Yup, ZSC picked the name Chen as he want it to be the same as the historical general, since he already I heritage the ZhouSheng part. And his family linage is from our beloved general’s family :) also that’s why his family do not like to mingle with politics, a big portion of the family got killed by it even though all they did was being good to the government

I think they are trying to make the cui family good, also if the uncle die, and only CSY’s mother left to handle the family, she would not really bother to go against him, if anything, she would be for it lol. Moreover, if the uncle and brother did it, she would get wind from it, be from mother or servants, and her as a lone girl without any power or connection is helpless and can’t really do anything, which make she’s super useless, and won’t gain any point with the viewers. Whereas the one in the drama, she was house arrest so hard that not even the brother general can break in, make it more believable that she can’t do anything
