The angst wasn't good enough. Angst is what the short dramas do best now. 😂😂 People like drama so it's no surprise that the quiet Episodes 1-17 were not cherished. They were too slow for a lot of peeps. We're talking about a generation who believes The Double was the best drama ever where each episode was packed with drama and overflowing issues! That drama was always on the go and no water breaks in between. 😂😂

I'm sorry, I meant, she stabbed the nephew and the fake Cui Jiu with her hairpin. Something an ordinary girl wouldn't know how to do. 😂😂

I don't think the amnesia LMT was any way near submissive to CJ. She literally told him he's not her type, to have separate rooms, and to get a divorce TWICE. She went against him and pursued her dreams of entering the trade guild by her own methods. Just because she cooks, cleans, and welcomes him with a smile and hug? That makes her submissive? Umm...that's called liking someone and what women did back in those days and even now too. She called him out on so many things. She implicated his position as Lord Huaiyang many times. She questioned him for not caring about her when he showed no sympathy after she almost got assaulted and scolded him for pretending to support her but at crucial times, back out. She called him flaky then having no dignity for pleasing the rich. I don't think she was submissive at all which was a good thing. She had a brain and good balance in her heart. She found lots of faults in CJ but unlike the LMT now, she was a lot gentler and more graceful at handling his shortcomings. CJ had far more flaws than CXZ and the amnesia LMT still fell in love with him. Besides the lying part, CXZ is a really good catch. Unlike CJ, CXZ isn't lazy, knows how to fight, plays politics very well, cares too much for her, super intelligent, loyal to his country, and devoted to his family. That's why I really LOVED the amnesia LMT. Although there were many times she doubted, questioned, and didn't like CJ, but she always handled the issues so graciously with no time for pettiness, insult, and unkindness. She didn't let anyone dim her light.

I wanted to see more of the serious badass CXZ but nope.

You're right. There's no balance in between. That's why a lot of us have issues with the writing. The ML is so comedic yet the FL is so serious as if ML killed her entire family or something.😂

I think once you truly fall in love with someone, you fall in love with all of them. CXZ fell in love with LMT because no matter the hardships, she endured them all with him, never once complained or abandoned him. She did everything so he can rest. For the first time in his life, he can rely on someone, fall asleep with no worries, and know that the sun will rise again with her smile. As for the current LMT, I'm not sure...all this chasing but it's not like he didn't know that she's a good business woman or that she's fearless. She has stabbed many guys in front of him before with her amnesia. I would like to see more of LMT as LW that intrigues and impresses CXZ.

It's a pain waiting but worth it once you find a really good drama.

I adore JSM too! However, the previews gave me flashbacks of her movie, Love Reset, which she played a similar role and I didn't enjoy it that much. She's good at comedy like Alchemy of Souls but not exaggerated ones. I'll probably check it out later knowing me. 😂😂

Yeah, that part of the convo about never getting married or maybe finding a husband in the future to swearing that she'll never be with the ML is too much? Like when does it stop?! 😂😂 I was pretty much laughing too. When I first saw the trailer and thought this scene was going to be super cute. Oh, how wrong was I.🥴

The conversation between Ziyu and Xueji was actually pretty good in today's episode.

The words that CXZ says to LMT and the grandfather are pretty good too. However, I still find the whole situation of ML apologizing over and over again a bit redundant and unnecessary. It's a bit extreme to have the crippling ML, who is a lord by the way, get hit? Anyway, I won't watch episodes 17-30 ever again. I'm just waiting for episodes 31+. I hope they don't disappoint us.

Episode 26? You have 5-6 more episodes of the ML apologizing over and over for his lies, doing everything to get her forgiveness and not once, does she budge or show that she cares. 🙄 FL lets everyone who has done her dirty slide like Ziyu, Sun Yun Er, her aunt, even her grandpa, except the ML. And ML has done so much for her versus them. It's not a tale of a strong FL anymore. It's a story of a stubborn FL who doesn't care for the ML.

I think Chinese drama fans are pretty spoiled. We get 1-2 episodes per day versus Korean dramas, 2 episodes per week. 😂😂 But yet I want the express package now too because I won't have time next week. 🥴😭
