And why do we have to see the ML suffer and cry over the FL and be jealous? Why can't we have balanced out characters?
Are we even watching the same drama? Or are you skimming the courts parts because if you watched them, you'd know how much ML is going through. He isn't even suffering 5% of what she has gone through? He practically saved her by admitting that he was the one who tried to assassinate Prince Sui. Prince Sui is one of the most powerful pillars right now, also wicked and crooked. He's not someone to mess around with. That's why ML has been avoiding him all these years, playing it safe to protect his people YET for her, he came into direct conflict risking his entire army, family, and city's safety. And you're still saying it's not enough? Right, y'all the ones who want him to cough out blood and at the brink of death. It's ridiculous how FL allows herself to be used by Ziyu to get back at ML cuz that's the only thing Ziyu has on ML.
Right there with you. I've seen so many strong FLs fall apart once they fall in love that it completely ruins…
What are you talking about? I'm not talking about the amnesia phase. As of right now, it's evident LMT loves CXZ. CXZ is no rando who continues to save her out of nowhere. The standard has been met. Risking his own life to save the one he loves is the best action to show sincerity, which CXZ has done many times after the revelation. And y'all still think that's not enough. But if he were to straight up beg her, y'all the same ones saying it's too cheap, not genuine enough. If he asks her to marry him, y'all saying he's only in love with the canary her. Everything he does is wrong. Does that make any sense? 😂😂
And why do we have to see the ML suffer and cry over the FL and be jealous? Why can't we have balanced out characters?
No, she doesn't. Ziyu basically stopped her from succeeding her revenge because he still needs Prince Sui. LMT knows that and even called him out on it but what? No cold shoulder? You're right, they have different relationships with LMT. However, Ziyu allowed her brothers, No HIS brothers to die, that's the worst no matter the relationship. Yet he is sulking how much he misses Mount Yang as emperor? Does he even regret those lost lives? When the writing doesn't make sense, it's the writers trying to drag out the whole ML isn't good enough for FL because he lied for unnecessary jealousy tropes and putting FL on a pedal stool versus ML, dumbing down ML so FL can get back at him. It's quite evident and very poor writing.

He STILL needs to earn his way back into her good grace? Why? He practically saved her booty so many times after the revelation when he doesn't have to. So he literally has to die to receive forgiveness?

The problem is, ML isn't the only one who hurt her. Ziyu, who she still believes would be a good emperor, lied, manipulated, placed a target on her back, killed her brothers, almost got her killed, and caused her downfall YET she isn't mad at him? So why does the ML have to receive all her hate and bashing when the other doesn't? She's inconsistent.

Because majority of Asian dramas only create one dimensional villains, it really depends on who the actor is. Shen Yu Rong was despicable for killing his own wife and deserved all that came to him HOWEVER the actor who played SYR was beyond brilliant that made the audience sympathize with him. That's genius acting right there cuz the script was very limited. They made sure he didn't outshine anyone in the show.
I loved MJTY; so well done and the leads were pretty realistic in that world. He still deserves the apology from…
He can chase her but if she's super mean as a response, then he should get the point. Haha. Let time pass until she's ready to realize that belittling someone you love was very unnecessary even if she was hurt in the past. You don't heal a wound with creating a wound on the person you love.

Story of Yanxi Palace still remains her best up to date. She can cry, not saying anything about that, but her eyes are so blank that sometimes, without the dialogue, it'd be hard to figure out what she was thinking.
The chemistry was okay due to limited scenes but even then, it wasn't really there, but still giving them props for trying and it wasn't due to the age gap either. It just wasn't as sizzling as everyone painted it to be. He had more chemistry with Zhou Ye.
The acting was passable, not too bad, overall. The writing was okay for the first four episodes and then it repeated itself, same format, same formula for the next 36 episodes, so it lost its thrill for me.

I guess, we can "assume" that ML heard LMT and SYE talk in the cave about her being the mastermind, so that's all the apology he's going to get. Lol
And that's what I find a bit frustrating now. Before, it was okay that we didn't hear the leads' thoughts because things were much simpler then. BUT now, we almost have to hear their thoughts or else we're going to have to assume our way through when there's no explanation.
This doesnt make sense a woman to chase ML atleast in dramas I mean it doesnt even happen that much in real life…
The Double thrived because they had 10 situations in one episode which is pretty unrealistic and very dramatic. But yes, the second couple's acting WAS FIRE! This drama is a lot slower paced which I like after something as fast as The Double. Yeah, the supporting pairs in here aren't cute enough for my time. Lol
