so friends both love fl !? the worst love triangle in dramas, because even if one give up still he has feelings…
Well as someone who very much avoids love triangles and have even dropped dramas cause of it, I have to say they did a pretty good job here. It didn't feel forced and all of them came to terms with their feelings and had their own happy endings. It really felt like watching real life take its course...
Where I download si jin they only upload it to episode 36 where can did you download? So I'll also watch all today…
Yes I understand that. Honestly, the reason I said to not share publicly is for both cases. As you said sharing them publicly is harmful for the illegal sites and at the same time it also becomes harmful to the drama for losing audience on the legal platforms...So it's best for all to just not advertise them.
It's a love square + some extra lovelines that comes and goes.
It's bearable and personally, I even found it funny or heartwarming at times lol Also love square comes to an end around ep8 so you won't have to bear it for long! The most cringy/painful part is QiQi's actions if you ask me...But I guess characters like her can't be avoided in life and add a twist to the drama. Also, this series is way more than just about high school and their love life after ep 10-11 you will get it better! One of my favorite aspects of this show is the family situations of the 3 leads and the life lessons and thought-provoking scenes we get out of it^^ Ofc the romance of the leads is a nice sweet treat in the 2nd half of this drama.
I mostly agree with what you said. Blossom, Story of Kunning Palace, The Double, etc are definitely much better…
Yes there is no war or even any big of a conflict...They made such a big deal about Namwu and inflatted the issue only to have it burst into nothing in the end lmao I mean it's not like I hate the fact there was no war and bloodshed but they really handled the whole thing poorly and rashly after making so much noise...

Oh same here. As I said for a one time watch it was quite enjoyable^^ It had it's moments but yeah overal it did not leave up to past works of the same trope and it did not leave me with a feeling of nostalgia or great excitement...

Yes most of these sites online are pirate/illegal sites. So it's best to not share them so openly...The legal sources are the ones shown above here on MDL
Seeing a Romeo and Juliet reference in an ancient Chinese drama? I was actually visably confused by that one..…
I was too lol But I think that they just translated this that way for the foreinger audience to get the meaning and the dialogue didn't mention them actually but some other ancient chinese star crossed lovers with similar fates (or so I hope lmao)
It is a good drama (8.5/10 for me), but I think screenwriters didn't adapt yet to the 40 episodes limit. Sometimes…
Exactly...The writting and editing in this drama became it's biggest flaw...It's not a bad one time watch to pass time but definitely not something I would rewatch or have it stay on my mind for days to come mulling over it and feeling nostalgic...
So I finally finished this and here are my thoughts on it... The acting was solid enough, with Zhang Wan Yi giving a decent performance, though not his best in my opinion since I have seen few other works with him that I enjoyed more. The female lead surprisingly impressed me here, unlike in past works where I couldn't get past her or the plot. The supporting cast also did a great job, adding some extra needed depth/emotion to the drama at times.
The script and editing however are where this drama truly falls short. The emperor’s character feels inconsistent throughout the series, one sec he’s portrayed as wise, but his blind devotion to his sister makes him seem foolish. Even if she saved his life a wise emperor would never overlook her behavior time and time again... And the Namwu and human trafficking subplots also felt underdeveloped and made random appearances and exits throughout the series used as mere plot devices by the writers.
Now on the positive side, the chemistry between the main couple was lovely, and I found the side couples sweet as well. The final episode tied everything together, providing a satisfying conclusion despite the gaps in the story which did leave me on a happy note. I also loved the music and costumes.
So for me, Si Jin is a one-time watch for those who enjoy historical rebirth dramas and have nothing else on their watch list, but it isn’t a drama that stands out enough to warrant rewatching. If you're someone who cares deeply about a well-crafted, meticulous plot, this one may not be for you. The acting might be nice, but it isn’t enough to redeem the weaknesses of the story and editing imo.
Before I continue with the episodes I need to know from those who bought the express package. Is it a happy ending and was the last ep satisfying with tighing nicely the loose ends?
This kdrama kinda reminds me of "Undercover! Chaebol High School" Manhwa, but there the MC is female, and the mission also differs... I wish one day we could get an adaptation for it too >< Now, as for this show, it has been quite enjoyable so far up to ep6 that I've watched with a rather fresh plot! I just love the mystery aspect and the "ghost" solving cases related to the gold bars!
Yep! Which is why I was mostly watching the eps at daytime and not before bed lol But I did not regret watching the show one bit even if it scared me at some arcs ><
Last episode kinda hit hard ngl. The story overall felt so real & sincere. Easily became one of my favourites.
I totally get you. The last episode hit me so hard, I was crying for like 20 minutes straight... It felt so real, raw, and authentic, and for a moment, it made me forget about the few frustrating parts of this drama. It left me with the best, most heartwarming feeling yet, but also a bit empty inside, haha.

I also didn’t like how the female lead’s grandmother was treated. Despite repeatedly wronging Jiang Si, she faced no consequences, which felt unfair and frustrating to me. While family drama clichés are common in these types of historical dramas and I enjoy them quite a bit, they were poorly executed here. The editing was also choppy, and the pacing felt uneven at times.
