Sorry. I was a bit insensitive to your love for NIF. I get it. We all have that one drama or actor/actress that we love and protect. I don't know what you're going through or how you're feeling. I don't want to stress you out either. We're strangers and I think that's the last thing I want to leave behind in these short lived convos is a bitter or sour taste. Anyway, I expressed my opinion because there's still a small minority that actually doesn't like NIF and ended up enjoying this drama instead but it doesn't mean NIF is bad or this one is great, they're different dramas that hit at different times to different people. And by the way, I'm not a Xiao Zhan fan. I'm actually a Hu Ge fan. But even then, I don't have to like everything that Hu Ge is in. And I'm sharing that tidbit about myself because you can't always assume certain things about people.

Any novel readers lurking around right now? It's a happy ending in the book but is Wei Shao an emperor at the end? Gahhh, emperors are no bueno. Don't ever want him to have a harem. Lol

I think he will. He already got it in Episode 19 but per the teasers for the next episodes, he's stopping himself from falling for her cuz it's betraying his family and state. To marry for political purposes is one thing but to really fall for a Qiao girl....it's another whole story. Poor Wei Shao. It's like he doesn't want to be happy because to be so is not remembering his loved ones.

I'm soooo living for the humor in the past few episodes. Wei Shao thrived on hate, war, and trauma, so it's understandable he's clueless when it comes to women. Wei Shao is flawed, that's the beauty of this drama.

I love all the generals. They're so cute in their own way. Even the mayors are funny.

Da Qiao chose the RIGHT man. Bizhi is one of kind who loves his wife so much.

The last time I laughed this much was the The Starry Love and that drama wrecked me towards the end when the characters started dying one by one. I hope that's not the case here. But the build up of the characters, the humor, the pace...they create such a beautiful story then boom, tragedy! It's gonna hurt. I'm not ready.

Wei Liang giving his gold weapon to Xiao Tao? The story and meaning behind it is quite sad...so I hope it's not foreshadowing something.

NIF was very boring for me although I really liked HG. This one is way more interesting in my opinion.
