In episode 9, Shenyi seemed to have taken the role of a female lead and the detective being so protective of our delicate and petite beauty makes me smile ☺

Wow, Tan jia Ci is beautiful in this drama. I first noticed his good look in Secret of Three Kingdom but in this drama he has drawn in more fans by reading comment session here and douban.
It is no wonder he was cast in Winner is King as he really gives BL vibes with his delicate facial features and gentle mannerism, at least in this drama.

Watching this for a second time finally. I was so freaked out/traumatized by the first watch that it's taken me…
@forthymix. Haha. I agree with you, I was wary many times Xi Gu's bones will break, even during sex. I like the sex scenes are as close to realistic as possible without being seen like a soft porn. Many BL dramas showing two teenage or young adult guys could just kiss and hugs for a long time in a private room, forgetting the fact that male's testosterone and hard on will at least make us want to rub against each other body or jerk off.

"I am gay only for someone" is a common excuse told to friends so that they won't be alarmed they could also be your love interests. During the early aids pandemic (80 & 90s), many boys would not want to be seen as gays as they were afraid of getting aids.

The last episode of this series seems very off, not only because of the death but the tone and reason of death (dying of illness is more plausible) are not well transited. Several years ago in the US, a gay man fell to his death from the roof top while taking selfie is a reminder that sudden death of your partner is possible and the resulting grief of his partner was apparent from his Youtube video. Worse still, the deceased's family approval , he was not allowed to attend his funeral!

All in all, I would still rate this series highly as it avoided many BL tropes and advise those, who cannot handle death of a lead in drama, to stop at the penultimate episode.

Title The Tuxedo
I laughed at your sentence "hope he dies and never gets his man", haha! Chap is hot as hell with his Eurasian…
I'm from Malaysia which is a country below Thailand (been several times) and has mostly similar weather except our temperature and humidity are almost the same throughout the year (25-33 from night to day). Here you will sweat immediately wearing a suit in open air just by standing still or indoor without a fan.

During the hottest time in April in Bangkok, the day time temperature could even reach 40 degree which is why there is a traditional Songkran festival where people splashing water at each other.

Winter season in Thailand is considered a cool season (Nov to Feb), with average daytime temperatures slightly under 30°C (75F) and night time temperature of 18°C (65F). While suit is not uncommon in cool season, tie will make it very uncomfortable as it is not a windy city.

Sigh. After his small role in Something In My Room, Green was catapulted into my favorite BL actors category,…
I laughed at your sentence "hope he dies and never gets his man", haha! Chap is hot as hell with his Eurasian look and lean body, but man, do they have to make his character so obnoxious and rude for no reason? I agree the accidental kiss is beyond ridiculous, no young man (unless knowingly gay) get a MALE masseur and did not question why would a masseur come in wearing suit.

It seems this series and Cutie Pie try to create a luxury setting as seen in Korean dramas but Thailand is a very humid and warm country, suit and tie are only worn for photography session or very special occasion. You will be covered in sweat the minute you are outside the air conditioned room.

Title Addicted
Agree - a lot of fans only like to watch cute boys being cute to each other - if any characters have any human…
Wow, that was a very young sex encounter and surprised you could still remember things from that age, lol. I had my first gay sex with my younger cousin when I was 13 and he was 10. Both of us were still not married after 30 years old but we are still embarrassed to talk about those numerous encounters when we meet in gathering with relatives. If either my or your encounter make into a part of a series/drama's storyline , SJW will come out in force to call it rape, underage or incestuous sex, haha!

@Jpny01, Well said! As a gay man fully aware and not in denial of my orientation since puberty, I experienced such fondling and saw some of my classmates masturbating with their close friends when we reached puberty.

Except a few of us, most others who played with friends' private part and fondling (no kissing, oral or more) went on to lead normal live of straight men especially once they had a chance to court with girls. We were in an all boy school in a small town in Malaysia, so the odd is high such thing happen in other countries and cultures as well.

Love your views on this film. I believe a film or series could only be called classic or masterpiece if there…
Sorry, is there a series named His: WIL? Or did you mistype ad still refer to His, the movie. Some Japanese BL titles are confusing with numerous names or have prequel and sequel with very different titles. They might as well put 1, 2, 3 so people won't miss any of them due to confusion.

Quiet, unassuming, patient to tell its story in a slow but steady manner. The slow-motion reunion of the lovers…
Love your views on this film. I believe a film or series could only be called classic or masterpiece if there is some life lesson to learn or message to deliver. Being cutesy with gorgeous couple falling in love without any clever script do not make them a masterpiece like many short Korean or Thai series produced in recent years. Classic BL series (made for fangirls), ok but not a masterpiece or best film/series of all time as you may have seen with reviews for Bad Buddy or To My Star.

Ahhh...just one of the best damn BLs out there. Third watch and I'm still finding new aspects and depth; always…
Haha, I was wondering what you thought about this film and here you are! Love this one as it is my kind of films where people talk softly and sensibly without screaming for no reason and set in beautiful countryside. I like it that we get to see how society, legal system and child upbringing are also shown here like the 2007 US gay themed film Shelter.

I couldn't finish SOTUS even it was lauded as the best BL of all time by fangirls during its first few years. I have been annoyed by most Thai BL with too many unnecessary side characters and side stories and the trope of main couple hating each other initially and plotting tricks until they fall in love.

China's Third Country would have been much better without the death or suicide ending, sigh! When will some of these BL/LGBT film makers worldwide (many LGBT European / US film also have tragic ending) learn Romeo & Juliet ending is only warranted with great storytelling. Many Chinese (including Taiwan and Hong Kong) filmmakers might have been influenced by the classic literature called Butterfly Lovers, resulting in their tendency to write sad ending for straight and gay relationships.

I think it has a good heart at its center, but yeah, everything else is extremely amateur-ish. Kind of like Bad…
@FrothyMix, Yes, it is a Hollywood film that was based on true events that must not be missed by LGBT persons to appreciate friendships, family and lover relationship. It's not the story of the Aids epidemic that was overdone for that era, so give it a try. Some religious persons of that era disliked the suicide plotline, hence the low rating . Anyway, the movie may be confusing on first viewing with many guest roles and side stories but I enjoyed more and more with subsequent viewings. Try to look for a HD version cos the one on youtube is not HD. I bought the original DVD.

I broke down and watched episode 8. Actually this is the best you can hope for from China. This is a watered down…
@Diva70, this series is simply poorly made, it is not a film made for CCP anti gay propaganda, and so is Addicted, which was not made to deliver anti gay message, it just tells a story that was half told due to censorship.

While there have been series or films made to promote patriotism or celebration of the 100 year of CCP formation and broadcast on national TV, these BL series are independent productions made for web broadcast. I am a Chinese Malaysian and have visited China for holiday a dozen times, so I am not saying all these for being a CCP supporter.

China has decriminalized homosexuality for decades, the government just discourages promotion of LGBT lifestyle on TV. There are big community of LGBT and bars throughout the country and they do not have to go underground like in majority Muslim country like my country, Malaysia.

@FrothyMix, many SJW suck up the cutesy romance trope populating in most Thai & recent Korean dramas where boys look into each other's eyes and smile for many minutes. They will kiss and hug without urge for something more physical (not necessarily intercourse).

The meek boy in My Beautiful Man was being taken advantage of to buy drinks and snacks for the other boys and SJW accuses its unforgivable bullying! I think some of these SJW will become Karen in their middle age if they could only accept right or wrong to everything.

I have not seen the Playback sequel as I watched the other ones from Viki.com. Many people are asking in comment section of this movie in MDL as well, we shall wait. Mood Indigo is likely the best because the pairing of Kido and Kijima are so unexpected and their sex scenes are wild!

Since we are on the subject of LGBT films, have you seen the 1996 classic "It's My Party"? It is a favorite of mine although some people may need to watch it a few times due to many guest appearances.

I love Addicted because I experienced and had seen other classmates of mine doing the same thing like Gu Hai to Luo Yin (fondling and touching) during our puberty (10-14 years old) during class recess or overnight trips, when some boys were curious about close friend's puberty as well. Most of these boys would later turn out to be straight once they had the chance to court with ladies and didn't think about those acts anymore.

About dubious consent that many SJW trash the series, some boys actually enjoy the pushing and slapping (on the hands) as willingly to be fondled and touched would make themselves appear to be actually gay. If Luo Yin really didn't want Gu Hai to be near him, he could physically stay away from him. Just like some friends like to tease each other as being annoying but cannot stand the absence of such teasing.

I had the chance to visit Beijing years ago and those hutong houses and alleys were some of the best sights of the city.

I don't think FrothyMix just dislikes BB for the lack of sex scenes as I have seen his review on a Chinese BL series (Precise Shot) that has none of that but filled with BL hints instead.

It's just that real gay couple don't stare at each other's eyes and smile for 5 minutes or more and then just kiss. They could just have sex (not necessarily right away after falling in love) without intercourse but holding on for weeks with just kissing is unrealistic for male lovers.

I believe many of these BL (not LGBT) fans are SJW & teenagers living in the west because comments in Douban (chinese review site) and youtube (in Chinese, Indonesian/Malay reviews) don't just look for consensual interactions and non toxic actions in all movies/series. Some of them might be Asian diasporas but they are likely to be prude and yet to have real sexual experiences.

Thanks to the info & link from this site, I have watched both the series and uncut version of Love On the Line. It's overall a moving and thought provoking story that deals positively on what will happen after the get-together, happy ending of other crowd-pleasing BL storylines. This series certainly brought me to tears as well.

I disdain slasher/vampire themed films as well and don't mind dark, boundary pushing ones if done with good themes/lesson learning intentions. Have you seen the Japanese Pornographer series (Mood Indigo) or My Beautiful Man (Utsukushi Kare) which has been down-voted by SJW for being toxic or approving bullying? Hong Kong has produced many dark and edgy LGBT movies but some of Scud's works are pretentious morbid shits.

When I saw the ravingreviews on Bad Buddy and here claiming it as masterpiece, I was shocked. Unfortunately, I cannot stand most of the Thai BL with silly jokes, sound effectand screaming queens and kings, many fangirls just suck up all the unreasonably lovey dovey non toxic BL tropes. I'd rather call some of the Japanese BL as masterpieces (such as Love on the line, he is beautiful). Have you seen 'dangerous addiction of sex' for something controversial ?
