Haha, I agree on the ugly bit. Though to be quite fair, I still don’t see Xiao Zhan as cute either. Because I haven’t seen anything of him. So I’m with you, must see them act to love their look. Also Song Wei Long is cute, but after half of untouchable lovers, I’ll wait until he do a drama that interest me to watch, because that guy is a definition of walking vase lol, so boring watching him act , even though he is gorgeous, but that bored me if he can’t act lol 😅

There’s a clip on YouTube show how sad Bai lu is, apparently she couldn’t stop crying after they finish the scene. Her eyes were all puffy because of the crying. And yea, they did well, hope they get recognition for this

ShiYi was a symbol of hope for him. The hope that life will be better, that someone will love him and take care of him, who will always by his side, that’s why he must have her. She was how he pulled through all the abuses he received from the cruel empress dowager. So yes, good writing to justify why he is obsessed with her and must have her.

In the book, the reason why ZSC was killed because the empress wanted to please ZSC by giving him CSY, she thinks he will remember this “thoughtful gesture”. And that would then take away CSY, and the crown prince can’t have that. But then everything kinda happen without much of him planning, so the political aspect kinda bleh. So they changed it for the drama.

In the drama, the reason why ZSC was killed was because he would always support the “correct” bloodline to ascend the throne, and the crown prince will forever not be the king. Also because he’s so good at military plus having a strong army, and if the rumour about his love for ShiYi is any true, at anytime, he can riot. So the future is quite stressful and uncertain if he’s still alive. After all, many heroes/famous people fall because of beauty. Plus the idea of killing ZSC was pushed by all the bad guys who’s afraid getting killed by ZSC if he’s to find out they helped the empress dowager before, then they helped the enemies of the country, so they rather him die. The crown prince’s father in law wants to kill him because ZSC made him lose face in the battlefield, years of tribute and being looked down in the court made him hate that whole line of family, he’s only tolerate the crown prince because he thinks his grand kid will be king one day

Uhm, I can’t get behind goodbye my princess. No offence but commit suicide for an A-h is just weak, wrong in multiple level. Like compare to untouchable lovers, Bai Lu’s character commit suicide but also kill the dude, she clearly know what’s right and wrong. You can argue he’s now living a life full of sadness, but that’s just naive, dude can kill a whole tribe without a blink, he will bypass this “pain” and just move on, and possibly go around and murder a bunch of other tribes 😒
