Expect different opinions. If half of the comments are not siding with the FL and most of us are females ourselves, the writing is pretty poor. The writers should convince us that FL is some smart chick without emasculating the ML.

That would hold true if she hadn't been in love with Ziyu before. She knew Ziyu's identity yet accepted him and even worked to accomplish his goals. It would be a lot more suffocating as Ziyu's girl than CXZ's so why the fuss now of wanting to live a carefree life? The only reason why she and Ziyu broke up was because he "cheated" and had nothing to do with not being able to live her life freely.

Yes, make it make sense. FL also got deceived and used by Ziyu yet she doesn't throw him under the bus. Ziyu even indirectly killed her brothers yet she forgot? Ziyu stopped her plans from assassinating Prince Sui but she just let it go? Harming family members is way worse than lies. But then some have excused her grudge towards ML saying it's because she loves ML, so it hurts more. Uhhh...no. If a stranger killed my brothers, you bet I'd be on the chase until that person pays.

That would make sense if she was holding a grudge. But from her last convo, she isn't. She knows his love for her is true. However, she wants to live out her passions, supposedly, so all this chasing is unnecessary.😂 Girl, I want to get to the kisses and hugs already!😭😭

LMT was smarter when she had amnesia. She didn't let petty things get in the way. Now, she no longer has amnesia but too much pride. Her pride doesn't allow her to properly handle issues.

I would like to think we all debate out of love for this drama.😂 If we stay on topic, I don't take anything personally. I don't even take the things I post as concrete because like CXZ said, "People can change"! 😂

It would've made more sense if they made FL doubt the ML's love for her. That way, the chasing back and forth would at least make sense. However, she never doubted his love for her, so what is holding her back? Oh, his identity? How he has shackles and she doesn't want to be trapped in court affairs? But she knew Ziyu was a Prince in distress, that didn't stop her from loving him before?

I don't have an issue with a strong FL but there's not much logic besides the writers wanting to prolong ML's misery. It's as if ML has to chase FL to add value to her.

I would understand if she has some deep conversation with her uncle that after waking up from three years of devotion to a man who is now emperor, being used by two different men in two different ways, she's now returning home to focus on herself and her family. Although she loves ML but she wants to take care of her family with her own two hands before marriage is ever considered again, if she wishes to even marry, because you can't always depend on a man.

She can't even really use the reason of wanting to live out her passions and aspirations either. Because ML has verbally told her and shown her over and over again that he isn't one to clip her wings once she becomes his wife. He supports her in everything she does; he even accepts her humiliating him in public. He has no pride when it comes to her and lets her do whatever she wants.

She could just tell him, I like you too, but it's not the right time. I just returned home and there's a long journey ahead of us with me trying to run my family's business. I don't want you to wait for me as there's no date of when I'll be ready to settle down, so let's just leave it to fate. She can't have a mature convo with him? His divorce letter was sooo much more gracious and sincere.

To assume that LMT didn't want to implicate the ML regarding Prince Sui.

It all comes down to, whether it was intentionally or not, ML is the most intelligent one in the story despite making him foolish in love. Thus, the writer's only way to show that FL is even smarter is to make her win ML all the time. It's a very childish and amateurish way to show FL's intelligence and capabilities when they wrote her quite well in the beginning, even with amnesia. She naturally outwit ML without trying or boasting. But now, it's different. It's funny watching all these people praise FL as intelligent and independent, pursuing her own passions, as she keeps rejecting the ML when it's an obvious plot to drag out the storyline as long as possible because the writers have no creativity to writer a better story that is cost effective. 😂😂

I have issues with the writing of the story, but it doesn't mean I don't like it or not at the point of dropping it yet. I've already invested time, so I'll stick around until the end. If you've seen my previous comments down there, I, too, "assumed" quite a bit to continue, but realized, I can't keep giving excuses for the poor writing. I have to take this drama at face value. Maybe the scene of LMT explaining herself was filmed but it got cut? Who knows but so far, what is shown, the writing leaves us with a lot to assume and desire.

The writing leaves us to "assume" too much. Unless LMT says it herself, I'm not going to assume that she's concerned for the ML at all and that she tried to not implicate the ML with Prince Sui's issue. I've been skimming now, so unless I missed something? She surely doesn't care when she humiliates him. She was even boasting about it to her uncle how ML can't outwit her and she'll continue humiliating him if he comes near her.

I didn't think politics could be so funny with CXZ. That's another part I like about this drama. They don't dwell too deep, just enough to understand ML's struggles, but make it so entertaining! They skip all the heavy plots. ML is sooo smart and charming, he slips his way out of sticky situations all the time. They can never corner him.

Kudos to WCR. If it wasn't for her, LMT would be soooo much more annoying.😂

I wish this drama lots of love and success! ZWY is just sooooo good. I liked TJC in LYF but have fallen for him as an actor in here. Can't wait to see other projects in the future.✌🏼👋

ZWY as CXZ is this show's saving grace. He can juggle politics and chase after his wifey like nobody's business! I think this chasing is going to last for a few more episodes which is too long for me. I didn't think this drama would result into the ML being this way. I should learn my lesson, don't watch Chinese dramas while they're airing. They always drop the ball half way through. Ziyu and his empress literally have more scenes individually and together than our leads now. How disappointing.

I seriously LOVE the empress more than LMT right now. Knowing that Ziyu has done nothing but use her, lie to her, manipulate his way around YET her grace still shows through. She likes Ziyu, too, so it's not like she's not hurting. She's not as prideful as LMT.
