I absolutely love the parallels between the youthful romance of their parents from the past and the current timeline, where their kids are experiencing their own youth in Ep13! This drama has managed to stir up so many emotions in me, and some scenes really hit close to home. I find myself not only envious of the trio’s strong bond but also of the friendships their parents share. It makes me hope that I'll also still have friends I truly care about as I grow older. So far, only a few have stayed after high school and university! Time, adulthood responsibilities, and the distance that comes with different universities often create friction and make people drift apart, something I’ve seen firsthand. But thankfully, some friends are still around. Who knows what the next 20 years will hold, though...Watching their parents' journey really moved me!

In ep9 we got Jing comforting her and in ep10 we got her also doing the same for him! Memorizing a whole script of big football players and how they overcame their injuries oh my Huan er😭😭 "Only when we lose the courage to start over, does youth truly come to an end."

And honestly, QiQi's possessiveness feels so hypocritical cause she was the one who approached Huan er with other intentions in mind and if anything she was just jealous of how well Huan er could get along with everyone (even Song Cong) unlike her...Kinda the type of attitude of "You can't be better than me and you only have to be close to me even if that doesn't go both ways" logic...Truly a terrible friend who only cares about her own feelings.
I am on ep8 and it's so sad to see our sweet trio's relationship and balance falling apart...My Song looks so hurt😭 Huan er didn't really have to go that far with distancing herself...My boy Song was even holding himself back so well but just because Huan er noticed QiQi's feelings for him and how she was annoyed when she or any other girl was near Song she became awkward... I really liked and appreciated Jing's words to her though "I think you have done nothing wrong. Don't be afraid of others' annoyance and stop being yourself because of it." VERY wise words and they came from our supposedly goofy Jing! This guy is so much more than what he shows... Also when QiQi said she would sing a song for a friend she wishes to have forever and my Huan er thought it was for her...It hurt so bad😭 She is really a girl's girl and still kinda naive when it comes to love sigh... Anyway, I really hope SongHuanJing will get to overcome everything nicely and keep this close bond they have built with each other intact!

Honestly, QiQi feels miles away from our sweet trio who share a genuine bond and friendship with one another...Even the beginning of her friendship with Huan er was built on interest! She didn't approach her or spend time with her out of genuine care but just wanted to use her to get closer to Song Cong and learn more about him through her and their friend group! Even the things she would give to Huan er like the shampoo gift, the book, the free meal were as if she was trying to "pay her back" for her "services" to strengthen their fragile and surface-level friendship! Honestly, she rubbed me off from episode 1, and sadly, after each episode I watch, she disappoints me further and reaffirms my initial thoughts about her! But I think her own family has also played a part in this, they cultivated this self-centered attitude and cool temper of hers. Still, one's own actions are the result of their own choices and decisions in the end. And that's why I can see why her relationship with Song Cong wouldn't be able to last! They are fundamentally different and hold different interests and values in their lives! And even her feelings for him do not feel as genuine after watching her compare him to "a dress she desperately wants but can't buy since the deposit is already paid" lol Still I do hope the scriptwriter proves me wrong and there is some growth to her character and cultivation of genuine feelings between her and the rest!

Love of the Divine Tree turned out to be a much more enjoyable watch than I initially expected, and it even brought back some nostalgic memories of my favorite Xianxia series!
