guys, BJS being a baby -isn’t just a ploy to make audiences fall in love with his cutesy n forget what he did. his baby form is his inner feeling. when he’s normal, he always about upholding the law. but deep down, he loves 1 thing n 1 thing only, his wife. now, currently that outer shell is broken, n his inner self is showing. the writer wants us to see: without the mantle of having to uphold the laws, deep down he only care about making his wife happy. which you can also see in the mortal world: fanning her to sleep, making her home nice n comfortable, while pretty and elegant, accomodating her every needs: makeup, brushing hair, etc.
I recognize a few of the supporting actors from other dramas, and I know they’re talented. Their roles here…
the support cast indeed didnt have much to do. I’m ok with not always use the support cast, or giving them extensive background, because that just eating to the main plot line, n taking away the time needed for the main couple n their problem. plus, it’s getting stale to always have support casts with love story, massive background.

we as the audiences have the “in hindsight” point of view. we get to see the fuller picture than the characters, we also have the internet to discuss our theories and what’s not 🤣🤣🤣 anyway, I think it’s great to see a drama can make ppl discuss so much! let keep it positive until the end. and this is not direct to the OP, but to everyone who read this: one important theme - that I think most not seeing - even irl, when a couple experienced crisis, when 1 party is giving up, if u, too, give up, that’s the end of your road. so be like BJS, never give up. that’s your only chance of reconciliation and giving you and your partner a second chance.

very much this. I also dont want ppl to lean too much on the whole feminism thing. Chinese ain’t like that, they always see woman as equal in many sense, however, ultimately the husband/father side will trump over that ideology because of the society structure. and the only thing this drama is trying to convey is let ppl have their own choice, don’t enforce your ideas on them even though it IS for their own good!
