I miss my You Qin/CXX and Ye Tan/LLD especially after seeing this funny tweet. Funnily, I just got done watching The Last Immortal and liking that pair too.

They're stand alone dramas, so you actually don't have to watch ALP before this one or vice versa. Just watch each drama for what they are and you'd be a happier watcher that way.

Another ALP fan and comparison.😂 We don't want the ML to be a repeat of his father. The ML is free to have his own story. I love how a true god's powers is portrayed in here through Yuan Qi. It's going to be different and there's nothing wrong with that. Yuan Qi doesn't need to blow up 10 mountains and physically crush Ming Qi to show how powerful he is as a true god. He can't forcibly change anyone that way. When has crying become a form of weakness? Men can't cry or else they're too weak, too focused on love, can't be responsible people? 🥹 Through love, Yuan Qi gave 10/10 of his true god spirit to save the people he loved and sacrificed his chaos origin for the realms, which convinced Ming Qi to change his fate too. Pathetic? Just because he wants to be with the one he loves? Then I must gladly accept that I'm pathetic too. 😂🥹 But I understand. You have your points. At least you watched it though.🥳

Wang An Yu hard carried this show too, not just ZLS based on a few comments I've read. I totally agree. WAY was perfect as YQ, YQ is WAY. ZLS was so good as A Yin and Feng Yin, there's no doubt about her acting abilities!

Yeah, A Yin was 4 years old so she was the purest one. Gu Jin at 200 years old is basically a 5 year old compared to all the older immortals. I actually felt sorry for them, the leads were children in this show. They had to deal with elders they were supposed to trust and respect. It's real life in many aspects. There are so many people at the top that don't deserve our respect and hard work, but we can't do anything about the establishment. They play us in a game they make the rules for. It's not about being smart. A lot of smart people have disappeared in revealing the truth sometimes. It's about gathering enough evidence, having the right people, and waiting for the right time to BRING the house of corruption down from top to bottom. It's not an easy feat. It may look easy in the drama but putting myself in their shoes, it's sort of hard. Thank goodness they're immortals and get a chance to be reborn and receive justice because the human life is sooo short, people never get justice sometimes.

I love that the male leads will always have a boyish charm even though they've lost so much in the process.

Right when he regained his godhood, he automatically lost 9/10 of his spirit by saving the mountain. He never healed from that and then he gave up the last piece of spirit to save the female lead. Although I agree that the fighting scenes could've been better to show his true god powers, but the direction of this drama was more focused on relationships. At the end of the day, it's really just a boy trying to protect the girl he loves without troubling others. It was never a focus on showing how powerful true gods were like xianxias. Gu Jin turning into Yuan Qi wasn't to show how powerful he was as a true god, it showed that he can no longer live the carefree life he once loved. He now had to bear Daze Mountain's massacre on his shoulders and then the devils also re-emerged, so he had to be ready to protect the realms. He couldn't just love A Yin freely anymore. So it's power but in a different sense that may seem weak.

All the villains were hiding under their immortal positions, it's hard to fight head on. There were simply too many bad players and twists. Even if he had true god powers, he can't read minds and do what he pleases. I think this production being made in 2023 should've done more fighting sequences. At least have Ming Qi and Yuan Qi battle it out in good fight but they sort of took the easy route out by using powers. Ten Miles of Peach Blossom didn't have any good fight scenes either but that was 2017. From then, xianxia dramas have gotten into this pattern where the male lead is the most powerful, so we expect that when that's not always going to happen in all xianxias. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. This drama isn't perfect but if it kept you entertained, that's great!🥰

I think it's timing too. Ming Qi needed to witness another unconditional sacrifice to soften his heart too. Not knowing, Ming Qi was slowly being washed by Xiu Yan. 🥲😂
