@jpny01 Soul Reaper guy is only hot when he is not working. It's amazing how different with his hair down and smile makes him a lot more attractive than when he combs his hair bavkward and doesn't smile as a reaper.

The drama is manipulative and preachy. The ost is also wrongly used in first episode, a sad and melancholy music score is played when a patient dies; we barely know the character but the director wants tears from us.

Love mix up has up and down, I think My Man Is Beautiful is better as long as you don't see there is bullying and toxicity im their relationship. They came out at the same time.

If you have seen recent Japanese BL, I think they will always have some nice surprise for us. They don't do dozens of flashbacks and show everything on screen to make us understood unlike some other BL from some Asian country, if you know what I mean.

His face is already one of the prettiest in Japan BL dramaland together with kurasawa from Cherry Magic (look like Noaya elder brother). I was surprised his body is defined for a young guy! 😘

Korea and Japan, please stop having Asian casts with bleached blond hair! It's hideous and make Asian haters hate us more for being white wannabes! I haven't seen any Asians pulling off great blond hair, what's worse, it makes some Asian skin looks really yellowish with bad blond dye!

You win, I've watched twice only and looking forward to the new episode. Noaya is really handsome like Kurasawa in Cherry Magic. I wish Kuota had unbleached black hair and better styling. I'm sure he looks better and match better with the gorgeous Noaya.

Yes, a few favourite BL of mines in the last few years have been Japanese. I think the industry is also getting more good looking actors to compete with Thai and Korean productions. That Naoya guy is YUMMY! He looks like the younger, cool version of Kurosawa from Cherry Magic.

@JT100 I've just finished "To Each His Own" and still would like to thank you for bringing up the film. That is a beautiful film ! While the office scenes are depressing and hard to watch with all the shouting, the messages are powerful about life outside the toxic corporate world and how most parents are ultimately our beloved.

It's a pity you didn't watch Restart with subtitles, you can google the full title + bilibili . It is life affirming and very heart warming film and a happy ending!

I guess some BL needs advertising to fund their production so I am ok with it as long as it is not too intrusive or in your face.

I worked only 3 months in a Panasonic factory in my country 20 years ago but I could see some similar corporate culture in this film; strict working hours (penalty for lateness), open plan office with boss sitting in front of everyone, morning exercise and position based on seniority. Most of the Japanese staff from Japan office have worked for more than 10 years or so in the company. It is no wonder not surprising if you quit a job too soon, the next company may not hire you in Japan.

I couldn't stand working in that monotonous corporate culture and experienced a complete change when I worked for an American PC assembly factory (Gateway 2000) where I worked happily for a few years, before moving overseas to be with my ex boyfriend.

Anyway, the actions of the boss would have got him and the company a lot of lawsuits in the US and probably exaggerated with those beating and kicking. I am not surprised though with the pressure one could experience in a sales company.

Some people think given more budget and longer episodes, the series would definitely be better. I'm doubtful cos the scripts have been bad and full of clichés, longer episodes will make a bigger mess. We just stayed till the end to see our hot leads, any longer will be bigger waste of time.

@se0ulmate The reason I label him "supposedly straight" is because in episode 1, when he was a bar tender, his colleagues said he was good at "handling the ladies" and later on there was a scene of him fxxking a lady customer. Showing Thakhun straight porn is also another hint. There has been no scene or hint of him so far indicating he is attracted to Kinn, while we do get to see Kinn's lingering look at him.

I recently rewatched "Restart After Come Home" as I was fed up with many BL dramas I dropped including a few Thai BL with many childhood flashbacks! I remember this movie has powerful messages to merit rewatch.

True enough, one of the most powerful scenes is Yamato's lady friend's explanation of his constant smiling to conceal his damaged soul. Without showing flashback of him being bullied or abandoned by parents, the scene really gets me. That's what a great movie or series should be, they don't only show us BL theme but ability to give us something to take away; be it a life lesson or something to think about.

KBL has also been overrated so far simply with their popular Kidol looks which I often don't find them attractive. Too much make up or plastic surgery! I have many korean customers in Malaysia and been to Korea, I recognise some faces are not natural! Anyway, storytelling wise in KBL, there have not been many great pieces, although they are not as riduclous as Thai ones. Semantic Error is enjoyable but hardly any scenes memorable except the look of the leads.

@seoulmate I agree, the kissing at the end just makes no sense, at least for Porsche who has not liked Kinn so far and supposedly still straight. You could be more adventurous and uninhabited when drunk but not suddenly turning gay! A straight man may let another man jerk him off or get blowjob, when drunk, but french kissing is usually more intimate than those.

The nerdy guy shirtless dancing scene is the only one that held my attention. I thought this episode was just awful. Thakhun has shown the worst fashion sense in BL world and still acts like a big katoey. Why did so many bodyguards get wasted in a public club, they could have got themselves killed by rival mafias.

Gay people like us need to criticise a bad series so they don't mass produce to capitalise on unreasonable BL craze. Many of you have totally no clue what the real lgbt world is by watching these fantasy filled, fan service galore, quick buck productions!
