It usually picks up, for most people, at ep 14 and onwards. I liked it since I first saw it, but I understand…
You don't seem to realize that you are presenting your opinion as a 'fact' or as 'majority's. First of all 'from what I've seen" isn't statistics'. This drama was watched by millions, more than TEN BILLION times and you think 'majority' is 'what you saw. I have to add also this is the first time in three years I read someone thinking 'there is slow world buildin in untamed' On top of all, you said yourself, comments you read may mean this or that and your own sentence means that you are 'INTERPRETING' acording to your understanding, which means that you are presenting YOUR Interpretation as other people's opinion, on top of all, majority's. It's ok to express ANY opinion, but not give wrong information. I have a degree too, by the way, but diplomas don't prove our points. I will stop here on this subject.

I remember a conversation with a colleague some years ago who had watched a movie that's considered a masterpiece 'stalker' but was telling how nothing happened on the screen... While something might be astounding for someone, another person, if expectin something else, can find it dragging.. Not only there isn't a second of dragging in this drama, but Untamed is the most exciting, intriguint, and well developed drama from all i've seen. Whether it's the drama or the book (that I read afterwards) the time they pass in Gusu (starting in ep 3) is absolutely romantic, beautiful, fun:) And therefore, it all depends on what we are there for... It's true that untamed develops in surprising and unexpected ways and therefore even episode 10 does not tell you as to where you'll end up, but it's not about picking up.. it's about the fact that good writing is about good development because you'll never reach whare you should, without it. I'll only write this one message because you spoke of 'most people', but the way you wrote may allow a wrong interpretation rendering what you wrote opposite to the facts.
I'll start by saying I never ship anyone, sinceI I never enter actors' personal space. But I am not fond of the word toxic you are using, because sometimes fans of one of the actors or of the other, are far worse. I prefer by far people who ship actors to those who love one of them, and don't stop creating rivalry, thinking that everything in this world is about competition. To choose between this type of fans and those who ship the actors, I prefer those who ship them.. i'll only write this one message on this.
Happy Birthday to the most beautiful, sexy and captivating character in the world. And of course, thank you Xiao Zhan for your Wei Wu Xian. There is only one person who could have interpreted this character the way he did, and that is YOU! ❤️🌹❤️
you need to check if the site had the cut or uncut version
Nothing was indicated. I'll ask differently. Do you know where to watch the uncut version apart from iqiyi ? I've watched it already, but I want to rewatch..
No they are not end up together But it is satisfying ending
Not every discussion has to be considered an argument... If I ask you to provide a link to a reliable source that proves that The Wolf was delayed because of this or that, I don't think you can. A production can be delayed because of a million issues, copyright, arguments, producers, actors, etc. Noone can know the truth. As to Addicted, many things are rumours, too. Fans create issues to blame on ‘censorship’ (the video when one of the actors was pulled away on the stage, for example). An actor being pulled away from another can have million reasons (manager’s orders because of this fans?). But, in any case, this is an audience issue. EDIT: If I understand well you referred to addicted being pulled out? Doesn't it mean it was approved before it was taken down? This doesn't mean, a film is only screened after the final cut, because it would be doing 50 percent of the editing/sound, etc, once again. One change in the sound could mean writing the sound again. We're speaking of millions of dollars. The process isn't as fans imagine it to be. The script could be approved in advance, and the film can be screed during post production but not after final cut. Even the word sex wasn't pronounced in kdrama from 2000 to 2012. How many times the word censorship appears on those drama pages, I wonder. Censorship is linked to politics, and today kdrama being more westernized (including more violence, etc.) isn't by accident. I’ll make an exception copying Wikipedia about South Korea. "…In recent years, sexual scenes have been a major issue that pits filmmakers against the Media Rating Board. Pubic hair and male or female genitalia are disallowed on the screen, unless they are digitally blurred. In rare cases extreme violence, obscene language, or certain portrayals of drug use may also be an issue…” I’m not saying that one country's rules isn't stricter than another for this or that aspect. But to learn on chinese censorship, neither bbc is a source nor the fans... Lastly about CQL. The censorship committee in China cannot be comprised of just anyone. If this is a romance for me, it’s a romance for them. And to make people separate to meet again, this just doesn't make any sense. I understand you have another thinking, but you should also understand that our thinking differs.
No they are not end up together But it is satisfying ending
you know, I think that separation having anything to do with censorship is not logical... I mean, that's not what censorship is, or how it works... But more importantly, when contents is created, and in whichever coountry we are speaking of, since all countries censor contents, these regulations are considered from the first day of its creation (the script....) In a drama written incredibly well, nothing can be explained 'by censorship'. Rather, the viewers should try to find the reasons behind the actions. In this case, why LWJ and WWX had to separate to meet again. If you think of the scene, when WWX realized he was leaving alone, the way he looked at LWJ... And this is exactly what the viewers should do... Try to understand as to why....
Hi! Is it a happy ending? I read couple of comments saying ''open ending''/''happy/ breathtaking'' ending.. And…
I have to assure you, that this drama does not have an open ending, because it is impossible to misunderstand the ending. It's a drama with a happily ever after... I edited my post, because the person who had answered deleted theirs
I also will give you a little information about the first two episodes and the story (no spoilers)...The first…
I wanted to add... When you think about it, this drama has been watched more than ten billion times by now. You don't have that kind of figure for a drama that isn't extremely entertaining with a rewatch value of a thousand:)... You just need to continue a little, and as soon as you are hooked, you won't be able to let go any more:))) ❤️
I love both the book and the novel, and therefore in a sense it doesn't matter whether you'll read the Novel first or watch the Drama first. But if in general, I think reading the Novel first is better in order to use your imagination for everything. In case of this Drama though, this is such an incredible adaptation, that I think watching it first is a more interesting experience. I somehow feel that if I had not watched the Drama first, I would have missed some things in the Novel (the fantasy elements) or even in the story (because the past and the present in the book are told simultaneously, contrary to untamed where starting from episode 3, it is told chronologically). I would have missed some things because I didn't read chinese novels before and because I would be reading a translation. I also think, that because of XZ and WYB and their nuanced acting, I got to interpret the drama, and whether it was about the story or the relationships, I liked having the suspense in the live action. But these are just my thoughts, because I can never tell what would have been my experience if I had read MDZS first... In any case, these two works can be regarded separately, but once you know both of them, the experience is incredible, since they also complete each other. I hope you didn't mind that I wrote so much. I just don't like people missing out on this, not knowing the experience they might have had:) And I didn't want you to think that you need to read the novel first, in order to watch the drama.
Okay I thought of dropping it after the first two episodes because one of the main leads seems like a bully but…
I come to this page once in a while, since I absolutely loved the drama. And when I read a comment about Kiyoi bullying Hira, I get surprised:) Because, when watching and even before reaching the ending episodes, to me it was crystal clear that Kiyoi never minded Hira's attention, that he acted in certain scenes (like when he sent him for ginger ale) to protect him, and that he liked him... You certainly don't kiss someone you are indefferent to:))) And in fact, after I watched the Drama, I also started to read the novel and Hira thinks of Kiyoi as of someone who hangs out with his classmates but is different from them, because he never bullies anyone, just playing on his phone... And the ginger ale scene is interesting in the book too. Because Hira thinks that Kiyoi does it for his own more egoistic reasons, but still appreciates how Hiyoi helps him and even admires him for being able to be so 'powerful'. Because the Drama too is from Hira's point of you, we can't see very openly Kiyoi's motivations, but still, I mean, it was clear to me he was helping Hira. As to Kiyoi, calling him strange or however we translated the japanese, this is not even worth mentioning because what a viewer should see is the feelings behind the words or not just 'words' because otherwise it's just first degree understanding. There is a part in the drama where Kiyoi calls 'himself' kimoi smiling, and these kind of details also should help viewers interpret the character's feelings. And also, without reference to this drama, we can tell 'I hate you' meaning 'I love you'. And this is what a viewer should look for, starting from the beginning. The TRUE feelings of the character and motivations behind his actions.
I watched this, never for once thinking that Hira was obsessive (because every single person in this world in love, will continuously look at the person they love), neither thinking that Kiyoi was bullying him, since... well, since he didn't:) Personally, to me, this is a Romance between two high school students, who like each other, but can't communicate to express their love. One of them, thinks the person he likes in 'unattainable' and the other wants the person he likes to approach him as to an equal, but doesn't express his feelings truthfully either. This is a very general description of how I feel about the drama, But in any case, this is an innocent romance:). A little treasure:) EDIT: An absolutely PERFECT ending!!! In fact, every episode had a very strong ending...
i wanna watch lan zhan in action but it looks so goofy help me
I also will give you a little information about the first two episodes and the story (no spoilers)... The first two episodes of the drama introduce you to the characters. If you look back on them later on, you will realize that they don't even have many scenes between the leads, whereas, this is adapted from a Romance after all, and the story is fantastic, but centered around a relationship, a romance... But you might not see this in the beginning... And the style has some theatrical elements, but I think, somehow, they are more vivid in the beginning.. in the fight in the Mo manor, for example... And therefore, all of this, combined with the fact that the beginning is just an introduction to the characters and that you can't immediately get immersed in the story, since you watch without knowing the 'history' behind the events, the relationships, etc... you will get a different feeling in the beginning that starting from episode three (where it all begins), and as you continue... Neither Mo Dao Zu Shi (the book), nor the Drama, aren't pieces that tell you right from the first phrase 'what you see is all you get'... They have surprising developments, depth, romance, you will discover up to the last chapter and scene... And the reason I am telling all of this, is to explain, that there is absolutely nothing wrong in not wanting to watch a drama or dropping a drama, but in case of this Drama, you are not going to know as to what you are going to miss. The rest is up to you.
i wanna watch lan zhan in action but it looks so goofy help me
Since you asked for help, you need to accept an honest opinion. In order to give you an advice, I checked your list to see that you mostly have thai or korean dramas on them and that differ immensely with their cinematography, style etc... And the reason why I wanted to answer, is that if I can understand well, you do like watching dramas with male leads. You've watched I told sunset about you, or kinnporsche, etc (I'm mentioning these two since I liked both).Almost forgot Utsukushii Kare (it's a favourite for me). I think, in general, watching movies or dramas from around the world helps understanding different styles, aesthetics, cinematic language... And therefore, how about watching this, understanding that what you might think of goofy, is a cinematic language and style that you don't know or aren't used to. Untamed is praised for its story, cinematography, aesthetics, chemistry between the leads, Romance ❤️, after all. Are you going to miss on all of this?
Wei Wuxian's photo is on my phone screen... And every time I see it, I think WWX is the most captivating, the sexiest, the most beautiful character in the world. 🌹
Going to give this another try…I dropped it twice but was told I need to keep watching as it gets so much better.…
I want to recommend to watch it, because it's true that even by episode 12, you still don't know the impact it may have on you... But at the same time, i liked it from the beginning. When watching for the first time, starting from episode 3, I really liked it a lot). Love came gradually, and by the end I was completely in love with it... but to me, it's not about getting better but being developed in surprising ways, the plot, the characters, the relations... I will tell you honestly, that I don't believe there is anyone that could watch this with the 'right mind, till the end, and not be conquered... The rest is really up to you.
