In the first sight of Zhan Yu at the bus stop (1st episode), FL was obviously intrigued by his good look; he is really cute and innocent looking as commented by some viewers here. She treated him as a brother however due to their age difference. Zhan Yu's hard work and care for his mother did not make his dark side obvious and only ML knew his drug dealing being undercover and extortion from "sex" on the first episode.

If you are sick of the dual perspectives of storytelling, it will end on episode 14 and the rest of the series (40 in total) will be in present timeline.

In the novel, Zhan Yu was killed because Feng was in love with him and couldn't stand him selling his body around. You read that right, Feng was gay in the novel! As such inclination is banned by China's drama review board, the script writer has a different explanation for the murder. The drama did not attempt to hide the clues after the wedding shoot with Feng's creepy smile at FL image. Its last few episodes are not making us guess with 'whodunit' (this is not a full on suspense thriller drama) but how the good guys could find evidence to catch him.

Unfortunately, you are right but do continue to watch as there will be more details and twists that still make it a good drama.

Most gripes about the series are about the repeated "rape and assault" of Gu Hai and the "incestuous relationship".

As a guy who went through similar experiences in teenage years, I can tell you many straight boys in high school have played with their mates touching and grabbing the private part as teasing. We do not consider it as rape or assault unless there is forced intercourse / fellatio or body injury. If you want to be a moral police, perhaps you should also not watch BL story which can also be considered "abnormal" for some people.

As for the incestuous part, both did not know they are half brothers until the climatic revelation. By that time, Gu Hai was already so in love so he was willing to overlook it. Unlike straight incestuous sex which can result in pregnancy, brotherly or twin love gives some people unique fantasy among LGBT so the writer took this path. The similar step brothers' love in HIStory 2: Crossing the Line, was very popular, at least among Asian viewers. They are so sweet and adorable !

I can tell you it is not Yan Jin and many people will kinda know by late episodes 20s.

Don't be ridiculous, a 13-16 years old Chinese girl does not look like the FL! Her face definitely is over 18 from a Chinese point of view. She might have looked like a teenager especially when standing next to ML in a long shot because the height difference (164cm vs 180cm). ML is taller than average man which is about 171cm in China.

Calm down! It is just a comedy drama. I am not sure which C Drama actually has characters with incestuous relationship as it is a taboo in Chinese culture. The closest relative you could marry is maternal cousin (other culture allow paternal cousin) and people with the same surname usually have to check that they are not related.

Based on the costumes I have seen so far, it should be based on the Ming dynasty (AD 1368 to 1644). What made you curious about this? It is romantic comedy so even their dialogues and jokes are not historically relevant.

I would like to watch it! Sorry to see the lack of response, possibly due to holiday season on top of its low popularity. I wonder why the latter. I notice many romantic romp coms have higher viewership here such as Dating In The Kitchen or Skate Into Love among the many Cdrama I gave up because I couldn't stand the annoying FL characters. I don't usually rewatch dramas but To Love managed to make me revisit its episodes as I really enjoy the setting, pacing and characters

Most likely subbers are busy with Xmas and year end. You may get more after new year. Viki also has not uploaded new CDrama lately.

A lot of viewers griped about her impulsive act on that episode but it is also in tune with her impulsive trashing of the drug lord's office (smashing the laptop) as well as her several confrontations with Yan Jin for cheating and drug addiction in early part of the drama.

As it is based on a novel which has really tragic ending (2 main female characters die at the end), this drama has been re-scripted so no good people are killed off. There was already a lot of lovey dovey scenes in late episode 20 to early 30 that I was constantly worried something bad would happen much sooner.

Ideally, since the director was willing to change the script a bit, a brief face to face reunion of the main leads would have pleased a lot more viewers, what a pity!

It is not a sad ending but you need to watch till the credit rolls. It is also not the usual happy ending where both leads smile to the camera and live happily ever after.

The Chinese version of YoYo Channel (see link below) has several language options (Thai, Tagalog, French, etc) except English and uploaded up to episode 21. The translation I checked on Malay & Indonesian (which I know of besides Chinese and English) is a bit off though.

YS will be arrested for obstruction of justice and YJ will still be the suspect until the last few episodes. Let me just spoil that he is not the perpetrator; he is ultimately a hero and an endearing husband who loves the FL till the end of the series.

I recommend you to continue watching the drama and enjoy the subtle revelation of the real perpetrator of both murders.
