I have not finished watching many Taiwanese dramas because I cannot stand the acting, cinematography and accent although the accent is cute and pleasant to hear in real life. As a Chinese Malaysian, I prefer the standard Mandarin spoken in China, :-P
Furthermore, Taiwan does not have the budget (small market base) and filming location for period dramas like the Hengdian World Studios in China.
There are hundreds of uncensored BL dramas from Thailand, Taiwan and Philippines for those who want to see at least a kiss or physical intimacy, China dramas just offer different vibes and styles although we do hope they will become more and more open to BL theme. No communist countries including Russia and Vietnam I have visited have allowed BL acceptance in their society yet.
Simon Gong has secured the number 1 spot in one of the chinese star chart. Congratulations! I hope he stays for a few weeks. It's a long time anyone could unseat Xiao Zhan in the chart, haha. https://www.163.com/dy/article/G5AJ4SN1054450X5.html

Love is More Than A Word is really a BL drama but the clamp down during that time made the series seem incomplete and rushed like Advance bravely. It is easy watching as it is web drama with low budget production and unknown actors.
Men of Sword 1 & 2 have a few future stars there but the story is not strong. It's so obviously BL but the script writer didn't know how to play with censorship like WOH.
I'm watching Advance Bravely for gong jun fix but also started the Heaven Official's Blessing anime for the costume-bl…
This drama OUATLM may not be for everyone cos the FL is crazy as hell; you either find her funny or OTT. Xu Kai keeps flirting with the second ML for fun but it's so sweet and funny. The ending makes some people angry cos the FL suddenly fell in love with the ML to close the drama which I think they just want to pass censorship. Watch the following trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiVXW7ClSLY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpuDMfC0Wpk (Avenue X's review)
I really like WOH's opening song. Like I never skip it because the instrumental is good but I still agree with…
I didn't say it was bad that they use plain stir fry vege and roast chicken (cheapest meat) but funnily frugal. Many big productions do indeed use real expensive dishes (chinese can tell) and the actors never actually eat them.

I like Ancient Detective, it's a proper bromance and Once Upon A Time at Linying Mountain where the bromance is almost gay, haha. They only have FL romance toward the end of the series, so you have plenty bromance throughout.

I applaud the cost saving measure taken by WOH team. In two scenes at the dining table, they used the same 5 plain stir fry vegetable and one roast chicken dishes and Simon Gong said "I've ordered a table of great dishes for you", haha! Also first time hearing a prodcution team waiting for actual rain to shoot the scene cos artificial rain is more costly, :-P
On the other hand this rule about shooting shorter series is helpful in keeping them focused and there's less…
It's better to have a perfectly paced drama than one that drags and disappoint towards the end. Don't worries about feeling void after WOH ends, there is Immortality, The Society of 4 Leaves (Jing Boran!) and The Winner is King all hopefully to be released consecutively by summer!
While I enjoy WOH more than TU, one thing the latter did it right was paying enough for the creation of Wu Ji, the theme song, which when performed with flute or erhu, is the instant classic and a masterpiece. Word of Honor has decent OST but they lack the perpetual melocholy of Wuji or the goosebump inducing song of the Ashes of Love, Upward To The Moon.
Many TU fans will cry whenever they hear that music score of Wuji! It shows how powerful music score could be and worth investing to create instant classic!
Little WKX actor is played by the same kid who portrayed the second brother on go ahead! So cute ☺️ honestly…
Yes, I love the kid who played little Zhi Qui in Go Ahead. He has such a pinch-able face with big round eyes. Gong Jun is super gorgeous in this drama. You will continue to see a wide range of emotions from him up to current airing episodes, he is really viral now.
I went into this one with doubts about a few things:-Gong Jun playing the active role instead of the passive-Zhang…
Don't worry, there are a lot of sweet moments in coming episodes such as epdisode 12 although there will be a lull around 15-16 for the wulin fights. Very gay and intimate already in episode 18, ?!
I’ve watched 13 episodes raw and I have to say each episode is getting better and better. My first BL drama…
As a gay man who enjoy good BLs (but fussy), I couldn't get into the Untamed either after several tries mainly because of the messy story telling and many male characters are too femininely dressed and portrayed, it becomes embarrassing to watch. Most gay men don't like to be portrayed as effeminate. Word of Honor started off shaky in first episode but gets better and better. At episode 13, I could not wait to see what's happening next!
ahhh i finished ep 8 and i sense a little angst coming in ep 9 and 10
Don't worry, it is just temporary. They will hit the sweetest spot in episode 12 (reason for rating jumping from 8.2 to 8.5). Episode13 is the latest episode those of us who don't need subtitle can watch. Can't wait for 14 tonight!
Zhao Tinghui is incredibly hot. Thick head, yes, but don't we get such character in real life sometimes? Be it in school, at work, or with law enforcement who keep pestering you for no good reason?
