I believe South Korea has so far released mostly mini series in limited platforms due to crazy popularity of Asian BL dramas; just look at how many Thai and Filipino BL dramas released in last two years.

There is still no full BL series from South Korea for the wider audience as homosexuality is still frown upon in the country. Having one the lowest birth rate of under 0.9 in the world doesn't help the country in promoting homosexuality, I think.

I hope we can have a calm and respectful exchange of opinions here. As a gay man (non Muslim) living in Malaysia, I am fine without recognition of gay rights and prefer to keep my private life to myself and certain circle of friends.

For some straight men and some straight women, accepting homosexuality is one thing seeing them kissing and flaunting physical intimacy is another thing most prefer not to see. What's more, such tendency is against nature's law which can be tolerated for human diversity but not promoted, otherwise, we will mess up our world's population, haha!

When I lived in London for 4 years some years ago, the freedom of sexuality might be great but also drew more unwanted trouble. I was almost attacked a few times just because my English dates thought we were free to hold hand in public; we didn't even kiss. While many western countries have legalized homosexuality, there were still attacks and even terrorism previously in those night clubs and avenues. I have visited 46 European countries over the years (loved old historic countries) and believe France is a great country in term of its cultures and open mindedness, except certain religious group of people.

I have not experienced any dangers in all East Asia gay avenue including Malaysia, China and Indonesia where people like us (aka PLU) don't flaunt our sexuality outside the avenue.

I believe in all Communist countries, homosexuality is frown upon, not only in China but in Russia and Vietnam as well which I have visited. I have visited China more than 10 times and could speak the language. For a country with such huge population, some of its stringent but progressive rules have developed the country by leaps and bounds while other developing countries with over 100 millions population are in a bigger and bigger mess including India, Nigeria and Brazil.

I used to watch many American and European gay films but they become a mess of drug and cheats after the quick sex so it's refreshing to see gay love simmering in Asia dramas.

It's not a sad ending, of you watch to the last scene, although it's not onvious.

Wow, Youku definitely saw the potential for profit there based on the popularity of the drama. The direct stream yesterday afternoon has 6k viewers at peak, with viewers spanning all over the world including Africa, Latin America and Scandinavia which I didn't expect, based on the live chat comments.

I think the boy is cute and stands out among the crowd at the bus stop, hence the FL checks him out. There could be more explanation in the book for that scene with inner thought. How many older women go crazy over all those young fresh Asian idols online? But it does not mean they want these guys as their lover or husband.

As the plot is about court case, of course the sister will be the focus point. After the case is settled, there will be some lovey dovey episodes of the leads, not to worry.

You will love him when he becomes a shipper later on. His acting towards the finale is also impressive.

Petition for Gong Jun and Mao Zi Jun in many BL dramas, their loving eyes and flirty moves are very convincing!

Youku is so proactive to its drama watchers that it has just uploaded the OST of WoH in YouTube. Much lauded effort by the platform!

In Douban, Simon Gong gets most of the praises for being stunningly beautiful and his great acting with soulful eyes; the finale where he has teary eyes is most unforgettable, I am with them. Here at MDL, many fall for ZZH for his redeeming qualities in second half of the series, I am not sure if this is due to difference in western values on subdue expressions and devotion.

Next I would applaud Ah Xiang for her acting in the finale which was heart breaking. Cheng Ling also impressed me in the last two episodes with his teary eyes, this young man is only 15 years old and is so adorable.

I think you have mixed up the two sites and scores. Douban rating of WoH has not changed at 8.6 but rating users have been increasing so no problem there. I highlighted the issue was with MDL where the number of rating users have been at 1371 for days, of course the rating has been 8.8 unchanged.

Based on the overwhelming good reviews on the last episode, the rating should increase over the next week like Hikaru No Go. The strange thing is here at MDL, there has been no additional rating in the last few days for this drama. I think more people will vote as some will start to binge watch when all episodes are subbed.

I don't know why so many Cdrama producers still have not learned, if you're going to have a sad ending without good explanation, might well not make the drama. It's going to upset a lot of people unless you have a Romeo and Juliet poignancy.

I noticed nobody had rated the drama for the last few days as it has been stuck at 1371 users. What happened? No more new watchers in the last few days? Still waiting for the last 4 episodes to be uploaded......

Thanks for the video, there are hardly anything spoken so nothing to sub. Few subtitle pops up on the screen, more like humour, 1.) Rehearsal time, 2.) Protecting (covering) him fully, 3.) The technician holding the flame thinking, the director should smile 4.) See how fun my flame is. 5.) Cheng Yuzhi wasn't bothered by the flame. 6.) Some powerful acting!

I have been watching bits and pieces of K & H as I am not a fan of republican dramas (except Decoded which has ZZS there!) like many other people, hence the less popularity of the show.
BTW, JYL looks like the more mascho older brother of Yang Yang, haha! His eyes and small gestures are even more suggestive than WKX. Imagine both of them in this drama as a couple! He looks fantastic in the coming BL period drama " The story of Bat"

It's a pity this hot guy hasn't caught a break. He does really look like the masculine and muscular version of Xiao Zhan. First noted him in Decoded as the quiet but tall and handsome comrade.

There are already 60 over BL adaptions in China since last year and more are coming due to unexpected success of WoH. I think by summer we will have at least 3-4 BL adaptions period drama due to yearly quota for such period drama. Later half of the year may see more contemporary BL dramas.

I do not foresee China lifting the ban on actual BL anytime soon due to communist stand on social values but you can get plenty of true BL from Taiwan, Philippines and Thailand, even South Korea is jumping on the bandwagon now.
