If you watch the video posted by sony t 2 posts below, you will have more to remember this drama by, :-(About…
I think you refer to what we call music score/BGM which can sometimes be mixed up with OST that may be songs. Here is one I find on youtube. All music scores start from 19:52 mins onward. I don't find the music score you like cos it was a short one and I am a sucker for good music score such as TU's instructmental version of Wuji. This one sounds like a western music score though. Usually, Cdrama doesn't release music scores unless they are very popular or well known.

Hahahaha! Ian needs to stop acting in bls cuz he is always..... I am sure you guys can fill in the gaps ...damn…
He is already in yet another drama with two male leads, but it's more of bromance, each with their own female interest. The two of them are however the CP in Men of Sword, isn't it weird?

The Female lead is ruining this drama for me big time ,, she's so obnoxious and really irritating that I can't…
Haha, nice to see you here. This FL also ruins another drama Shuke and Peach Blossom for me which is a pity because the ML is also such a cutie pie like ML here.

I enjoyed this drama back in 2017 and come back here to check out ZZH (WoH) and Wang Yan Yang (Ancient Detective) whom I would call the macho version of Xiao Zhan.

I liked this drama a lot probably because understanding Mandarin helped me to focus more on their line delivery and emotions especially during the four episodes when main leads went undercover in the Guest House / Inn.

Wow, a very sweet ending instead! I think they might have shot this ending previously but edited it out in fear…
Men of Sword is an unusual literally all male period drama. The first few episodes could be confusing and slow as there were many BL pairing and about war politics. There is no happy ending and worse still in season 2, so I would only recommend if you have free time and like to see some of the cast who later become bigger stars in recent years. Ian role is split between 4-5 BL pairing so not significant but still leave you impression.

Someone uploaded the alternative ending on Youtube though no eng https://youtu.be/wsYcgRABKX4
Wow, a very sweet ending instead! I think they might have shot this ending previously but edited it out in fear of disapproval by the censor board. As explained by some for WoH, if happy ending between two men was presented to the board, the drama might get banned totally. Anyway, here are some lines I can intepret after he wakes up from the dream.

"Oh, it was just a dream!" Walking into his office, he says to himself, "I definitely will make the city opium free". -- Half month later, Zhan Jun Bai was captured.--

People greets him good morning on the street. Both of them meet and walk along the street, "Seeing the city goes back to its original state, our efforts have not been fruitless," JYL says. CYZ smiles, "Isn't that the life you want?"

JYL sighs, "It's been half a month...". "Yes" CYZ replies quickly and changes subject, "What do you want to eat for the lantern festival?" "Sweet dumpling soup, of course!" JYL cheers up immediately, "That dumpling stall serves this soup every year for this festivity, let's go there!"

After the lady serves them the soup, ZYL says, "Whether it is sunny or when it snows, enjoying the nature as much as possible will uplift your mood." CYZ agrees"These small comforts are indeed not bad, aren't they?"

They continue to talk without dialogues as OST takes over. "The city is already opium free, accompany to my hometown to watch sunset," CYZ invites JYL who quickly replies, "Sure!".

OMG, if this ending has not been cut, the drama would not have lost quite some potential viewers! JYL is damn dreamy with his eyes. CYZ is cute but he has never brought out that true love graze. This was the same from his previous BL drama, Men with Sword.

While I'm waiting for episode 19 to be subtitled, I'm rewatching the first few min of Nirvana in Fire so I can…
I think this drama brings out one of the best of make up, hairdo and costume for Wuxia genre.
WKX is such a sign of stunning beauty.

Many gorgeous idols got ruined by bad hair style such as cutie pie Lee Xian (Sword Dynasty), Xu Kai (Dance of the Sky Empire) and Yang Yang (Martial Universe) to name a few.

Yeah I feel they should just allow flexibility in dialogues !! I don't still understand what's wrong with bl ??…
When there is a hate crime attack, the law enforcement here will treat it as an attack be it for whatever reason, if unprovoked. You can google "LGBT rights in China" and learned that opposition to homosexuality might have started from westernization in the 19 century. In Singapore and Malaysia, the discriminating laws were the legacy of British common laws. The latter has not tried to change them as Islamic party has made its way into the governing coalition and you know what they are like.

It is not true that China and Malaysia actively prosecute gay people. The latter has only done so to frame a politician to get rid of him. I mentioned Indonesia (excluding Acheh) because I have been to Bali and Jakarta's gay avenue many times and did not face any issues. Of course, just like Malaysia, the influence of that particular religious group will continue to affect "non-believer" group of people but we will not give in easily.

Basically in East Asia, we can live normally like everyone else as long as you don't flaunt your affection in public. Because it just takes a few bad people to create a backlash against your lifestyle just like the American tourist Kristen Gray did in Bali.

Bali has been one of the friendliest and gay friendly destination for me, I even feel embarrassed when I checked into our villa by the host with a king size bed for me and my partner with decorative flowers or when I arranged romantic dinner inside the villa. The host and workers never make any unusual expressions and treatment to us. I will however not promote to general public that there are quite many gay avenues in Bali to attract unnecessary attention from religious people.

Wow, thank you so much for replying to me and took your time to share your family's details, it's very much appreciated. Your sons are lucky to have an understanding and supportive mother.

It's great the surrounding churches did not make him self loathing and try to change his inclination. My closest gay friend of 50 years of age had a complete change of lifestyle when he felt his sister's praying for him during his heart attack was a calling from God. From being non religious like me, he later got baptized by the church of Baptism and completely shut down his sexuality. He said he would devoted his life to serving God such as participating in church activities, spreading God's love and matchmaking straight church members. It was funny when he completely got rid of his much beloved Madonna, Erasure CD collection and passed all gay movie/drama collections to me. Now I only talk to him without mentioning anything related to sex and that previous lifestyle.

If your son has a chance, he should have no fear visiting East Asia as people here don't bother you and barge into your private life as long as you avoid very Muslim region such as Brunei and Acheh.

Can someone tell me, how come WKZ became ZZ junior in the series? In the book they never make any reference between…
Yes, Kat was right. The script writer added in their connection so that WKX did not just follow ZZS around because he was captivated by his beauty. ZZS is also portrayed in the drama as sympathetic and missing his junior so that their later intimacy did not appear out of ordinary.

I believe South Korea has so far released mostly mini series in limited platforms due to crazy popularity of Asian BL dramas; just look at how many Thai and Filipino BL dramas released in last two years.

There is still no full BL series from South Korea for the wider audience as homosexuality is still frown upon in the country. Having one the lowest birth rate of under 0.9 in the world doesn't help the country in promoting homosexuality, I think.

I hope we can have a calm and respectful exchange of opinions here. As a gay man (non Muslim) living in Malaysia, I am fine without recognition of gay rights and prefer to keep my private life to myself and certain circle of friends.

For some straight men and some straight women, accepting homosexuality is one thing seeing them kissing and flaunting physical intimacy is another thing most prefer not to see. What's more, such tendency is against nature's law which can be tolerated for human diversity but not promoted, otherwise, we will mess up our world's population, haha!

When I lived in London for 4 years some years ago, the freedom of sexuality might be great but also drew more unwanted trouble. I was almost attacked a few times just because my English dates thought we were free to hold hand in public; we didn't even kiss. While many western countries have legalized homosexuality, there were still attacks and even terrorism previously in those night clubs and avenues. I have visited 46 European countries over the years (loved old historic countries) and believe France is a great country in term of its cultures and open mindedness, except certain religious group of people.

I have not experienced any dangers in all East Asia gay avenue including Malaysia, China and Indonesia where people like us (aka PLU) don't flaunt our sexuality outside the avenue.

I believe in all Communist countries, homosexuality is frown upon, not only in China but in Russia and Vietnam as well which I have visited. I have visited China more than 10 times and could speak the language. For a country with such huge population, some of its stringent but progressive rules have developed the country by leaps and bounds while other developing countries with over 100 millions population are in a bigger and bigger mess including India, Nigeria and Brazil.

I used to watch many American and European gay films but they become a mess of drug and cheats after the quick sex so it's refreshing to see gay love simmering in Asia dramas.

Wow, Youku definitely saw the potential for profit there based on the popularity of the drama. The direct stream yesterday afternoon has 6k viewers at peak, with viewers spanning all over the world including Africa, Latin America and Scandinavia which I didn't expect, based on the live chat comments.

Can't get over the FL's weird action. Maybe I'm nitpicking but it really ruins the character for me. Episode 1…
I think the boy is cute and stands out among the crowd at the bus stop, hence the FL checks him out. There could be more explanation in the book for that scene with inner thought. How many older women go crazy over all those young fresh Asian idols online? But it does not mean they want these guys as their lover or husband.
