You should watch all Jing Rong series (condor hero, return of the condor hero, etc), they are the classic of you haven’t seen them, and a lot of tvb series in the 90s because the plots are quite varied.

:) after a while, you kinda get how cdrama operate lol, and that makes it really easy to follow without glueing your eyes to the screen. I do pay more attention when I don’t have sub as I’m reading the actors’s acting for cue to what’s going on. Unless the plot is very complicated, and early in the drama, then you can’t guess right. But in this instance, you know the characters won’t change, their attitudes toward each other and event surround themselves, it’s pretty easy to guess what’s they argue about lol.

According to an article I read, Leo’s best acting comes from these tragic roles, the more tragic, the better his acting lol. So I say for an actor, that’s better than being the forgotten main hero like in this drama. Rather being in a drama and really make an impact than being the lead that no viewers love. And the trailer for the last two episodes are out, and it’s not looking great for leo

I can’t say the chemistry was that great between RL and RQ either :/ but I think it has to do with the actress, and not Leo. For example, the scene where she tried to grab some apricot and fell and was caught by Leo, and she supposed to feel something, a bit of attraction, a bit of embarrassment, etc... she couldn’t do it, or I don’t feel it. I even purposely rewind that scene to check and come to the conclusion that she can’t act embarrassed/attracted.
And there is this ridiculous thing about her dream, where they were in the countryside house, she thought it was WY, but turn out to be RQ, and she likes no, it has to be WY. I’m like lol, for once, it’s not a wet dream >_> so why can’t it be your brother -.-? It is not like you were holding him or anything >_> you were just looking at him smiling -.- can’t a sister look at her brother and smile???? Lol. I agree that Leo’s acting make 55 and 56 pleasant to watch, but there is still so much left to desired! Also almost no scene of WY, that’s pleasant to watch in a sense lol!

Omg, that’s an insult to Mark, I’m sorry to your Aunty. I never seen mark before 10MPB, and agree he doesn’t look great in costume, but after a few eps, I love him! And totally from then on, I didn’t care how he look, because his acting was soooo good. Aarif could not even polish Mark’s shoe in term of acting :/ he couldn’t even do 1 moment of soulful eyes (the eyes that demonstrate the feeling he meant to convey). At least with Leo, there are moments where he does deliver through his eyes.
Not really lol. The fact that I can basically watched the argument in 53 without sub and knew what’s the argument about and my mandarin is like zero lol, I knew what’s going on lol. I watched too many drama to have one really surprise me or I can’t guess the talk lol. And if a drama is really good, I watch the whole ep raw (Korean or Chinese) then rewatch in full in English or viet sub lol

While I agree that no children should be paying for their parents’s sin, however, if you were gonna make a story, and make one child pay for it, to make it interesting, should make it even lol. Because otherwise we only have 1 child pay for it and ultimately he’s the evil one in every story (basically the usual cliche story). In the drama, I think the writers love FC so they white wash him a bit :p but they didn’t dare to change the fundamental storyline lol. And because of the white wash, they also take away intimate scenes between FC and RL (idk whether it’s true, but some novel fans said there are some hot scenes between FC and Rl lol), imagine that, if we get more couples scenes between FC and RL, WY and RL ship will sink quite hard lol
You should give this a try if you really really really love the reverse harem trope (i.e. loads of Alpha Guys…

FC and WY are twins. RQ is the son of the evil empress (whom FC thought was his mother), and the king of the west. In 54, it’s revealed that WY’s father was making a deal with the king of the west (the west is where RQ is the current king), to overthrown another kingdom, the evil empress is the princess of this kingdom. After succeeding in winning the king of that kingdom by marrying the princess, WY’s father turned around, and let her be raped by the king of the west in place for WY’s mother, then put her into cold palace (yup, wy’s father is despicable, and I’m sorry, he started it all... treating a woman like that, no wonder one of his son has to pay the price, too sad for FC). According to the teller, to WY’s father, the evil empress was a constant reminder of the humiliation he has to endure while still under controlled of the big kingdom (before he successfully overthrown that kingdom and killed all the royalties!). Anyway, because he literally destroyed her family, her kingdom, even her dignity, then abandoned her in the cold palace, then kill her, and attempted to kill her son, no wonder that woman can become so cruel and try to exact that revenge upon him and his family!
Anyway, RQ seems to be the son of the empress and the king of west, because at that time, she got poisoned by WY’s father, and that poison is now what’s inside RQ. This is a pretty horrid story, and I kinda would like WY partly pay for it, it shouldn’t be just FC!

Her hair is black again thanks to the medicine that FC nourished with his own blood. The title is for flashy reason lol: her life is so tragic that the grieves made her hair turn white! But as we can see, not so tragic lol. Maybe in the book, due to the “I have to have xxx in front of 10000 men”, but even so... anyway, grabbing title lol
