The production companies have no one to blame but themselves for the fall of their dramas. The majority of dramas I’ve watched are pretty bad. The storylines are either very bad, the acting is mediocre, no chemistry amongst the cast, or it starts off okay then there’s less and less of the leads, but more promotions of other people and always a rushed or unsatisfactory ending when so much time was spent on nonsense. There’s very few dramas in between that are truly good. That’s what I don’t understand is, the crew invests so much of their time and efforts in making a dream drama to fall apart with too much red tape, politics, and people to please that the overall aired drama is so crappy like Fox Spirit Matchmaker. I watch the BTS and making of the dramas and they work so hard just to get robbed in the editing room or someone had an amateur as the writer, probably with connections. These companies buy a novel and never adapt it well. Yes, there could be changes due to censorship and all but not that drastic, right?
Anyway, just my rant. I miss Zhou Ye and seeing people, less and more famous than her film one drama after another, she could’ve filmed two by now, it makes me worry.

I am too. I was already so thrilled when I first saw the cast for this drama. She's been smart with her leading role choices. The drama with Hong Yi looks promising too.
I hope ZWY can rest assure now that he can do comedy. It was a lot of pressure on him to try comedy when people don't find him funny in the industry. What a great actor.🎉 If it wasn't for him as CXZ, I don't think CXZ would be this colorful and cute!❤️

I think we'll all handle the situation differently. I don't think it's wrong to have the leads patch up sooner. Story wise, yes, it's great to have the FL be upset for quite some time, but they could've done a time lapse with words like the whole change of emperor. 😂 Drama wise, it feels rather unnecessary to have the FL drift off for 14 episodes just to have them separate again after a few scenes in one episode of being together. The story is dragging quite a bit now.
