Intersting, cause it's quite easy for me to know what she's thinking and what she's feeling. I would be extremely…
Huh? Rarely see smart and strong FLs? Chinese dramas in the past years have been all about strong FLs such as The Double, Scent of Time, The Starry Love, My Journey to You, A Journey To Love, Blossoms In Adversity, Shenli, A Dream of Splendor, and the list goes ON.
Although I'm not a huge fan of Queen of Tears but in that show, the ML also lied to the FL about a few things, wanting to divorce her, wanting her to die, wanting to be in her will, and so forth. Yet, the execution is done wayyy better than in here. Sure, they're different stories, the amount of episodes are different, different eras, sure the leads were married at one point and estranged, but the story relates to lies from the one you love the most. Hong Hae In is nowhere as smart as LMT in here YET she's much gentler and overall shows all along that she loves her ML.
I'm not even against the chasing if it's reasonable. Like Yuan Qi who chases after Feng Yin in The Last Immortal. He chased her for a good 10+ episodes but that's because he said he didn't love her and accidentally killed her. Both of these dramas had the FL DOUBTING the ML's love, so it makes sense to have an extended chasing period. However, in this drama, the FL acts all cool like she understands and never doubted his love yet she's all over the place with her actions and never really shows that she cares about the ML. She's passively aggressively mistreating his love yet says she isn't. That's sloppy writing that doesn't make sense. If we were to count the time from when she found out in Episode 17, this whole thing would have been 14 episodes by Episode 31 when they patch up and 8 episodes from Episode 23 when they officially parted ways. That's quite long and unnecessary. There comes a time when it becomes all too much.
So, after listening to a lot of fellow females here. I have come to a following conclusion, As long as you believe…
It's a double standard show. If ML does something wrong once, he's suffering the whole show and still, that won't be enough. In reality men don't grovel like this or for this long. This show is creating false narratives on how men act in relationships. Then women become unhappy on why their boyfriends aren't as devoted as the ML. This is probably one of the main reasons why I enjoy Korean dramas when it comes to love. They don't play dumb games. There is rarely any time to waste like this.
The writer should have added 5 minutes (or even less) screen time for LMT to have a monologue, worrying about…
For reals. The chase is so burdensome and tiring. For someone who cares so much about equality, you'd think she'd stop hurting him and herself too by "pretending" to not care. There's a difference between I care but I have my family to worry about and I don't care at all. It's the latter for LMT. And yet, he still comes to save the day.🙄 Oh right...she didn't ask for it. Um, okay.
this show sometimes drags, then moves normally and again drags a lot. but still, it's ok. But what i hate is when…
It's dragging pretty bad at this point. The ML chasing FL is the only plot they have left to extend these episodes until the finale. I had too much expectations from the writers. That's like 8 episodes of chasing ever since Episode 23, since the trailers show that they finally patch up in Episode 31. Wow! 😭😭
