Hi! Douban is basically the Chinese ver. drama review platform that only allows registered users which makes it thus far seem more "reliable" and why ratings are harsher there. Yes, a 7/10 for a douban score is considered good and decent enough, especially for idol costume drama like this one! Usually 10 or even 9 are pretty unattainable there lol For example, as reference other dramas similar to this genre from last year like Moonlight Mystique or Blossoming Love had 5.9 and 6.7 scores respectively!
Guys after Justice in the Dark another C-BL Chasing the Light (SAYE) is rumored to have been picked up by a Japanese platform and plans to air soon in Japan!! Thanks to Japan we might actually get more shelved and much awaited BL!! So please support these attempts in any way you can and never shut up about them!!

That's because there was barely any money left for promo. This is an A rank budget drama and they decided to priorise other things like CGI, OST and overall production...And that's also the reason they cast less known leads to save money! If I remember correctly there was even a meme pic on Weibo I saw from X showed how the promo team was made of just 1 employee while CGI team was endless 😭😭 So this drama barely got any official promos in the beginning and it was only shared from mouth to mouth or by the actors themselves through the media...However, since it still managed to gain traction and outperform its budget into S rank so I guess now Iqiyi is more than willing to push for it harder!

But there are secondary character(s) with crushes on our leads but none are worthy to intervene with their love story and remain one-sided to the end. 3. Hmm, breakup, yeah, but not intentional. It's either caused by time, reincarnation or amnesia lol I guess there are some misunderstandings here and there, but you don't have to worry since they are resolved early, and the leads have too sweet of a romance!

Same here! This is all I have ever wanted in a cdrama ending and sadly the latest years have been hard to achieve it! LOTDT truly hit the spots for me!
This has to be the MOST SATISFYING happy ending I have watched in YEARS in a Cdrama!!
Not only did they use more than half of the final episode to show us their happy moments, instead of the typical 5-minute happy ending formula but almost every good character made it to the end alive, and all the villains got their deserved punishment!! And that scene of the ML with the apron carrying their 3rd child and the ladle in hand had me rolling 😂😂 He is the ultimate dream of a husband our Ranran sure has superior taste though I guess that could be considered his payback time for all the "tiring" nights Ranran had to go through!!🤭 With how energetic our little Su looks a 4th child coming shouldn't be hard to imagine lmao He held back long enough the past 2 lifetimes😂
This drama is so well written that the amnesia arc isn't annoying for even a second,Kudos to the writers.I love…
Ikr?? It's one of the few amnesia tropes that didn't have me pulling my hair and I actually enjoyed it!! Maybe it also has to do with me already liking the scriptwriter's past works like L&R, TLI etc.
Currently on ep 32 and I can't get enough of SYS amnesia era!! His tsundere grumpy side is everything >< And honestly, props to the team and cast because usually I HATE amnesia tropes. But here, it was done so well and completely blended in! It was Ranran’s turn to yearn for him, to have him in front of her and be the only one with their memories, and to try everything in her abilities to get him back.I love angst and couples having parallels! Since Express will be dropping later today or tomorrow I plan to stop here and watch the last 8 eps together!

Honestly this drama had some of the best CGI I have seen in a Xianxia and it's obvious that majority of the A rank budget for this drama went on it! This drama has great CGI, OST, costumes, and production team which is why they had to cut expenses by getting less known leads, have some editing issues/voice recording issues, and lack of promo. But I think that it was worth it and the cast managed to carry their roles well!! They managed to outperform their budget to S rank, gain multiple top1 spots in different countries, and for the leads gain more attention. This was the first main ML role for Deng Wei and personally, I think he nailed it!
Ep 9 was truly the definition of Gamin's moto "I create opportunities even in hellish situations"🥺 It was such an emotional episode to see them fall apart and later come together again with Gamin leading the way! My boy! And idk about others but this ep didn't disappoint me at all if anything it brought out my emotions and built up my excitement for last ep! On my way to watch the big finale of S1~ ><
I cannot wait to watch the new episodes today 😍 Btw it just dawned on me that this is the first ML role for Deng Wei! Although I am rooting for Chan Haun and Jing Qi Chi I still have a soft spot for my boy Song! I did some research myself on Iqiyi, and the heat index has been stuck at 8k+ for days. I hope it can hit at least 9k+ before the finale so that it can get the hype it deserves! I also found that although it is an A+-rank drama, according to Yunhe, it outperformed its investment tier and was given an S-rank drama title! Which is definitely good for the production team and actors. I am honestly interested to see what the Douban score will look like!
For those who don't understand: Heat index: measures popularity and engagement. Each platform (iqiyi, tencent, youku etc.) has its own index standard for measuring how popular the drama is during its broadcast. It can only be compared within platforms not across them.
