then by country and year. This feature does not always work on douban, but sometimes it works properly, and you can sort contents.

All countries censor contents but the censorship laws and regulations are different for different countries. We never speak of Korea censorship for example, but I watched south korean drama from 2000 to 2012, and even the word sex wasn't pronounced in them. May be only in 1 or 2. Isn't this also called TV censorship?
China does not censor how male leads look... It's not because someone said something somewhere, and people and even some journalists spread (especially bbc, cnn or some countriesà, that it is policy.
As to homosexuality, this is a more complex issue. But it's still not as many people imagine or talk of on mdl, because they do it listening to each other I'm afraid. I am not sure, but some of the comments you are writing come from what's going to happen in the Novel? And that's perfectly fine, but you need to include spoilers, please.
Especially, that, in any case Novel and Drama are two different things, and the drama may have its own interpretation, and these comments are for those, who want to find out about source (unlike me, for example).

And on another note, I watched 7 episodes and didn't see what you are speaking of... The EXACT reason, why it should be under a spoiler.

The drama is about how people meet and may be they are already in love, but they don't know they are... Or may be they are falling in love. And we see t happening step by step.
And they stay close to each other, and, entrust themselves to each other,
And also the little theatres give away some of their thoughts and feelings starting from the first episodes:)

By 'genuine' I mean a few things. As the word tells, it means sincere. Because if you appear on a page 'disguising' a message, other users see it too. You can't possibly say that people don't do that, can you?:) And genuine also means, that people should remember what's the true intention of watching and commenting. If you watch a drama and comment, because you want to express an opinion that should be welcomed, but if what moves you, is a wrong motivation, then that's not an opinion any more. If a go to another page of a drama, that aired yesterday, and say something about it, just because I like this one, then, that's a wrong motivation.

People have different experiences on mdl, because they like different things, because they use mdl differently, etc. But my experience on mld, shows me, that the problem does not like with the fans. The problem lies in the fact that there are people on mdl, that do not comment or rate, but compete. And in this competition, they forget what a genuine intention is, creating a very wrong atmosphere for normal people.

Sure, you might find messages when someone didn't take a comment well, but what percentage? And also as I said, the contents is important too. If I go on a page of a high rated drama and write 'ratings should drop', or 'this is overrated', or 'fans are crazy here', etc, don't you think that fans have the right to reply?And if you do not believe me, then we can check together, to see what prevails on this same page.

May be, if someone appears on a page, without following the page more regularly, they can't see certain things. But those who do, they see the picture more clearly. And this is why, I don't like reading generalizing comments about fans, not accepting opinions, because that's not the heart of hte problems I see on mdl, at least on the drama pages I visit.
