I think BJS came back this way is to show us his most inner feeling. BJS will keep everything inside of him, but the baby version will show everything. like how he love his wife the most n only care about her. when he was a XuanJun, he has to care for the world, n not his wife. obey the rules n such, but deep down, he loves nothing more than pleasing his wife.

fair idea. it’s an original script n it does have a budget (especially if words in the wind is true: many big platforms are having money problem). but most importantly, we just don’t have the episode count for it, due to censorship. lol, soo I’m rewatching the first 3 eps n I noticed this about the bgm. when she gave him the rose to propose, the bgm was melancholy, the usual type of bgm for reminiscing past event/feeling. sure enough, later on, we have a scene where he gave her a rose n propose they do a love tribulation together.
then there is the bit where she gave him the berries, claiming she got it for him n he definitely like it. n the music was mysterious/dangerous like a trap is about to be sprung. n this highlight the intense guard up feeling BJS feels. so for a person who did not have the hindsight that this was a charade, the bgm is totally out of whack n not suitable with the mood. but for me, who knew what’s going on, I can’t say that’s the wrong choice lol. so I think there’s intention in choosing which bgm for which scene.

BJS hates her because if your wife keeps trying to kill you n locked you away in jail for 100yrs without a reason, you would hate her, too 😅 also they were of opposite spectrum of the personality and POV of everything. very easy to dislike each other when that as the foundation n you add love on top 😅

I think she would still chose killing the drought dragon. she did not see killing of the drought dragon as the wrong thing to do. now BJS’s taking away her power is something he can control, n it is this power that she can save her son. the fact that he did it because he decided to (she does not know the real reason), she puts all the blame on him. in her perspective, he did wrong by her. in our viewers’ perspective, he is less at fault (not completely fault free), n should be pardoned because again he did not have the power of hindsight.
