yes, she pretended all along. obviously she couldn’t start as early as an infant lol, because 1 - she has no power as a baby, 2 - he can kill her easily. what she needs is for him to use the heaven turning seal on her. by using it, he would lose half his power, she get accessed to it (it’s hidden away from her). but because he’s quite strong, much stronger than her because she’s a mortal and because she’s injured from long before, she needs to shave off his power along the way. hence the pretending from the get go. lady knows revenge is best served cold, so she took her time lol 😅

I did not have a problem with it after first ep, or maybe half way through first ep! the story is great so far, everyone assumes it’s the same misunderstandings that lead them to fight each other, but YZ said not, so let’s see how it’ll play out. I have not seen Joseph before but he can act, and he acted well so far. I love his coldness that isn’t 1 dimensional. he’s curious, he’s doubtful, guarded yet cant help feeling happy and falling in love with her. poor my BJS 🤣🤣🤣

you know it’s good when I feel for both, how innocent LQY is, n how I pitied her that all her love and efforts only get a cold shoulder in returns. yet I feel for BJS, he’s in turmoils, he was so hurt, has so much doubts n hatred, yet the sweetness penetrated him to the point where he’s laughing bitterly at himself! the twisted smile of not knowing he should be happy or being mocked for feeling so happy. I want to see more of them together (even though I’m worried for the plot lol, keeping my expectations low). but I’m loving their chemistry n their moments together 🥰

if you go back to the first few episodes, there’s a scene where YL forced kiss her in her bedroom, and there is a scene where he was behind her when she was already laying in bed, all that alluded to he r*ped her (u cant seriously think he would enter the empress’s sleep chamber just to kiss her, right 😅 to the previous life YL, JXN was supposed to be his wife, up until the moment his family got massacred and she cancelled their engagement)

you got it absolutely right. XW knew about the fact that JXN got r*p3d by YL, Thats why he gave her the dagger to protect herself when he’s not there to do so. but she misunderstood, n took her own life. XW has always loved her, as we see in the current time line, he said he would never hurt her n owes her his life when she saved him during the trip to the capital, and he meant it. since that event is the same in both timelines, it’s safe to assume his feelings for her is the same (the start of it). and he has always been a keen observer, so he would see straight through her, and again, knew who she really is, not some weak flower like ZZ thinks lol.
XW has always wanted to die after the incident happened when he was a kid. he was only meant to live until his revenge is done, the suicidal thoughts have always been with him. she was the only one that potentially can hold him back. but since she was dead in the first timeline, he has nothing left to live for. in the second timeline, after finding out about the past, n his “crazy episode” in the cave, she understood he’s pretty suicidal, Thats why she said she will not agree to die with him.

Counter point: if we don’t criticise, things will just keep getting worse and illogical. This is why there is constructive criticism. I think your point is valid to a certain degree, but it’s very much will lead to worse outcomes. Currently, we are in the culture that we shouldn’t say no, nor saying anything negative because it’s disrespectful. But That’s just phoney, and “me, too” behaviour. And in any forum, a form of mass bully (if the majority loves it, and you say no, everyone jump on you). Where is our freedom of expressions? The other side didn’t call you disrespectful, you shouldn’t call the other side so.
Like I have said many times, if you don’t like someone’s comment, move on. The production company and the actors don’t care for our thoughts, because things are not getting better, not the scripts nor the acting 🙄 nor the sets/costumes in some places! 🤦‍♀️ n they got paid before we even get glimpse of their drama, so you shouldn’t worry about their faces.
Last n not least: “if you are so much smarter, why don’t you write the script”. It’s evident that many talented, good director n script writer don’t actually get job. Whereas many non talented one keeps getting job? Why? Idk, but we have what we have because cdrama manufacturers believe we would be fine with any garbage 😑
