i haven’t finished the drama yet, does song cong end up with du man or qiqi?
In novel with Duman but here in the series I have heard from spoilers he ends up alone or in just "some" type of non confirmed relationship with Duman. Good news is that he does break up with QiQi around ep 26 or so!
Is Qiqi's character sick? Why should such character even be a main lead. I really feel bad for song cong, he deserves…
True...But I guess it was to shed some more realism...After all, not all of the friends or lovers we have end up being nice and decent. Sometimes, there are some crooked and "sick" individuals mixed in! And I guess that's QiQi here. What upsets me personally it's not her character or existence in the drama as a whole BUT the screentime that was dedicated to her...Like they should have closed her arc wayy sooner and finally give Song Cong the happy ending he deserves with Duman instead of dragging it out...So yeah they kinda failed with the pacing there!
As a comfort let me inform you that in the novel he ends up with Duman eventually! I guess they didn't have enough…
Agreed I would have been way more invested if they did that! Honestly, QiQi got too much screen time for nothing...She started as an annoying self centered individual and stayed the same even after years... The only way I would appreciate her character would be if there was some growth to her character, but sadly, she remained the same self centered and shallow person she was...Like what was the point? She only left viewers with a bad taste in their mouths...I would have much preferred to see more of Song Cong's sweet romance with Duman cause he deserves a happy ending as much as HuanJing!
Xiao Wen as main lead?.I'll quit. This man has less facial expression than a stone Not to mention his mediocre…
I am all for constructive criticism, but blatantly coming and leaving this type of comment when you are 0 eps into the drama, it's kinda hilarious to say the least! 😂 And before you go into defense mode, I am not even his fan, this is the 2nd time I have seen him in a series in years. And idk about other cdrama but here he fits the youthful, goofy character he plays it quite well and didn't have much trouble holding his own, even in the more emotional scenes^^
What i am not satisfied with is Song Cong ending up alone
As a comfort let me inform you that in the novel he ends up with Duman eventually! I guess they didn't have enough eps left to develop their relationship here so our Song Cong got the short end of the stick out of our sweet trio :( If you ask me they should have had QiQi out of the picture sooner...She literally serving nothing but annoyance and confusion sigh... I keep skipping and fast forwarding through their "dating era" right now...
I think the biggest issue with QiQi is that she never really saw Song Cong for who is actually and just image…
Because QiQi never actually loved Song Cong! She was just in love with the version of him she created inside her head and just wanted to get to own him! She literally even compared her crush for him to "a dress she desperately wants to own but can't buy" lmao She is just far too self-centered to be able to focus on someone else... Song Cong deserves someone who fits him and understands him better...
Finally, they dropped the express?! Cannot wait to watch the last 7 eps today and savor this to the fullest!! I can already tell I will be missing this series and my sweet SongJingHuan trio!!
Edit: I just started ep23 and I guess I forgot how emotionally realistic and deep this drama gets haha...It's really way more than just your average youthful coming-of-age romance cdrama!! Already got me bawling my eyes out. I guess after Song and Jing, it's now time for Huan er's family to face some difficulties...And especially Huan er's situation just hits too close to home for me! And this episode made me realize once again that however old you might be, you will always seek out your mother. Because her presence alone can fill you up with immense strength and comfort! And that you will never stop being seen as a child by her even if you already got a child yourself!
Very different vibe to Hidden Love for sure. I was surprised at the casting before but watching now I realised…
Yes it definitely has a much darker and serious vibe compared to Hidden Love, and watching the brother there, I was never expecting his story to take such a turn for sure with his love interest...As for needing strong acting skills rather than visuals, I think TFF combines both here quite well, and Hidden Love didn't lack in it either for what it had to serve with its given plot! ^^
A quick question:Do I have to watch Hidden Love if I wanna watch this?
No you don't! All the actors are diferent and the storylines are barely connected! You can watch both as stand alones. Even I who have watched Hidden Love I try to see them as not conected cause it confuses me more if I try to connect the timelines from both lol
I have finally caught up, and honestly, this drama was way darker and more emotional than I expected. Especially since some scenes would hit a bit close to home for me...Idk It just has that suffocating, depressing vibe at times that makes me get all melancholic while watching...Hence, why I have been fast forwarding through some of the scenes...Other than that I like this drama on the most part it's quite engaging, and I love how ML is a whole walking green forest! I wish that we can finally start to get more happy and cheerful vibes now that there seems to be some progress in their relationship! I need them to be more honest with one another and start moving already! Also, I love and am very thankful for the second couple in this drama. They are so funny and cute and always manage to lighten the mood with their scenes! Oh and the current most annoying character (aside from the aunt/mom) has to be that new male intern...He is doing TOO MUCH, especially for someone who is clearly not showing interest in him...Like take a hint! And that scene with him forsfully making his way in the apartment truly irked me! Btw I wish the FL could have been more fierce, but then again, knowing her background story, it's understandable I guess...But I think lately she has started coming out of her shell a bit!
I was hoping song cong & huan er would get together 1st then break up but instead we got qiqi & sc 🙄. Skipping…
Αs much as I hate and fast-forward QQ's & SC's scenes myself, I wouldn't want that to happen because it would ruin our sweet trio's balanced relationship! SongJingHuan friendship means too much for me to have it fall apart over a love issue... I just hope SC can just get with someone better like Duman and the 2 couples remain friends that go to double dates >< As for QiQi, she can go off and have her own drama like the drama queen and self-absorbed person she is (though I won't care to tune in lol)
Yes and no! The main girl has her eyes on the second lead, and so does the second lead. However, her best friend…
Umm you might have gotten confused yourself but Main girl (Huan er) never had a thing for SML (Song Cong) she liked ML (Jing Qi) from the very start. But like you said ML had his eyes on SFL (QiQi). It was a love circle in the begining with everyone having 1 sided loves...
It has different types of love geometry depending on the eps LMAO But it's not the annoying kind cause even I who usually gets annoyed I didn't here, well except for QiQi's ...I can't with that girl...

And it's still ongoing but the express package should drop tommorow!
