I can see that some users speak avout youku application and want to provide info and share my views. First of all, please remember to put things in perspective. Up till today a lot of dramas from different countries are watched on unofficial suspicious sites with unaesthetic pages popping up with every click. Therefore chinese providing apps such as wetv, youku, iqiyi and all of the official youtube channels is something to be extremely greatful for. They give us the possibility to watch the contenrs officially, with great quality. And if you want to watch the show on TV rather than a tablet, you can CAST on TV. My phone for example has a built in 'cast to TV option in the settings. If yours doesn't, then you can cast it to TV using an app. And I can't see the problem to download an app on a phone or a tablet. I don't remember anyone complaining that there is a Viki app for dramas:)
Let's stay a bit logical and not turn the positive into negative.
PS fyi, on my phone, the cast is available through - settings/connections and sharing/cast PS2 Youku also allows to 'download' the video that you can see later in the section 'downloads' of the app and watch it offline.
is Wei Wuxian or Wei Ying a more personal name? I get confused cause Lan Wangji calls Wei Wuxian Wei Ying. Since…
Chinese had a name given by birth. And when reaching a certain age, they were given another name, that in english we call 'courtesy name'. The birth name can only be used by those close to them, parents for exampke. Otherwise, it will be considered bad manners or rude. Wei Ying - birth name Wei Wuxian is his courtesy name Lan Zhan -birth name Lan Wangji - courtesy name.
And therefore, if you pay attention, the very first time when WWX calls him Lan Zhan, that calls for interpretation:) Tey call each other by birth names and it means closeness.
I want to watch it but I'm afraid I may be dissapointed, it often happens that I end up not liking series that…
If I may start from something else... I think asian actors are hardly ever cringy. Whether it's chinese, japanese, korean, thai, etc.. Chinese history of cinematography is well known. The casts and the crews working on chinese dramas are professionals that hardly can be found elsewhere today... So without offense if they make anyone cringe, then the person should rather think if up until today he or she was watching the right things. As to untamed, personally this is the best i've seen in a drama, not to elaborate further and compare to films or other countries... There is a reason why this drama is loved by millions who can't forget it after three years, and won't forget it in ten..it's thanks to the whole cast and the crew (and the author of mdzs of course). But first and utmost because of the acting...
As to the highly rated dramas you don't like. Will you believe it if i tell you that once I was looking for a new drama to watch and used a criteria to start watching from the least popular ones? :) I was tired to pick up and drop some popular dramas.
One thing to tell about untamed though, is that, for people who haven't watched or followed it, it might seem like another high rated drama. But in reality it's a drama that influenced international viewers perception, influenced their own industry and gained many new fans for chinese dramas in general... Globally..The drama garnered uncountable accolades....
Youtube shows this in direct for those who're interested. After SDC 3 and SDC 4 that I loved, I wasn't sure how this one will be since it has a different concept. And the 1st and 2nd episodes were excellent. I already knew Santa and discovered TEN. I love the parts when they are dancing. The producers realized that the viewers will want to see them dance and battle too... Seeing all of the contenstants, there is only one thought in my head.. How can there be so many talented people in one country. Not only talented, but very interesting... Not talking about the professionals working on the show.. Chinese are impressive...
As Synalei, I was also wondering why you said it was bittersweet and as her, I also think the answer is misleading since the question is about something else. But also, could you please kindly hide it under a spoiler?
I don't often get bored, but, if I ever got bored in the last two years, I just knew there was one drama that could save me from boredom, and that's CQL... At any point of time, I can switch on from episode 1 or any episode, and I'll just watch the whole thing all over again... Without fast forwarding for a second, it goes without saying... I just love it to pieces.... And this will never change... ❤️
Danmei adaptations aside...This drama shows to all of the others, korean, thai, etc as to 'HOW IT'S DONE".
Entertaining, Lighhearted, Beautiful (indlucing the actors and the act-ing), Aesthetic, with a lot of Atmosphere and Style, Modern, Young... Romantic... I can't count the number of times I've watched this, and I'll always come back to it.
The only downside... I dropped any other 'bl', I tried to watch after this one...
And to make sure I add this, this isn't a perfect 'bl', it's just a perfect Romance, for everyone, irrespective of whether or not they usually watch 'bl's or whether or not they watch this or that country dramas. I'll recommnd this to Everyone...
Im so late, but can someone tell me where can i read the novel? 😭
This novel was first translated (unofficially) and posted on the site of exiledrebels... However, it has been officially translated, but only the first book has been published as of now. The second book will be published in May. You can find all the information on Seven Seas Danmei site. https://sevenseasdanmei.com/
As always the chemistry between xiao zhan and yang zi is craaaazy, whenever i watch them i feel like im intruding…
I'll disagree completely. Because there is nothing melodramatic for me in this drama, which is extremely lighthearted, very happy, and extremely sweet... And this is coming from someone who never minds melodramas, by the way... And actually, one thing, that the teasers didn't tell me, it that there was going to be a fair amount of 'funny', but sweet and romantic funny:) And frankly, I am just wondering as to why a misunderstanding can be taken as something wrong in the first place. It's not because there is a misunderstanding in a drama, that it has anything to do with the writing, or that it's a melodrama... When looking back, most of the comedy dramas I've watched, had tons of misunderstandings, had even the couple get together in the last episodes . And some of them are the most popular and enjoyable, even until now... The korean Full House? You're Beautiful, BBF, Coffee Prince... Tons and tons of dramas, where the parts where the couple isn't together is as enjoyable (sometimes even more), than when they are.. This drama is about two people meeting, falling in love, having some ups and downs, and sticking together to end up entrusting themselves to each other. This is Tencent Synoopsis. And to me, the downs were really not even five minutes:) even if as I said, I wouldn't mind them at all.... Sometimes it's during misunderstanding that you have strong, emotional, scenes giving a very romantic feeling. Not talking of the fact, that when they come from an Actor like XZ, they are just in-credible. In any case, I am not writing to debate, but give my opinion, because, I think there are cases, when the objective shouldn't be convincing each other, (especially, when the opinions care opposite), but sharing a perspective.
Guys this is gonna sound silly but i don't think anyone will die because she wished twice against her birthday…
Tencent synopsis doesn't even mention anything about sickness, because apart from the drama starting when the person is hospitalized, and Dr Gu being the attending doctor, the drama has nothing medical. Personally, it never ocurred to me that anything sad could happens, since this is a very lighthearted drama largeley, or rather mainly, focused on Romance. And the whole tone is extremely lighthearted, even during misunderstandings...
I don't know... Actually it depends on the body of cancer survivors how they cope up with the treatment... Some…
I am going to be brutally honest here. Sometime using social media, we need to think of what we are writing. There might be users reading your post having patients at home, and you are writing stuff you have no idea of... You just unilaterally declared that the situation is dangerous for 55 year old people, taking treatment, when people can be 80 and all will be fine with them. Are you a doctor?
On another note, this is Fiction, on top of all, treating the issue in a lighthearted manner. Therefore this conversation isn't even relevant.
Guys can someone say wt is the difference between original and tv version coz they both have diff episodes which…
TV version airs first but the episodes were cut differently (duration), since they were adjusted to the Tv scedule. You can watch any version, in fact.
Some parts of this drama are very funny... But the best part of it is that it's even when you are laughing or smiling (more smiling:))), it's the romantic feeling that prevails at all times... It's sweet-funny:) ❤️
It's a TV drama so they can't show streamy kisses...
First, this is an Tencent Original Online drama, that's also shown on Hunan TV . If they needed they could change the contents for TV. But this absurdity about China censoring everything, comes from MDL. I don't mind opinions, as far as they come as 'opinions' and not misinformation.
I think watching 24 tv you'll see at least 30 mins more:))) Waiting for tomorrow is great too, to have even more contents. But I've switched to TV since they air earlier. And I'll bingewatch the online version, when it's full:))
