You can see who rated low, if the person rated it recently. For example right now, there are 13 people in "recently watched" on this page, but you would need to open their accounts one by one.

It had a 4 rating yesterday without anyone in "recently watched" so some people have the ability to guess if a future drama will be good or bad:) you know, I do not know if you had noticed before, I only noticed it recently, on mdl, you can see who watched the drama recently...
Actually it is funny because when I opened the page and saw the rating, I thought I was on the wrong page (didn't recognise the poster). I even deleted my post with the links where to watch it, thinking it was an older drama with the same title. And only afteI realized, I was actually on the right page.

Actually today, I noticed that while scrolling on it, it only shows the stats for completed/currently watching, but not any more the rating that people who have dropped gave.... Strange... May be a bug?

Only people who would, for some reason, not watch the Untamed (for whatever reason) or drop it after a few episodes, would rate low this drama... Well, the statistics prove it!!!

If you do not like this drama by any chance ( since I did not), I would recommend still not give up on kdrama but watch other type of dramas. Personally I loved kdrama filmed between 2004 and 2011 and I can see in your list that you liked some historical kdrama of that period and some films that seem to me some of my most favourite of all times (like the House of Flying Daggers).Of course, korean drama is nothing like wuxia:) (and Hotel Del Luna is not a fantasy drama but more mystery may be , supernatural, with some horror elements, and they are all mentioned in the tags). Koreans used to have great drama for people with different tastes, so you might be able to find dramas that you will like a lot, depending on what you are looking for.

I watched the drama first, then watched the animation and now I am reading the novel. In other cases I would have recommended to read the novel first, but in case of this drama, it is better to watch it first. The suspense will be higher, there are some beautiful twists up until the end, and it is important that you have the possibility to interpret the characters and relations yourself. I would not read any reviews or comments either before watching. And yes I absolutely loved it, watched it rewatched it and will rewatch again. The only thing, the beginning of the drama might seem a little confusing, so just continue watching and everything will be explained later.... I cannot remember from which episode I started loving it, but you get into the story gradually and then get addicted :) Atleast I did...

The Untamed.. It revived my love for dramas.. I almost lost it.... And it made me interested in C dramas. Start wirh that:))))

This conversation was never about BBF. As to whether fans should or should not watch older dramas, debating about it is kind of ridiculous. I guess some things are better said directly:)
