Yes, I love the parallels in here. Gu Jin killed Feng Yin and Yuan Qi killed A Yin but at the same time Gu Jin birthed A Yin and Yuan Qi birthed Feng Yin. All in all, Gu Jin and Yuan Qi's mistakes created destiny for them to be together which reminds me of another xianxia that I really enjoyed, Eternal Love of Dream. Dong Hua Di Jun and Feng Jiu weren't meant to be together but Shen Ye and Aranya's sad love story persuaded fate, created that destiny for them to be together. Anyway, no wonder Ming Qi decided to resurrect Yuan Qi because it's true, you can change your fate and destiny through true love.

The authors are so clever and can weave such a powerful love story.

People make it seem that being a true god means you can get rid of anyone at anytime you please. If that was true, I don't Ling Feng, one of the weakest snobs, would be talking smack about the all powerful ALP leads. This drama is a reflection of reality. There's a lot of politics involved in everything. Corruption is everywhere and there's not much one person can do even with true god powers.

I haven't read the book but based on the drama, I was thinking, do you think if Yuan Qi hadn't used a tenth of his god spirit to try to save A Yin in the blood lotus, would Feng Yin's last piece of spirit reunite with the rest? Or would it also dissipate thus killing Feng Yin a second time?

This is a stand alone drama. It's not a continuation of ALP where we get to see a glimpse of ALP leads or hear their ending beyond what was shown in ALP. Please keep in mind that different companies are producing each part, so there are copyright issues. Even the names in ALP are changed in this drama. Each company isn't here to promote the novels as a whole and complete story. They're here to make money and don't care to be true or consistent to the trilogy. Thus, there's no family reunion. In terms of timeline, at the end of this drama, drawing from other sources not shown in the drama but from novel readers, the ALP's FL and ML have already united.

This story happens while ALP's FL is still waiting for the ML to return, so no family reunion yet.

Yeah, I understand. I think the person up there will slowly heal from their trauma with time and eventually, judge each person for their own selves. It may be too early right now and sadly, ZLS happens to be associated. But darn, I've been around ZLS and WAY a bit more than usual this time around and ZLS got some very nasty haters as if she did something to them personally. Lol It's scary.

Yeah, although Feng Yin was cold towards Yuan Qi, she was pretty touched and impressed by his betrothal gift which surpassed Hong Yi's any day. Yuan Qi's was truly from his heart but Hong Yi's were treasures out of cultural courtesy.

Yes, Yuan Qi is the most misunderstood and selfless character. Like you said, WAY is too good at playing a weak god that people actually find it annoying to be this kind and gentle. If this drama or storyline had been done 6-7 years ago, maybe it would've been explosive. The audience has changed. The male lead has to be powerful from the get go or else he's too dumb and weak. All last year, the best green flagged male leads got no love. 😂🥲 Poor Yuan Qi. Those who know, know. Those who get it, get it, and that's a blessing for us. ❤️

He's a good kisser. Too bad, they didn't do enough kissing scenes in here, wasted both talents.😂
