how many screewriter for this drama lol, i thinking about following the screenwriter that write the bromance part…
Christina oh christina, a big BL lover. Have you seen the Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain? It is very funny but not everyone cup of tea and the BL was the strongest and funniest so far I have seen.
Definitely sad but it’s China. Can’t fight the communist craziness. Wish Taiwan had money to make these gay…
I think you get confused between gay themed and BL, the latter of which is the trend created for fujoshi. East Asia does produce gay themed films (not TV series) since the 90s but it has limited target audience like the US in the 80s and 90s.
BL dramas mostly cater for women and some gay men like me. Fushojis don't like the harsh reality of sexual gay themed films while SJW (I think they are mostly from the west, especially the US) can't take unconsensual kiss or obsessive lovers. This is one of the reasons many hate Addicted, and Like Love (China) before the ban and many Japanese ones like My Beautiful Man, the Novelist and one of my favourites; The Dangerous Drugs of Sex (haha)!
I mostly watch Japanese for BL these days as they don't use the lame line 'I never like men but only you' and accidental fall and kiss.

Hong Kong has an ongoing web drama called HeHe & He, up to season 3.
Hong Kong gay movies have always been depressing with suicide or death at the end for years. More depressing but realistically, the houses are always so small, I feel claustrophobic watching their movies. I don't think rejoining China make much difference in its movie industry.
Taiwan has many gay dramas but their stories are mostly terrible and acting is embarrassing with few exceptions like some HIStory series.
Damn, the episodes are too short! Up to episode 3, I really like this drama, it is realistically gay themed (infidelity of one ML and their talks on sex) rather than BL from other asian countries, many of which do more fan service than being realistic.
No silly comic moments with lame sound effects, no accidental falls and staring endlessly into each other. The end credit song is really worth downloading! I want more JL please!
I don't know who was making the noodles in episode 11 but I could tell even Song Weilong was breaking out of character…
That guy later turns out to be the emperor whom I also don't recognise due to the difference in costume and mannerism when he has daily audience with the courtiers.
I just hope they are not step brothers or that kind of usual setup.... ahhh... let us dream a bit
Even they were half brothers, it would be some Asian fujoshis' dream couple. Remember Addicted Heroin (2016) and HIStory 2: Crossing The Line (2018)? Incest is less of an issue for half siblings in real gay world because there is no inbreeding, lol
After some dark episodes, Zhang Ping asks guards to turn a blind eye to his entry and suggests them to go for dinner. The guard uses hand signal for bribery, Zhang Ping asks, do you want money? 🤣
Here we go again! Once you start episode 11, you can't stop binge watching, this drama is so far very well paced; relaxing and often funny moments before the cliff hanger by end of each episode!
I know this technically isn't a dangai, but the show is pretty much looking like a gorgeous, expensive, and high…
With Jin Boran's dreamy eyes and detective Wang's protective caring stares, the bromance vibes are so strong, even SWL wooden acting cannot deny them. 😁
Tags are saying bromance but Lan Jue’s melty eyes whenever he looks at Zhang Ping say something else. And the…
JBL has such soulful eyes and beautiful facial expressions, he could convey bromance even with SWL's stiff acting but thanks to his handsome face, they are a good match 😁

Jin Boran on the other hand shows so many mini expressions in his mansion after he manages to stop SWL being executed. 😘
